As a team the Bills took a step backwards in 2021. They went from 13-3 and a visit to the AFC Championship game in 2020 to 11-6 and a loss in the divisional round of the playoffs in 2021. The trees are the unsustainable record setting play of one player. The forest is failing to win more games and go farther despite the brilliance of the trees.

We already regressed in terms of wins and losses and final position. We made the championship game last year and fell short this year. Josh Allen is about my favorite player to ever play the game. A strategy of relying on record breaking play by one player in the playoffs each week combined with in game coaching blunders may never be the formula to go further.

Based on press conferences we know the only person not at fault for this was our head coach. So we have that going for us.

Josh needs to hone his tackling skills sk he can step in and play MLB when the defense needs to stop another team with 13 second left in a game. Also his pass defense skills in the event the last play is going to be a Hail Mary for the other team. Finally his punting skills so wE don’t continue to waste a roster spot on a punter.

You could be right. As I mentioned he has the respect of people who know more than me. Will changing his role allow him to stop players and tackle them towards the LOS or will he always tackle them for an additional 2 yard gain?

The most fun player to watch in the NFL is Josh Allen. The least fun player to watch in the NFL is Tremaine Edmunds. There are lots of threads praising Josh and trashing Tremaine's production/performances. This thread is just about watching them play. Edmunds has the praise of coaches and peers who know a hell of a lot more about football than I do. But man, I hate watching him play. I have never seen a player who arrives on the screen just as the play is over more often than Edmunds. Maybe that just means he is out hustling everyone. But it drives me nuts.

31 teams won't win the super bowl this year. If you look back at the last 32 years, the bills should statistically have won 1 and participated in 2. We won zero and participated in 4. The whole league other than a couple of teams are "losers"
