Samuel emerging as an actual weapon is gamechanging. I’m hoping this is him ramping up from his injury. Get Cooper and Coleman healthy, get the bye, and this team is gonna do damage

It has EVERYTHING to do with the player lol. We gave them a guy that is having the best game of his career and like 4 catches on the drive. Its very Billsy. -

MVS is still like killing it -
It’s not even about becoming a complete WR. It’s about ability to impact games. It’s likely this dude just sucks. But can he run a couple go routes a game and maybe make a 60 yard TD pass? I think so. Can he draw a safeties attention and open up Shakir a bit? I think so. Is that worth not rostering a terrible player who does their 1/11th on ST? Absolutely.

Kelce has BEEN their top receiving threat the last 2 years and their offense has been considerably less than great. I think great receiving TE’s and slot WR’s kinda fill the same role. There is a reason they drafted a WR in the first round with a trade up and also signed Hollywood Brown. It was all to take focus off Kelce/Rice. Like I said, it’s philosophical. Any time spent on the Bills defense worrying about Hopkins opens up space for Kelce. Vice versa, any time spent worrying about Cooper opens up space for Shakir. It’s not easy to take away both outside threats and inside threats. It’s why KC was so deadly with Hill and Kelce. Teams were so afraid of 60 yard TD’s with Hill that Kelce had real room to operate. When Shakir is playing, I don’t think the loss of Kincaid is felt all that much as long as Cooper is still out there. Cooper is not 100% healthy which changes things. But if we are playing KC in the playoffs, and the choice is between Coleman/Cooper/Kincaid and one of them can’t play, I pick to miss Kincaid and it’s not even close tbh.

Not sure I agree with this. Shakir, while being incredible as a slot threat, has seen his YPC drop a full 4 yards. He was 15.7 YPC last year. Now he’s 11 YPC. Diggs was at 11.1 last year and anywhere from that to 13 in his tenure here. Part of that of that is usage, Shakir makes his living from the slot but that’s why slots are less valuable. And Shakir to me is a borderline elite slot now. The question is who is better for an offense. A top 15 outside WR or a top 3 slot WR. That’s philosophical and hard to answer imo.

Jon Gruden now employed by Barstool Sports

I think they still lose money. 2014ish was their peak market. Now it’s a losing game. I think they did partner with DK which probably floats them at this point. -
Sans Allen, who are the untouchable players moving forward?
FireChans replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s why they are all worth first or second rounders. -
They were close, but they weren't. When Brady and BB were together, they played in 13 conference championship games. Peyton played in 5. 4 of them were against Brady. Brady played in 10 Superbowls and won 7. Peyton played in 4 Superbowls and won 2. Peyton was a great player. One of the best QB's ever. He was never on the cusp of overthrowing the Pats dynasty. He got a couple on them, but it was the Pats-era just like its the Chiefs-era now.
-
Best coach in the NFL + best QB in the NFL equals dynasty and lots of Super Bowls. Everything else is closer to irrelevant thank folks like to admit. The Steelers had good coaches and a great top 5 HoF QB and HoF players. They still didn't hold a candle to Brady/BB in NE. Same with the Seahawks. Same with the Falcons. Same with the Colts/Broncos. The hope for teams like the Bills and the Ravens and the Bengals with great QB's is going to be sneak an SB or two, like the Colts, Broncos and Steelers did. That's it.

This was suppose to be a rebuild year

Is there a comparison available for the other contenders (SF, Niners, Philly etc?) I would imagine most playoff teams can hope for .500 against other playoff teams. -

FireChans replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
The off-season discourse around the Bills was always funny. We lived through the Pats dynasty. Best QB in the division + best HC in the division equals cruising to division titles. Doesn’t matter if the team is less talented than the year prior. But of course, folks were out here thinking we were a 7 win team. Foolish then, foolish now. -

This is ignorant and hateful commentary! -
If the other teams gameplan is “let Josh throw to Mack,” that kinda tells you all you need to know, right? I think we are having two different conversations. Mack can clearly be productive with Josh throwing him the ball. He was the most productive WR this week, so props for that. Like I said above, if the opposing teams gameplan is “let Josh throw to Mack” that should be some kind of indicator to his ability. I don’t blame Mack for Cooper/Coleman being hurt or for him being the best of a weak bunch otherwise. I still think that’s all he is, despite catching a deep pass that Josh had to scramble to create, that we’ve seen lots of lesser WR’s do in Josh’s tenure.
