  1. It should’ve been, with Gabe only under contract for 2 more seasons. anyways, you don’t have to argue with me about WR being a need, argue with Beane who had to sign the corpses of John Brown and Beasley to give the WR room some juice last year.
  2. If we turn it over like we did in those close victories, we will lose IMO
  3. So if we drafted RT, it was a need right? Morse has been one bad hit away from retirement for years and IOL has needed a talent infusion outside of Bates. If you were super high on Davis, good for you, but IMO regardless, we should have done a better job preparing for life after Diggs. Shakir and Shorter ain't it.
  4. I think Cook was held back last year because Singletary was so much his superior in pass pro. IMO, it was the biggest question mark of his coming into this season, and he needed to show improvement to regularly see the field, and he has. His sideline and around the edge speed is near elite.
  5. Here’s the thing. I think it’s a total waste of time to debate if someone was bad or mediocre or just average. Edmunds was not a difference maker. Period. He wasn’t a difference maker here, he’s certainly not a difference maker in Chicago. Just because someone played on a great defense does not make them a difference maker. Damar Hamlin, Cam Lewis, and Elam all played on the #1 defense last year. None are difference makers, and 2 of them can’t even get pads on. The laughable narrative that Edmunds was this key cog for our defense over the last 5 years was just that. And we see that, as our defense is still humming along with a safety sized replacement outplaying him, and Edmunds leading the worst defense in football at the other lake. Edmunds was somebody we could reasonably upgrade from, and we did. Sucks that we gave up so many assets for him, but credit to Beane and co for cutting bait for a guy who at BEST was average. I will continue to bump the Edmunds report just as I bumped the Church of Tyrod topics, because some folks were relentless with their delusion and it’s fun.
  6. You are arguing with the voices in your head at this point. Maybe you need a break.
  7. Again, Oliver is playing the best ball of his career. Why would folks complain about him? You can keep shouting the sky could be green but everyone else has eyes too. The bottom line is McBeane traded up into the first round to draft Edmunds, didn’t sign him to an extension, and let him play on his fifth year option without re-signing him. They let him walk to be overpaid by one of the worst franchises in the NFL, and he’s currently not making any impact on the worst defense in the NFL. So yes, they know more than me but it seems they agreed Edmunds wasn’t worth the money lmao.
  8. Spencer Brown and Gabe Davis both have significant warts as starters. No one wanted Edmunds at that price on the Bills, even folks who liked him. Ed Oliver was a relative disappointment at his draft slot but is having the best season of his career so far. it is harder to be wronger than this post
  9. Agreed. We need the “passing to Diggs ain’t working” option. We don’t have it. Haven’t had it since 2020 tbh.
  10. It’s official. https://twitter.com/jayskurski/status/1707062904623714417?s=46&t=GGNmxHtuMQWK-ZEccAMZsQ
  11. Lol we traded up into the first for Edmunds. Average player is a disaster for that investment.
  12. "Not the worst LG in the league" was an upgrade, and he has delivered.
  13. Correct. I opined, many times, that Frazier having that rag-tag crew even statistically ranked as the #1 defense was probably his best coaching job in his career. Not saying I completely disagreed with the change over the offseason, but that defense was decimated and they still performed.
  14. Ultimately, I disagree with any analysis that disregards QB rushing because: 1. Most of the best QB’s in the NFL are so because partly because of their mobility 2. Nothing puts more stress on a defense than a QB who can pass or tuck it and take off for 20 yards I would rather have Josh with his mobility now and a rotating cast of characters at RB over Josh with Brady’s mobility and the best RB in football. All day, everyday.
  15. Woah woah woah. Allen’s rushing is rushing. You don’t get to say that the Rams and Chiefs short passing game is kinda like their rushing game, then say Allen’s rushing game isn’t a part of our rushing game. I call foul. Also you can’t say Zack Moss can be this playoff difference maker then post his goose eggs over the years in the playoffs.
  16. I'm going to be a little less lengthy. Bills playoff rushing from 2020-2022. 2020: 21 car for 96 yards, 1 TD 16 car for 32 yards 18 for 142 yards (loss) Our best rushing day coincided with a loss. Looks respectable. 2021: 29 car for 174 and 2 TD 24 for 109 and 1 TD (loss) Very good playoff. Much higher than respectable. L. 2022: 26 car for 107 and 1 TD 19 for 64 and 1 TD (loss) Probably the worst rushing year, but we got smacked in the mouth by the Bengals. L. The point is that some teams make rushing more of their identity. The Eagles and Pats especially. But the bottom line is both teams won the Superbowl in those years because their QB's outplayed the opposition. Teams run the football. Some more than others. Is it necessary to run a little bit? Yeah. But that's pretty much it. The level of respectability has been present in Buffalo enough. As far as Zack Moss, I'll believe he can string together 3-4 awesome games when he does it once in his career.
  17. You're just describing the Peter principle, which has been around for about 50 years.
  18. What is your definition of "at a minimum respectable?"
  19. Missed playoffs Missed playoffs 1st round exit Lost in AFCCG to better QB Second round exit. No he isn't. Doesn't mean we need our "Thurman" like all the Bills fans living in the past believe. Of course, not all Bills fans from the 60s believe this. But I would guess that the large majority of fans that push so hard for more rushing are older fans, not younger fans. 20 and 30 year old kids ain't waxing poetically about 40 carries a game.
  20. In fairness to @transplantbillsfan, he was the biggest Cian Fahey fan going and his two lunatic notable takes were that Tyrod was good and Allen was horrific. That guy really poisoned the well when it came to NFL takes from across the pond. It got to the point where I wondered if transplant was Fahey, more than once.
  21. This is a verbal headshot post. Kudos. Ether’d
  22. Sure but it’s not like the Scarecrow was the best ever at even that. At a certain point, these things add up.
