No 13 second meltdown for Staley.

It’s Dallas week and the Division is on the line!

Very tough game for sure. I believe the NFC is a lot better than the AFC too. The Cowboys are certainly battle tested this season. They still have a lot to play for. They should be ready on Sunday. Would love to see a letdown but truthfully it's unlikely. Dak can be bad at times. The Bills pass rush has to generate pressure. The big play and explosive Cowboy offense is a concern for this depleted Bills D. McD has really done a very good job with this Bills D. The injuries prevent this team from being dominant. Seems like the defense plays lights out in the first half and then not so good in the second half. A complete game would be a welcomed sight. I think we have to talk about both QBs. Arguably the biggest key to winning. Allen under Brady has been very good. Looking like the old Allen we know. No restrictions, dynamic, and elite. Dak is in the MVP conversation so that says a lot. What version of each QB do we get? Dak can get rattled and Allen can certainly turnover the ball. Really excited about this game. I really thought the Bills would lose in KC. Gladly, I was wrong. I do believe the Cowboys are the better team. Of course that won't be popular here. Nevertheless, I just have a gut feeling the Bills win. The fans, home field, the must win mentality, Allen, etc... On paper, the Cowboys are better than the Bills. The best team doesn't always win. Big home field advantage here and hopefully the Cowboys are a little off. Can you analyze the 7-6 Bills team? -
Staley makes McD look like a genius.
-
I've heard rumbles that Ben Johnson might be the guy for the Chargers.
-
Quitting on their coach perhaps. Certainly seem sloppy and unfocused.
-
Raiders looking good. Chargers not so much. Brandon Staley is so bad. Spanos might not fire him. He's so cheap he might not want to pay his salary.

You don't think Brown can handle him? Brown is quietly having an all pro like season. -

I might add that the Bills coaching staff might not be at a disadvantage either. McCarthy isn't a coach who scares me. Dan Quinn looks to be pretty solid on D though. Point being there may be a lesser chance for McD to screw the pooch. -

You had me until you said " it may not be as difficult as we think." When have the Bills last won an easy game? Or when is the last Bills win that hasn't been difficult? Been a long long time. The Cowboys are rolling and a very good team. To imply this game might not be difficult seems to be a stretch to put it kindly. Disagree here. Would you rather play the Cowboys on Sunday or Carolina? -

I've been scoping prices and the way the venders operate. Come game time it seems like the big boys like Vivid, Ticket Master, Tick pic, etc...do not lower their prices. Surprised to find that out. I go to Clipper games and frequently use the Game time app. Every once in awhile you can find a deal if you check daily. Mind you a Clipper ticket isn't like purchasing a football ticket. So far, I have seen much positive movement for the Bills Chargers game. I snagged VIP Clipper tickets for $25 and tonight I'm 2 rows behind the Clipper bench for $60 each. Got really lucky. Hoping I can jump on a Bills Charger tickets cheap. -

For me this is way too premature. I'm just looking forward to the Dallas game taking it one game at a time. Maybe, I'm just not smart enough to think further ahead. -

Excellent and realistic post. It will not be popular here. It's pretty hard to disagree with your logic here. Point by point I hit the checkmark symbol. However, you are being generous on the 50-50 make the playoffs comment. It's actually closer to 40% right now. Just ignore all the numbers that aren't positive. It's way more fun the other way. But hey, stop peeing on the optimism here. You will find yourself in deep ... As for me, I'm just taking a one game at a time mentality. Trying not to focus past that. The Bills play very well at home and Dallas isn't great on the road. I'm hoping Dallas has a letdown. I can totally see it. They aren't in must win mode like Buffalo. This will be a dogfight of a game but the Bills can definitely win it. Just a little concerned about how the Bills offense played in the second half of the Chiefs game. Almost looked Dorsey like. I don't trust the depleted defense or McD come crunch time. I think Allen can play super man once again and make spectacular plays. Lots of unknowns here. A known is I'll be extremely disappointed and deflated if the Bills lose. Just as we see a glimmer of hope; I hope it doesn't get ripped away on Sunday. It's good to be back! Go Bills!!! -
Despite the win, I wish the Bills would make a change. I know it's not going to happen. Now, really isn't the time for this discussion in the middle of a highly contested playoff battle. Let's focus on the Cowboys who looked like world beaters last night. Curious if either team has a letdown? Seems more likely the Cowboys do than the semi desperate Bills team at home. Bills are very good on the road and the Cowboys away aren't the same team as home. Setting up to be an epic battle that the whole football community will be likely watching. Exciting stuff...A Bills win would definitely up my confidence.

I didn't think the Bills would win. I was Xing those responses that iterated a Bills win. It's all I could do to display that i thought the Bills would lose. I was obviously wrong and so happy about that. Bills playoff hopes are still alive and another meaningful game ahead.
-
I have just come back and really haven't been negative whatsoever. You couldn't wait to attack I see. That's fine because I'm not here to fight and I'm still high after the Bills win.
-
I didn't see it this way. I didn't see the offense being tight or super conservative. I saw them struggling to handle the Chief's pressure. The looked out of sync not right or passive to me. I think this is partly true but I think there's a sentiment that the Bills fizzle out in the playoffs. I heard on the radio guys saying they don't trust the Bills D in crunch time. Hard to argue with that when taking in the past.
-
No but I will try to be a voice of reason. Hoping you can do the same.
-
This is so true but I'd think it's far to say other teams and fans are saying similar things about the Bills. There is still a long way to the playoffs and it will be on the road. Just wanna get there. Never thought I'd be saying that. This season hasn't gone like I thought it would. Yes, the Bills are dangerous similar to the Chargers a couple of years ago who fell just short of the playoffs.
-
I hear you and this is valid. However, I'm not even going here right now. For me, it was all about getting a win and keeping the playoffs hopes alive. Despite everything, this is a great win for the Bills. Truthfully, I didn't expect a win pre game or as it was playing out. Happy to be wrong. Bottom line is the team is still alive and has another huge game and challenge vs Dallas.

Was their pass rush great? Or did our protection break down today?

I'm guessing that Chiefs made adjustments and took Cook out of the game sort of speak. Maybe I'm wrong here. I'm sure others can give a better explanation. -
Perhaps. I did feel like the Chiefs D was dictating and manhandling the Bills O in the second half. It seemed like the Bills O had little to counter the Chiefs adjustments. I saw Allen with his cape on that was the difference maker.

I thought Brady's play calling in the first half was very good. Really innovative and new looking plays. That Cook TD was a great call. Cook running was also good. I thought they had a nice balance of running and passing. The second half was a completely different story. Not sure what happened but my eyes saw a Bills offense getting somewhat manhandled. Allen under constant duress, lack of balance, too many ineffective WR screens and short passes, no WR separation, etc ... Allen played Superman and it was just enough to pull out a W. -

It was definitely concerning. They will have to play better to beat the Cowboys. I'm interested to see what cover 22 shows. -
I can see it both ways here. The Bills certainly don't look like the dominant team of the past. However, they are dangerous and capable of going on a huge run. Hope it's not too late. I'm happy next week is a meaningful game. The AFC seems more wide open then ever.
