  1. How? Burrow shredded the Bills last year and Allen led the offense to 10 points. Burrow beat Mahomes and went to a SB. At this point, it's very clear Burrow has led his team further than Allen. Sure there are many factors in play besides the QB. Nevertheless, Burrow and the Bengals have advanced further than any Allen led Bills season. That's just a fact. I don't get how Bills fans think they are better than Cinci.
  2. I would pick Burrow over Allen when the game's on the line. Just my opinion as a football fan. I'm sure many will disagree. I could point to Burrow in the playoffs and his SB.appearence as a counter. For me the QB rankings are: 1: Mahomes by a huge margin. 2: Burrow edges out Allen. 3: Allen clear 3rd. Physical Talent only considered Allen is the most gifted in the NFL.
  3. Solid post. I'm feeling the same kind of vibe. I find myself being more and more disappointed because of the last few years of playoff losses. I keep waiting for a different result. Hoping for a different result. Praying for a different result. Yet, the results remain similarly disappointing. The wait till next year theme is growing old. Seems like the Bills and the Cowboys have a lot in common. Both really good teams that fall flat in the playoffs.
  4. That's one way to look at. I'm on the record saying Davis is a good WR 3/4. So I'm more than fine having him in the role. My contention is that Gabe is not a good WR2. What is his current role on the team? I was advocating that the team needed to upgrade the position. That's where I think Beane has errored. Granted he had difficult choices to make. Beane has talked highly of Gabe and he's given him the reigns to the WR2 position. I believe that is a mistake and a weakness of the team. Hopefully, Gabe stays heIalthy and is more productive. I'm not optimistic but it certainly is a possibility; especially if others step up and the oline is better. I did not consider the level of compensation the Bills would receive if Gabe gets picked up. Plus, as mentioned getting him on the cheap for this year is advantageous. I WAS WRONG. However, I still stand by Beane failed to upgrade the WR2 position. Perhaps you disagree. That's fine. I don't think that Beane bashing. Rather, it's Beane criticizing. Big difference. Hope that clarifies my position.
  5. Come on folks stop with the Davis injury excuses. The guy was heathly in the last 3rd of the season and the playoffs. During this period, he was average at best because hes an average WR2. He will never be a top end WR2 because of his well known limitations. Let's be honest here. Gabe is best used as a WR 3/4. He's able to be less skilled CBs and less attention is on him. Think of the KC playoff game as a great example. Bingo. Spot on right here!!!! Oh maybe that's why he can't make those contested catches very well.
  6. Let's just hope the Bills don't pay him. He's not worth 10-15 million. I wonder if the Bills looked to trade him this off season. He's likely to hit the free market and the Bills will get little to nothing in return now. Did they error in judgement? The Davis love on this board is kind of crazy. Folks, he's just average and limited. The Bills need to improve the WR2 position. Diggs production playoff time will be dramatically reduced again without another viable passing weapon. Gotta hope someone else steps it up because Davis isn't that guy. Yet, Beane continues to pound the table for him. Feeding the fans a ray of hope.
  7. I saw this yesterday. Couldn't help but shed some tears. That is some much watch tv as a Bills fan, football fan, family man, and everyone fighting cancer.
  8. Perhaps he's better but your description of Mims certainly is applicable to Davis. It was not about whose better rather than comparing their short comings. Just food for thought. How good do you think Davis would be if he was in Mims situation in NY? Vice versa? I'd argue Allen has greatly enhanced Gabe's game while the Jets situation did the opposite for Mims.
  9. I think the Bengals are a better team than the Bills. Their wide receivers are probably the best in the league, they have an improved oline, Anarumo mixes up the defenses and schemes well, and Burrow is every bit as good as Allen. Physical talent wise Allen is by far more gifted. However, Burrow has that it factor and knows how to win. The Bengals look to be a poor match up for the Bills. Not sure how people can rank Buffalo better than Cinci. Cinci waxed the Bills for 5 quarters last year. Until the Bills show me something Cinci gets the edge.
  10. Gunner are you referring to Gabe Davis?
  11. Bills could have picked him up for nothing. It's not like the WR core is rock solid. Maybe the Jets, wouldn't trade him within the division? Mims might have produced with Allen throwing him the ball. In NY, he never had a solid QB behind him.
  12. I think 13 wins is way too optimistic. Tough division games and those brutal away games vs the top teams in the league. I think they win 10 games and make the playoffs. I don't see a reasonable path to 13 wins. However, McD knows how to win regular season games. Could be another great regular season only to lose early on in the playoffs. Nevertheless, it will be seen as a successful season. I'd be happy with that. How about you?
