Great posts above that assess the data, from OP study and beyond. My suggestion: add a 3DOF or even 6DOF IMU (inertial measurement unit) to ALL helmets. The IMUs are now very small and would not impact player mobility. Then longitudinal study of that telemetric data vs CTE-related outcomes, however defined. Just a thought.

This is true. We had a 90-lb female GSD...and frankly the additional insurance $ was ridiculous. Bottom line, as w any dog: she was extremely well-trained (GSDs are incredibly smart). On command, she could bite out your carotid...but she would much rather play with your kids, gently. All comes down to the owner.

I didn't often work ops with uniformed military. But, when I did, the kids (shooters, non-NCOs) would inevitably play "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" as we were crossing the wire. Ear-splitting volume my friends. As the unknown, old geezer in the rig, it would even get me hyped. Probably a smidge too gory for a new stadium, but wtf, why not?

Quick comment, O/T...been working so much that I'm rarely watching games live. So, for entertainment purposes, I later read GDT alongside the ESPN play-by-play. Very interesting exercise, btw. Anyway, I have to say, you are the most consistent, in real-time, "hang in there boys/girls, we still got this". It's damn inspirational, not kidding, not glazing...and I've been in the actual trenches a little bit. So, well done brother: keep all our heads up, no matter the circumstances. Good on you.
