ANY/A is a flawed metric because a QB who goes 1/9 for 90 yards is rated the same as 9/9 for 90 yards.

Daboll/Schoen have already had the best season in Giants’ recent history. They hadn’t won more than 9 games since 2016. Last year was their second winning season since 2012. Daboll and co are lucky they had such a good year last year, because it gives them rope.

No chance either are fired imo.

Passer rating, to me, has always served as a general “efficiency” metric. There’s an argument that completions are weighted too heavily, but as we know, most WR average over 10 yards per catch and running backs anywhere from 6 to 8, so completions usually equal extending drives. As with any efficiency metric in sports, there’s a way to game the system to inflate the metric (namely, checking down and taking safe completions). That doesn’t make the metric invalid, it makes it imperfect.

So was the Jameis 30 TD 30 INT season actually not that bad lol

Holy *****, Kyle Brandt actually is starting to ruin football for me.

Lots of coordinators get cute and try new things and get too far away from what’s working.

Again, all of those stats matter in context to the league at large. Gabe is a starter in the NFL, he is going to contribute to the team totals. How that compares across the NFL would be relevant.
-
PFR says you’re wrong. It has Zay at 33. Gabe Davis was a good day 3 pick. But a good day 3 pick doesn’t make you a good WR2.
-
I think the context of the league matters when categorizing counting stats. Zay Jones had 33 first downs and 7 TD’s his second year on the Bills. Was he a hugely important piece?
-
Davis was tied for 47th in first downs in the NFL last year. I don’t think that stat is as impressive as you make it seem.

The main takeaway from the Rams Super Bowl run is that accumulating a large amount of star talent, including Ramsey, pays off. Ramsey was a part of that group. Is he better than AD? Of course not, but he was certainly a key piece. Bengals had Eli Apple instead and paid the price. -
Brandon Beane…..you have to bring in a Corner.

It’s also KINGSLEY JONATHAN. It’s like a Madden Create a Player. He’s a million to one shot to ever be a starter at the NFL level. I know he beat out Boogie, but that’s more damning of Boogie, personally. -

Ramsey won a Superbowl two years ago. Gilmore won a Super Bowl as DPOY and made the game sealing play in the AFCCG. -

It’s a no brainer for someone who doesn’t understand statistics. Idk why people argue reality
-
Folks wonder why NFL coaches don’t play the numbers more when we have people among us who deny reality everyday.
-
Don’t believe you lol

Prior to yesterday's beat down, Allen was 18 of 23 on play-action passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Yesterday in play-action, Josh was 9/11 for 206 yards and 3 TD's. Need Dorsey to keep that going. Some folks will say that the run game helps, which is understandable, but most of the data suggests that PA effectiveness is not predicated on run game success. So regardless, this is when Josh is at his most lethal.

Is the difference between 1 to zero different than 7 to zero? -
Switch completely flipped. What happened? My personal theory is they told him it’s his last game starting.
