  1. Tell you what...if the Reds didn't get Volquez in that trade, this city may have imploded by now...especially tonight
  2. So is there any widely distributed AMERICAN beer left or do I have to turn my drinking problem on to Kentucky bourbon permanently?
  3. I should be booking my flight for Jacksonville by the end of the week. Sadly, that'll probably be the only game I attend this year, after having season tickets for the last 4.
  4. I absolutely expect deployment if I do sign up...but, I haven't made a decision yet.
  5. I've been thinking about joining the National Guard or Reserves to help with my student loans and to help finish up with school...plus, nothing like a no-nonsense excuse to get in shape.
  6. my company is printing the t-shirts for his concert...lets just say the artwork (designed by Ringo) looks like a 5 year old made it
  7. I agree, Grant is a really nice guy. I was re-reading old PMs last night and found one where he contacted me because he thought that I was insulting him with a comment that I had made in a post. I quickly replied, telling him that the phrase that I used certainly wasn't intended for him and that I was sorry, to which he replied that HE was concerned about insulting someone and that it had been a pleasure talking to me. Absolutely blows my mind, especially with the anonymity of the internet, that someone can still be "wholesome". Get well Grant...the season is getting closer and we're going to need some good guys back here to balance out all the !@#$s.
  8. I just had a super heated argument with a Browns fan as to why the Bills and Buffalo are better than the Browns and Cleveland... The only thing that he had, which he kept coming back to, is that I'm not a native of Buffalo, and he's a native of Cleveland. Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if he cries himself to sleep after the lashing and almost play-by-play analysis of the Raven's Super Bowl victory that I provided for him. GO BILLS!
  9. I live in Cincinnati and I'm sitting on an indoor shitter as I type this message
  10. Glad you posted that - saw this kid during the Cincinnati-Louisville game last year and wondered wtf was going on with the guy pushing a kid in a wheelchair during the halftime performance. Impressive...
  11. Cincinnati has a pro hockey championship in 2008 and Pittsburgh doesn't. Theres always next year, chumps...
  12. First $1,000+ order is in since the website went live...hopefully, word of mouth will continue and I can make this happen. Ideally, would love to work for myself within the next 3-5 years.
  13. I submitted: On TV. Six Pack. Cheaper. Better.
  14. The john at one of my favorite bars has had "Tom Waits for no man" written on the wall for years...i chuckle every time... Not as good as "Please stop throwing toothpicks in the toilet, the crabs have learned to pole vault" (which is written on another wall), but still quality.
  15. I was at the game, but as a resident of Cincinnati (and the roommate of a Bengals season ticket holder), I just got a HUGE smile on my face again... 2:12 to play in the game...Bills up 33-21. As the Bengals offense takes the field, "Welcome to the Jungle" is played over the stadium speakers... BEAUTIFUL!
  16. Congrats - after 4 seasons WITH tickets, I passed on mine this year. It isn't about my disgust for the team or anything like that, it was just getting too expensive. The tickets (I've had Rockpile seats) were cheap, but it was getting too expensive to make the ~800 mile round trip (gas, hotel, food, etc.). I hope to renew again someday when I'm a little better off financially, but I'm still trying to plant some roots somewhere and have other expenses that have become a priority. On the flip side, I AM now a University of Cincinnati football season ticket holder - I live less than 5 miles from the stadium, so I'll at least get some live football in this year. Still planning on making it up to Orchard Park for 1 game, and perhaps going to the Jacksonville game on Sept. 14.
  17. Yeah, FireFox seemed fine - i checked in IE, and there was definitely a color matching problem - for the short term, I just got rid of the buttons at the top...
  18. Not sure exactly what you mean - what browser are you using? Any way you can do a "print screen" and email me?
  19. Thanks for the info folks - I'll be working on optimizing the site soon, especially with Matty's advice. Cincy - no worries, not a conflict of interests. My employer sells to distributors, which Axis is. Axis sells directly to the end user. Orders are being filtered through a 3rd person within the company, so there won't be any chance of "cooking the books"
  20. I know that some of you guys are pretty net saavy, are business owners, and frankly, shoot straight when giving opinions, so I wanted to get your input on a business venture that I'm working on. I already work in the promotional products industry, so I figured that since my foot is already in the door and I have some great connections, I might as well make some extra money. Check it out at: http://www.axispromos.com In case you're wondering before you click, its a decorated apparel (screen print, embroidery, etc.) distributor - we are basically the "middle man" between the end user and the company that I currently work for, which is a large scale decorator.
  21. I saw something on another board that made a great point... In the beginning of the episode, we saw a shirtless Jack getting out of bed. Anone notice that he didn't have a nasty scar, as we'd expect for having his appendix removed via crude emergency surgery? The timeframe(s) with this show is weird...
  22. Wow...I thought the Island of Lesbos was just the name of a movie
  23. After about a 6 month hiatus, I actually just bought a new 360 the other night...still don't have my XBox Live acct setup, but GTA IV will definitely be in my near future. I may wait for my stimulus rebate, that way it doesn't -feel- like an out of pocket purchase.
