  1. I'll believe that last when I see it. The bit about "human psychology being very predictable" is likely to prove ironic. You can believe I'm not being honest if you choose. Why would you think I care what you believe? You're attaching outsize importance to yourself here, though; why would I go around looking for "opportunities to correct you"? Bit egocentric, woudn't you think? IMO, a "blow up" during training camp is different than a private meeting in a coach's office before the start of minicamp, so to me, if there were a training camp blowup I missed or had forgotten about, that would be a significant difference. YMMV, whatev's Either way, it's pretty clear by all accounts that tension between Josh and Diggs dated to the previous season and preceded the Bengals playoff loss where he was publicly observed gesticulating and yelling at Allen while Allen ignored him. The hope at this time last season was that any issues between Allen and Diggs had been resolved or at least patched up effectively. The results early in the season bore this out: the Bills were 4-2 and Diggs had >100 yds receiving in 5 of those 6 games and was 7 of 7 in the 6th. People who say "Oh, everyone should have known there was Big Trouble and Irreconcilable Differences after that private meeting at the start of minicamp" or who claims they believed it all along (including during the first 6 games) are exercising revisionist history at its finest.
  2. And this is going to be this year's big question: do we have receivers who can get off the line vs. press coverage?
  3. They shook at the end. Just to make a point that this is what Timmah Graham and company are saying there ought to be more of from Allen: getting in guys faces when they make a mistake, calling them out, not being "one of the guys".
  4. I think there's a 40% chance that TheThighDoctor is full of baloney. It's not that I don't think there's a chance Milano never gets back to who he was before the injury. There is. But there are just not enough data to put a reasonable % on it. Moreover, did we see Von Miller on the field during training camp last pre-season? No, Esmerelda, we did not. We see flashes from Milano, and other plays where he isn't quite himself. He's playing himself into shape right now. So he's already well ahead of where Von Miller was last season. The Bills have already said they'll be watching Milano's reps, so I'm sure you will see Williams with some 1st team reps
  5. Photos of what that means:
  6. Some coverage on what happened with each of Josh's Friday picks
  7. Over/under on how many Catan Expansion Packs get mailed to Dawson Knox c/o Bills at St John Fisher? Interesting strategy by Josh Allen. For those who don't know: https://www.catan.com/understand-catan/how-do-i-learn-catan
  8. That would kind of reinforce that we're looking at Rapp and a rotation of Hamlin, Edwards, Bishop as our safeties Now this is interesting. Wasn't it "Johnson" with the 1st teamers initially?
  9. I mostly choose to ignore you. If that's living with my head in the sand, I'm OK with that. I just wanted to clarify what you were talking about. Myself, I think the blow-up happened sometime during the 2022 season and the rest was just symptoms or attempts at repair, but that's just me. By training camp last year, the strong narrative was "nothing to see here, All Good!"
  10. OK, I'm calling the question on you. Let's leave out the 90% and just Do You. Here is the current roster. Predict the 53 man roster. Go. To put a little spice in the mix, I will donate $10 to Oishei Children's Hospital for every cut you predict incorrectly. According to you, I only have about $30 at risk. Personally, at this point, I don't believe the Bills coaches and FO can predict 50 out of the 53 man roster. I would say about 39-40 are locks, and the last 13-14 there is still genuine competition
  11. Yeah some quotes from the story: First of all, I doubt anyone criticized Allen for "not acting more enobled" Enobled? Really? What's he supposed to do, demand that the players kneel and swear fealty? Tell them to sit below the salt? Tithe part of their salary to him? "Implored" wasn't the only poor choice of words Recognizing that he's viewed differently by players, sure, and that this gives him more authority in their eyes to say "YOU! SHUT UP! Shut up and catch the ball!", sure. Asking him to perhaps be less of a people pleaser, sure. But "not acting more ennobled"? That's just a weird choice of language. Second, since Allen has played at a very high level for 3 years without an "executive demeanor", why would lacking one cause him to have "rutty play" in 2023? And what the heck is "rutty play"? Graham's article makes no sense. It also, in mourning all the departed leadership in the form of captaincy, Tim Graham does not make note of the fact that two of the remaining players, Dion Dawkins and Reid Ferguson, were captains for the Bills in 2019 and 2020, back when the Bills had 6 or 7 captains and not 8 or 9. That's probably one reason why Dawkins is quoted as saying Long winded way to say @syhuang I agree, not good journalism.
