  1. Steve Wyche has him going #12 to Denver: NFL Network Mock I also read somewhere that Gil Brandt says he is a lock to go top 10. How does this effect the Bills, if at all? Could they be looking at him at #11? Why just because he is a big DE, is he destined to be in a 3-4?
  2. Here's 2 guys I think would fit perfectly into the Bill's defensive scheme, and you could possibly get them in the 3rd and 4th round, leaving round 1 and 2 to fill needs at TE, OL, or OLB. Brandon Williams (DE) Height: 6'5" Weight: 252 College: Texas Tech Overview Big 12 opponents fully appreciated the impact Williams had on the Red Raiders' in 2008, even if others paid more attention to the high-flying offense. After all, Williams led the conference with 13 sacks, earning first-team All-Big 12 accolades as a junior, and leaves Tech ranked fourth in school history with 22.5 career sacks. Williams is strictly a speed rusher, as he lacks the bulk and strength to provide much in the running game. Teams are always looking for pass rushers and this fact could make Williams a top-100 selection come April, but another year at Texas Tech to get stronger would have been beneficial. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________ Lawrence Sidbury, Jr. (DE) Height: 6'3" Weight: 266 College: Richmond Overview Sidbury, who the coaching staff at Richmond called the team's best athlete, excelled as the premier pass rusher in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision. He was a valuable track and field performer, competing in the throws and the 100-meter dash. An Honor Roll student, Sidbury led the team to the national championship in 2008, the first title won by any sports program at Richmond. No one could've scripted a better end to his college career. Facing one of the most dominating teams of the last decade, he led a spirited defense that held Montana to 34 yards rushing -- its lowest output in more than two seasons. Sidbury almost won that championship game by himself, accounting for four sacks to lead the Spiders to a 24-7 victory and the FCS title. Sidbury earned All-State, All-Metro, All-County and All-League as a senior at Oxon Hill High School, serving as team captain his final two seasons. The three-year starter was a member of the Washington, D.C. Golden 11 team and played in the Prince Georges County All-Star Game. He also lettered in track, winning the county title and finished second at the state finals in the shot put. He received academic accolades and was an Honor Roll student as part of the Science and Vo-Tech program. In 2004, Sidbury appeared briefly in the season opener vs. North Carolina State before sitting out the rest of the Richmond schedule, retaining freshman eligibility. He appeared in 13 games in 2006, earning on start at left defensive end, helping the team rank fourth in the Atlantic Ten Conference in total defense. He finished that year with 24 tackles (12 solos), three sacks and four stops for losses. As a sophomore, Sidbury played in nine games for the Spiders, collecting 17 tackles (11 solos) that included 5.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage. He also lettered on the outdoor track team, posting a season-best 41-feet 4 1/2-inch-toss in the shot put. Sidbury moved into the starting lineup at left defensive end as a junior. He earned All-Colonial Athletic Association and All-State first-team honors. He totaled 48 tackles (22 solo) that included five sacks, making 8.5 stops for loss. He again competed on the school's track team, clocking a season-best 12.07 in the 100 meters at the Atlantic Ten Conference Championship. As a senior, Sidbury was again an All-CAA first-team choice, as he was also named an All-American first-team choice. He registered 11.5 sacks, the third-highest season total by a Spider, as he collected a career-high 56 tackles (26 solos), along with 20 stops behind the line of scrimmage. He also caused three fumbles and recovered another, helping the team rank 12th in the nation vs. the rush, allowing only 94.0 yards per game.
  3. It's been about 10 years since I went to a game. Does the field house cost anything? When can you go in? Quite a few people suggested club seats - which color on the chart would be the best for your money - it looks like they cost about $36.00 to $48.00/ticket? Club Level Family Corner - is that the only area that is the family section? I will likely go in September or October, and hopefully pick an "easier" game where we have a chance. Not too worried about him hearing profanity - he usually laughs at that, even though I don't swear around him. I still remember my first game - I was about 11 and it is the best memory I have of me and my dad. Thanks for all your help.
  4. I am taking my 9 year old son to his first game this year, for his birthday. Where are the best seats? http://www.buffalobills.com/tickets/stadiu...ting-chart.html
  5. What about Rey Mualuga?
  6. I don't even know if the Bills are interested, but this guy next to Stroud, would be awesome. I haven't seen that anyone signed him. http://www.nfl.com/players/rockybernard/profile?id=BER235952
  7. Any idea why Kendall Simmons was cut? I think he is the guy who has been battling diabetes.
  8. Who cares? I'm glad the Bills didn't mortgage the future for him.
  9. Did not know that. That changes things a little bit. Should be a little easier to retain as a B/U.
  10. I'm just worried that they haven't signed him by now.
  11. I saw on another site that Kirk is a free agent this Friday. Is that true? If so, we need to sign him long-term. Who are all the Bills free agents?
  12. I forgot all about him. He would be a good fit. When Cowher left Pittsburgh, I remember reading that he thought one of his guys would NOT be a good replacement. I can't remember if it was Grimm or Wisenhunt.
