  1. Any chance this will be on NFL Replay? Was it a good game or just two crappy teams going at it? Kyle Moore have a sack? How about Mario?
  2. Anyone have any sacks in this game? Cancelled my NFL Sunday Ticket awhile ago and cable not broadcasting game.
  3. I bet she could get better penetration than our D.
  4. At least we witnessed Jesse Ventura's first game as announcer.
  5. So what is the rumor? I didn't see it in the article. I read it twice. Must have missed it.
  6. Think Rome will call Mario......Venus?
  7. This also doesn't seem right....years ago I bought a DirecTv system from Walmart. It was an RCA. Then a few years ago DirecTv says I need an updated receiver to watch NFL Sunday ticket. They sent me a new one. I don't pay a monthly fee. Shouldn't that be my receiver, since they made my other one unusable? I guess not....they are asking me to send it back. I don't have a real issue with that, but if I decide to go back to DirecTv, I will have to Purchase that same receiver for $50 or $100 or whatever it is.
  8. I told them I want to cancel. They asked why and I said my cable company now offers digital television and HD channels and Tivo DVR, and when I looked at going DirecTv, I wasn't eligible for any of the deals that NEW customers get. I told them I NEVER had any deal given to me and NO free installation or FREE DVR. They basically said "thanks for being a customer, but all we can give you is $50 toward equipment." I must not be very persuasive.
  9. Thanks. I talked to a customer service rep.....then when I told him I wanted to cancel, he said, "ok, I am going to transfer you to our customer retention department". She listened and said, "hold on, let me see what I can do." Got back on and offered me $50 off 1 receiver. I told them DirecTv never gave me anything free.....I bought my equipment years ago at Walmart and installed it myself, and all you can give me is $50 off? She said that is all she could do. I'm hoping I get a "WE WANT YOU BACK" offer. Thanks everyone for your help.
  10. I called them....probably should have waited for Fezmid....talked to 3 different people....best they would give me was $50 off one receiver. I told them I needed 4 receivers, and one would be the DVR, so I would spend $450 out of pocket. They didn't care so I cancelled the service. Probably no way for my wife to call and get the NEW CUSTOMER deal is there....does it go by address/name or phone number?
  11. Thanks. I asked him a ? years ago and he was helpful.
  12. Finally did get it working, but now after realizing I cannot "time" my VCR to record a certain channel (you have to have the channel on the channel you want to record) and watch something else, we need to consider getting a Tivo or DVR for the cable or drop the cable and go all out with DirecTV. I checked DirecTv and I would like it to work, but I think cable is still going to be cheaper. How do I get a hold of Fezmid to see if he knows anyway for me to get a deal? I'm thinking of cancelling my SUSPENDED account and see if I get a "we want you back offer", but that would only get me good pricing for 2 years.....it would go up to about $70 just for the package (not including the dvr and receivers).....that is what scares me the most with DirecTv. Fezmid, can you help?
  13. Well, looks like I am giving DTV a call. Cable company's digital channel lineup is a flop......I hooked it up and it has been searching for channels for 3 hours. Called and the guy said they are connecting each box individually in our town, and that he would "send the signal" to my box...."should take about an hour".....it's been 3 hours and waiting...........
  14. Nope, tried customer retention. They said "once a customer, always a customer, so no special deals." I actually cancelled it last year, then the next day my wife made the deal with them, and the next day I got a letter from DTV saying "WE WANT YOU BACK" and the offer on the letter was the same they were giving new customers.....I'm just not sure I want to get locked in for 2 years. I'd have to get the CHOICE package (cheapest one with NFL Network), which is $64 regular price, plus 1 dvr receiver, and 3 regular receivers. So, wouldn't that be $64 + $5 (or is it $15 for the DVR) + $15 ($5 for each additional receiver)for a grand total of $84 (or $94 if it is $15 for the DVR). We're paying about $60 right now for cable.
  15. I'll think about DTV. If they would give me one of those deals like they give new customers I would....I've never had any of those deals. Do you know if there is a way to use a splitter to split the digital cable coming into my home? I mean would a digital splitter work? If not, I'd have to get 4 cable boxes for all the tvs in our house. Does DTV have anything like Hopper? A friend at work was saying Dish has Hopper and you only have to have 1 receiver for up to 6 tvs?!?!?