  13. The only reason I didn't pick Jones is mostly because of DabolI. Not so much Jones. Daboll can scheme, game plan, and get the most out of Jones.
  14. I voted for Carr. He's getting older and has a lot of wear and tear on his body. Not mobile at all. He's just average at best.
  15. It's a QB driven league. Even back ups are making huge money. He did get RB Harris on the cheap though. Otherwise, you are spot on here.
  16. Maybe they were thinking about the Zeke deal in Dallas. His legs are special though. Daboll elevated his game for sure. I will say I almost fell out of my chair when I heard of the Jones deal. Giants were in a tough position by Damn Jones is average at best. Younger folks I hope your son can be a NFL QB. No need to play the lottery.
  17. I can't argue the facts they are what they are. He has been largely a no show come playoff time. You aren't wrong here. It kind of goes back to what are your expectations of players and the team. More specifically, the Bills team has been outstanding in the regular season, winning their division, making multiple playoff appearances, and advancing in the playoffs. Many many fans are thrilled with these results. View this as success. Advancing further is just more entertainment. Fast forward that same theme to Diggs. It's pretty applicable. Matter of how you see things.
  18. I here you. I'm a big Diggs fan for many reasons. I love the way he competes and certainly has been really good for the Bills. Yes, he hasn't produced cone playoff time. I think that's more on the Bills game planning, schemes, lack of WR weapons, and teams flat out doubling and taking Diggs out of the game. Sure blame some has to fall ob Diggs without a doubt. I'm just wondering what changes this year; so Diggs can be a weapon come playoff time? Another no show is unacceptable. That's a little harsh though. The guy falls somewhere in the vicinity of the top 10 WRs in the league.
  19. I do like Oliver. He is solid but lacks consistency. His contract does seem reasonable and The Bills clearly had little to nothing behind him. So the Oliver signing does make sense. I do like the Floyd and Ford pick ups along with moving on from Edmunds. However, I'm ultra focused on the offensive side of the ball. Perhaps to a flaw. Dhop certainly fits into my mindset of loading up on the offense.
  20. The whole Diggs situation is one I'm interested to see how it plays out. I'm not convinced that everything is squashed. I'm expecting some Diggs drama this season. Diggs certainly has a difficult time controlling his emotions. Hoping we don't see a Minn repeat but it wouldn't surprise me either. We've some red flags already. The coffee is brewing sort of speak. Super good insight here Gunner! Thanks.
  21. The Bills WR core after Diggs is a huge drop off. At this point, it's pretty clear what Davis and several of the other WRs are. The WR core likely doesn't instill much fear for opposing defenses. Allen will once again be the focal point. Likely he will be asked to do too much. The Bills definelty need another WR to step it up. Come playoff time you game bank on it the opposing team will double Diggs and take him out of the game. Some other WR will have to step up. Davis is no longer a secret and unlikely to be that guy. I'm sure others disagree here. Kincaid shows promise and potential but who knows. Same with others. As for me, the team had to make some difficult decisions. Cap restrictions certainly limited the teams moves. Beane was honest about that. None of the offensive moves in and of itself seem to be game changers except Kincaid. If Kincaid is that dynamic and the coaching staff can utilize his skill set then that's another story. Hopefully, he becomes a dynamic weapon for the Bills. If so, an already dangerous Allen becomes even better. Another huge key is the oline. The oline has to be much better in order for the Bills to compete with likes of KC and Cinci. Beane has absolutely tried to upgrade this area. Hopefully, it pans out. Thanks. Sure feels like the Bills could have gotten a deal done.
  22. The Bills made some difficult decisions. Signing Oliver certainly looked to seal the deal that Hopkins wasn't coming to Buffalo. Maybe I'm wrong here because I'm not good with the cap and money restrictions. If my premise is somewhat plausible, i'd rather have Dhop and traded Oliver for a mid draft pick or two. I think Dhop impacts the team more and gives the Bills a better chance to win. With Beane really concentrating on the offense, I'm surprised he couldn't or didn't get it done. I think opposing teams would have hated to see Dhop go to Buffalo. I doubt Oliver is putting any fear in opposing offenses. I doubt they are game planning for him. Dhop on the other hand certainly creates many issues for opposing defenses. I'm pretty sure it's not as simple as I'm stating. Lots of variables in play. I can't help but to feel a little let down in the decision not to create some cap room for DHop.
  23. Lol. Thanks for the love Mr. Chandler. I can always count on it like clockwork. 👍 That seems to be the conscious amoung many here. Maybe I'm more likely wrong here than right.