  13. They know how to win - run the ball, play tough D, don't turn the ball over, and play good special teams.
  14. I never heard of him until yesterday, and I was really impressed with Carolina's offense. I thought Tampa had a great defense but the Panthers had them off balance all night: Jeff Davidson
  15. Well, an update. I asked my 9 year old what he wants for XMAS and he said "a Trent Edwards jersey." I said, "he's been really sucking it up lately. Are you sure you want his jersey?" He said, "Dad, he's a Buffalo Bill, and he might be a superstar in 2 years." Maybe he is right?
  16. No, I wasn't comparing Tren't skills to Favre. I was however, comparing the situations Favre played through. When he had 3 picks in a game he wouldn't then do dump offs the rest of the game. He kept slinging. Was that his personality or the coach telling him to do it? I don't know. Did Jauron or Turk put it in Trent's head to dump off and not risk the pick? Did they make him gun shy? I don't know. Maybe blaming Jauron to an extent is my last excuse for Trent. I really want this kid to succeed.
  17. My kids. Being a Bills fan, they are growing up Bills fans. I feel bad for them. I grew up with the great Kelly years. They are growing up with the ........... Edwards years (maybe). I was so confident in Edwards in the first 4 games, I bought my son an Edwards jersey for XMAS. I waited until after the San Diego game because I wanted to be "sure" he was the next great one. Am I wrong? Will a dominating win over the 1 win KC team change things? I am having some doubts in Edwards, like everyone else, but is it all him? Jauron is notorious for being conservative. When Trent threw the picks, did he even talk to Edwards? In Green Bay, when Brett would throw a pick, Holmgren would get in his grill and tell him to keep slinging it. That is what is needed. I have my doubts about Edwards, and I don't know if he will be great, but I know Jaurun sucks and his concervative style sucks. I hope NFL Shop has a good return policy.

  19. Now they are saying the positioners are NOT good. Before they were but now they say kids can move around in them and get their head between them. Now, according to the last article I read, you should put your baby on his/her back without anything else in the crib.
  20. Players or coaches he played against probably did say that. BUT, the one team that probably said it, IS the team that traded him. Do you think Del Rio gave him props? I don't think so.
  21. I hope the fins try it against the Bills. I would put Poz and Whitner on him and at the snap of the ball, slam him into the turf.
  22. I think he gets traded to the Bears, since they did not pick up a QB in the draft.
  23. I had planned on watching NFL Network exclusively, but it seemed very boring to me. Too much Faulk and guys who only know the big names. Not enough Mayock. So I switched to ESPN, but they too only talked about the big names, and top 8 picks. ESPN seems to have a new darling team, and that is the Dallas Cowboys, who they talked about every 5 minutes. I also noticed what seemed to be a riff between Berman and Mort, because on at least 2 occassions, Berman said something sarcastic, and Mort took it as "Berman doesn't know what he is talking about" and he tried to correct him, and Berman snapped back and said "I understand that!!!" Anyway, I'd rather have a show with Kiper, Mayock, and McShay - at least they are entertaining. For the draft: 1. Leodis McElvin - I wasn't crazy about it at first, but we need more good defensive backs if we are going to stop Moss and every other big WR in the leage. Plus he gives us our own Devin Hester. I originally wanted Devin Thomas, but after seeing him on TV Saturday (I'm positive he was only featured because everyone thought he was going 11) I started having second thoughts - Just something about him that I don't like. 2. James Hardy - awesome to have a 6' 6" WR to throw to. What CB in the league could cover him? 3. Chris Ellis - he is arrogant, but so was Bruce Smith. This defense needs some attitude. 4. Derek Fine - one Bills scout called him the most complete TE in the draft - good enough for me. I only know about these guys from reading mags and searching the web, so why would I know any better? 4. Reggie Corner - a cornerback with the last name corner - how could you go wrong? We need more defensive backs. 5. Alvin Bowen - Lombardi on NFL Network said he was an awesome pick and perfect for what our D does. 6. Xavier Omon - can this guy play FB? 7. Demetrius Bell - athletic project OT. The next Jason Peters? 7. Steve Johnson - Could be the surprise of the draft. I have a good feeling about him.
  24. The first pick is going to be a DE. We need a pass rush. It will be Merling or Harvey, and both are worthy of the 11 pick, no matter who you talk to. Merling, before his injury, was expected to go 8 - 12. The guy is a beast and would be awesome paired with Stroud and McCargo/Johnson. Our DEs are small and need a rotation to be effective. Denney and Kelsay are nothing special. If we don't get a DE, the opposition will just stop Stroud and ignore our ends. A pass rush will help the secondary. Then the Bills will trade back into the 1st or at least up in the 2nd to take a WR, which my guess will be James Hardy, because I think Thomas, Sweed, and Kelly will be gone. They will pick up another CB later in the draft and find a FB, TE, and a backup LB in the later rounds.