  12. So the "blow up" was him missing the first day, having a meeting with McDermott and others, and either leaving or being told to leave, the building?
  13. Education please: what training camp blow-up was this? I remember Diggs missing the first day of mandatory minicampOTAs and McDermott saying he's very concerned. I don't remember a training camp blow up, or any on-field blow up, at all.
  14. You first, Buddy. I'm not the one here pronouncing "Milano is obviously struggling. Not pushing off on injured leg. Coming back from very serious injury. He may never be the same". We all know a tibial plateau fracture (if that's what Milano had) is a serious injury. Since you're the one making a physical evaluation and stating an opinion and one possible outcome (while implying it's more probable with your "take off your rose colored glasses schtick), seems to me you should state the credentials behind this opinion of yours. I provided a link to an assessment by Kyle Trimble, a PhD physical therapist, whose take is decidedly more positive We also know that the sports medicine physicians and therapists treating him believe he can come back. He hasn't played football in ~10 months, if the posited injury is the correct one he likely spent considerable time non-weight-bearing on his R leg, and he had to ramp up his strengthening gradually. Having him out there at the start of camp is fantastic, and this is not a Von Miller situation where he's talking about being ready for the start of the season but we don't see him out there. We see him out there and he looks great at times and at other times he shows there is still progress to be made, as expected for a guy coming back from injury at the start of training camp.
  15. Sir, what are your medical credentials if we may ask? For those interested, PT Dr Kyle Trimble put together a bunch of clips and his analysis: https://bangedupbills.com/2024/07/27/buffalo-bills-training-camp-injury-review-week-1-2/ He assesses a couple other injuries as well.
  16. Dear Iron Maiden Bills > Araiza Curse > Milano's Milano, Your posting quality is consistent across name changes
  17. last season, the injury was his throwing shoulder 2023 was the torn UCL in his throwing elbow
  18. That's not the kind of guy Allen is, to either of those suggestions
  19. MVS has a track record of coming through in the big games Claypool has a track record of being a locker room cancer on two different teams
  20. Nit, but blood is never going to flow out of any body part via an artery. At least not while there's a beating heart moving it along.
  21. from yesterday, but deserves to be seen: Bobby Babich pre camp: The pretty clear implication there is we may not see Matt Milano being Matt Milano right out of the gate at the start of the season
  22. I think that's a reasonable take. I could point out a few more incidents, but Why? The guy's gone now. Another couple takes, where you ask "why would he say that if there wasn't someone else behaving differently?" -last year OTAs, Allen kept talking about Sherfield and saying "He does whatever is asked of him. He never complains." He said that repeatedly thru minicamp and OTAs. There's possibly a bit of unsaid there as in "in contrast to ......who does complain when certain things are asked of him" https://www.buffalobills.com/video/josh-allen-acting-chops-chemistry-with-the-offense-the-alpha-dog-wrs -In this Bills interview, 10:36 in, Allen and the interview duo are talking about TE and specifically Dalton Kincaid. He talks about his catch radius, his athleticism. But he emphasizes "he does things the right way" He also mentions Khalil Shakir "I love talking about how they play the game". Then he mentions Kincaid's extra-effort blocking which enabled a couple TDs including Josh vs. Pittsburgh in the playoff "he plays the game the right way, and it's so refreshing" Again, there's possiby a bit of unsaid there "as opposed to..... (who was maybe not refreshing in some aspects) I think it's notable that the two players who spoke out for Diggs publicly about him being a good teammate, Rasul Douglas and Dion Dawkins, are not offensive skill players who were depending on Diggs to run clearing routes or block for them downfield at times, and who weren't in skill position meeting rooms with Diggs week in and week out.
