I think he ordered the pizza during his college football practice. That's why he got low marks on "character" by some teams going into the draft. I remember Marv saying Eric Moulds was the best college kick returner he has ever seen. I guess talent overruled character on that pick.

Funny no one complains when the Patriots sign lower-tier free agents. How does any writer (Lenny Mort) know for a FACT that they could have got Whitner if they traded down. No one knows that for sure. No one. And why do these writers think Marv managed the entire draft by himself? Was Marv the only one in the draft room? Because he singled Buffalo out as picking guys who were not "rated" high enough to warrant the pick. I didn't hear him say a thing when Dallas picked Bobby Carpenter in the 1st when no one had him going in the first round. He singled Buffalo out and kept going back to it over and over again. This draft wasn't about Marv picking his guys, it was about Marv trusting his assistants and scouting department. This is not a one man show.

Spoon had talent, but he kept getting hurt. Have you ever worked with someone who had talent and NO character? I have so I understand exactly what Marv is doing. I rather have a team with GREAT character and GOOD talent than a team with GREAT talent and LOW character. Guys with great character can be molded and play as a team whereas guys with low character look out for number 1.

Yes, nice to see someone with their own opinion. What other "experts" seem to forget is that all we see is a player's production. We've never met these guys and more than likely never heard them speak. When Marv and co. did their interviews and they didn't care for a guys personality or character they were not going to draft him, regardless of his talent. One bad apple.......

Mort was absolutely ridiculous. I thought he was going to flip out trying to make his point to Kiper that the Bills reached at 8 and 26. Then this morning he picks the Bills pick of McCargo as his "headscratcher." It's obvious which one of the Tom's Mort is buddies with. It's a shame.