  16. I installed the DTV myself. I bought it at Walmart YEARS ago when they first came out with it. I had the Sunday Ticket and nothing else. They never offered me a package with a deal for a year like they do now. Last year I cancelled it to save money and then my wife fealt bad for me and called them back up and came up with this deal since my grandfather clause was void when I cancelled it. The outage problems is because of storms. Anytime we get a storm it is out, guaranteed.
  17. I've had Sunday Ticket all these years and the Bills sucked. Now I might drop it so they will be great.
  18. Small town in pa. Not exactly a revolt, but they had town meetings demanding answers.....the cable company made lots of promises and failed to deliver. In one week everyone had to go to their local office and get one of 4 adapters or receivers. I think I am going to just cancel my directv. Maybe if its offered, I'll get the internet option, since my tv has that plugin.....hopefully the Bills play at opposite times as the Steelers so they are on my cable.
  19. I don't think I have a 2 year contract. I think I am just going to cancel that subscription and tell them it is because of poor reception, and maybe they will offer me the internet option. My TV does have the PC input....never thought I would have a use for it until now.
  20. Yes, it took a city revolt to do it too.
  21. The cable company has a Tivo DVR option, that we might go with. It costs $15.00 a month to lease. If I drop the DirecTv, what are my options for watching Bills games from home? I am extremely busy with my kids activities and I can't keep up with the technology or new products anymore. Dropping DirecTv and going with a Tivo DVR would be nice, IF I could watch the Bills games pretty cheaply. Right now, I get a minimal DirecTv package and add on Sunday Ticket....my wife made the deal with them...we end up getting the package and the Sunday Ticket for the same price as just the Sunday Ticket. Then after the football season, I SUSPEND my account, and then will activate it again when football season starts.
  22. My cable company is adding HD Definition format of channels on Monday and I want to have a plan for set-up, ahead of time. They now require us to add at a minimum an HD Digital Adaptor. Here is what I need to hook up: I have a Sony Bravia......it has 2 HDMI input. A cable/antenna input. Component Audio ® and Mono (L) inputs. PB, PB and Y (Video In). I have a Cisco DTA 170HD Digital Transport Adaptor.......it has a Cable In input and a To TV output. It also has an HDMI slot. I have a Panasonic VCR with the normal cable in- cable out. It has the Red, White, Yellow inputs and outputs. I also have a DirecTv HD receiver.....it has the Red, White, Yellow outputs and an HDMI slot. I only use this for Sunday Ticket...my normal programming is cable. I may switch full time at some time but the storms knock it out all the time. Lastly, I have a surge protector that I run the cable into......then out to the VCR. I don't know if this will work with the new programming. I was planning on hooking it up like this: Should I first run the cable/antenna into the surge protector, then have the cable/antenna out from the surge protector go into the Cable In input on the HD Adapter. Plug the DirecTv into the HDMI of the TV. Also, have the R, W, and Y (video) go from the DirecTv to the input of the VCR so I could record football games. Plug the HD Adapter to the TV by using the HDMI connection. Plug the cable antenna into the HD Adapter In and have the To TV (out) go to the VCR antenna in. Then should I plug the R, W, Y (video) out on the VCR to the component in (R, W, Green ((hybrid))) in the TV or should I run the cable/antenna out on the VCR to the cable/antenna in on the TV.......or should I do both? I want to be able to record the HD programming, even if it isn't in HD, but I want to be able to watch HD programming live on my TV...will this set-up screw that up? Any help would be appreciated. If this is in the wrong forum, please advise.
  23. Is this a free online game? Where did you get it? Also, how did you get a picture of yourself at the Ralph while it was empty?
  24. I downloaded this for my son, but I have to admit, I am addicted to it....the only problem is I don't have a lot of time to play it. It is an awesome online tank fighting experience.
  25. Since the Bills were in a 3-4 last year, and now in a 4-3, do they have any OLB they could trade to Baltimore? Baltimore does run a 3-4, right?
