  1. I didn't see it this way. I didn't see the offense being tight or super conservative. I saw them struggling to handle the Chief's pressure. The looked out of sync not right or passive to me. I think this is partly true but I think there's a sentiment that the Bills fizzle out in the playoffs. I heard on the radio guys saying they don't trust the Bills D in crunch time. Hard to argue with that when taking in the past.
  2. No but I will try to be a voice of reason. Hoping you can do the same.
  3. This is so true but I'd think it's far to say other teams and fans are saying similar things about the Bills. There is still a long way to the playoffs and it will be on the road. Just wanna get there. Never thought I'd be saying that. This season hasn't gone like I thought it would. Yes, the Bills are dangerous similar to the Chargers a couple of years ago who fell just short of the playoffs.
  4. I hear you and this is valid. However, I'm not even going here right now. For me, it was all about getting a win and keeping the playoffs hopes alive. Despite everything, this is a great win for the Bills. Truthfully, I didn't expect a win pre game or as it was playing out. Happy to be wrong. Bottom line is the team is still alive and has another huge game and challenge vs Dallas.
  5. I'm guessing that Chiefs made adjustments and took Cook out of the game sort of speak. Maybe I'm wrong here. I'm sure others can give a better explanation.
  6. Perhaps. I did feel like the Chiefs D was dictating and manhandling the Bills O in the second half. It seemed like the Bills O had little to counter the Chiefs adjustments. I saw Allen with his cape on that was the difference maker.
  7. I thought Brady's play calling in the first half was very good. Really innovative and new looking plays. That Cook TD was a great call. Cook running was also good. I thought they had a nice balance of running and passing. The second half was a completely different story. Not sure what happened but my eyes saw a Bills offense getting somewhat manhandled. Allen under constant duress, lack of balance, too many ineffective WR screens and short passes, no WR separation, etc ... Allen played Superman and it was just enough to pull out a W.
  8. It was definitely concerning. They will have to play better to beat the Cowboys. I'm interested to see what cover 22 shows.
  9. I can see it both ways here. The Bills certainly don't look like the dominant team of the past. However, they are dangerous and capable of going on a huge run. Hope it's not too late. I'm happy next week is a meaningful game. The AFC seems more wide open then ever.
  10. For sure. I was wondering from an Xs and Os standpoint what happened. The Bills O looked pretty good in the first half. Mixing up the run and pass. Making lots of plays. The oline held up pretty well. In the second half, Allen was under constant duress. The Bills seemed out of sync and in scramble mode. Cook seemed to disappear and I remember lots of WR screens that were ineffective. The Bills WRs were almost non existent. I would welcome input.
  11. No one in those right mind would advocate trading Allen. Nevertheless, there will always be subjectivity. This will always lead to controversy and mistakes. It's an imperfect system. I'm not sure more refs solves anything.
  12. Good defenses make stops to give their offense a chance at the end of games. That is a sign of a good and effective defense. Your expectations are way too low here. I want a defense who can make the big stop. Apparently, that's just a bonus to you... That's exactly why Von was brought to Buffalo. It's to close out games and prevent offenses from closing you out. Did you happen to see Von on the critical play?
  13. The Eagles are going to annihilate the Bills.
  14. I think he's starting to lose the locker room.
  15. Chargers look pretty good. Interesting to see if a 14 point deficit is too much to overcome for the Jets crappy offense.
  16. You expect your D to make at stop at the end of the game to give your offense a chance to win it. They failed to get the stop. Furst play of that critical drive the Bills D was gashed on a basic 30 yard screen pass. Von whiffed on a critical third down play. They had an opportunity to stop the Bengals. I expected the Bills defense wouldn't stop the Bengals when they had to. Like I said the offense sucked and most of the blame can go in that direction. So we are in agreement there. However, the defense has to make a stop to get the ball back to the offense to try to win the game.
  17. Partly true but not totally. Conveniently, you only talked about the second half. Can we talk about the first half? How do you think they did? They gave up 21 points and the Bengals matched up and down the field in the beginning of the game. The significance of this wasn't small. Their offense set the tone for the game. So yes the offense sucked and sucked badly with the exception of the first drive. However, let's not try to portray that the Bills defense is good. They are not and when it counted they looked like Swiss cheese at the end of the game. Let's paint accurate pictures here.
  18. I'm mean how many times are you going to bash Davis? Like a broken record dude. We get your point. You don't have to say it over and over and over. Give it a break Scott.
  19. Bingo! 100% on board with this!
  20. I'm not going to hold on to a false belief that this team is playoff worthy. They aren't. They are bad on both sides of the ball. Not sure how any fan can't see this. To think this team will go on a run is borderline crazy. There is no the lights are going to turn on here. The bulb is burned out. Believe what you see. This coaching staff is bad.
  21. To be honest, the Bills have problems on both sides of the ball. The defense at least has a legitimate excuse with injuries to their star players. Anyone who thinks this defense is solid or good is out of touch with reality. The offense on the other hand has zero excuses. Pretty much everyone is healthy except Knox. Their performance after the Miami game has been terrible. Another poster broke down the inefficiency. The offensive woes have to largely fall on coaching, play calling, schemes, and lack of talent. That's the short end of the story. In short, the team has gotten worse on both sides of the ball. The coaching is not good. It all equals mediocrity. Thus, 5-4 is an accurate picture of the team.
  22. Who is the defensive coordinator on the team? After the game, the media asked McD about why the offense quickly abandoned the quick pace offense. He responded "I don't know." Let that sink in.
  23. The answer isn't trading Allen. The answer is getting the coaches and players who can and will maximize his talents. The Bills don't have that in place. Wasted away in Buffalo not Margaritaville.
  24. Sadly, I agree that McD isn't going anywhere soon. I suspect we will be having a similar conversation next year when McD and the Bills fall woefully short again.
  25. It cuts both way here. Do you remember when the national media was overwhelmingly picking the Bills to win the Superbowl? I guess that was OK in your eyes. The slamming of the media here is humorous. I guess it's easy for some Bills fans to get into the victim role. The Bills simple don't deserve accolades or pity especially from the national media. They have earned the harsh criticisms.
