  1. If Kromer can polish a turd he deserves a raise.
  2. lol yeah. People are talking like having an amazing QB who is worth a mega contract is a bad thing. It's ridiculous.
  3. This would/will be an awesome hire. It's like the Trubisky of coaches coming in. Any time you can get a position coach with recent OC experience I think that's a pretty good win. Were the Carolina offensive woes really his fault? I don't know that we can say they were based on the QB play.
  4. You're not saying anything. If you're just going to say "well they could be good, or they could be bad, who knows?" then what's the point of posting anything?
  5. This is a throwaway line and basically a non-story. Maybe Daboll was frustrated with McD's game management or something else, or maybe he felt that McD didn't put him in the best position to be elevated into a HC. That doesn't mean he hated the guy or that they're bitter rivals or something. I get frustrated at my boss and coworkers sometimes too, that doesn't mean I'm miserable and will jump ship at any opportunity. Flores is basically bringing it up as a speculation.
  6. Kind of a bizarre choice, I wonder what has elevated him to this potential in McD and Beane's eyes.
  7. Of all the Ravens positional groups, WR has consistently been their worst. I don't know how I feel about this even if it's just a feeler interview.
  8. The defense doesn't have "that" leader. Poyer and Hyde are sort of that, but that's more for their positional group. It was supposed to be Edmunds but he really hasn't stepped into that role very vocally.
  9. Yeah, I think it's a pretty silly concept too. I've said it a lot, but I'm sick of seeing Mario "kind of got close but whiffed" Addison eat away snap counts and slow the development of our actual future at the position. I don't even think it's a talent problem why we don't see the D-Line manifest sacks, I think it's the coaching.
  10. There's a big pattern of the Bills having defensive meltdowns and losing in big moments. McD always kinds of handwaves it away with "execution", as if the scheme and playcalling is above criticism. I think you're right but I also think it's not going to happen. I would love to see a much more aggressive approach to defense because we know that the offense is capable of always putting up a lot of points. The prevent "bend don't break" style is for teams that win by dominating clock. It's not who we are and I wish we could adjust.
  11. I'm sure NFL fans will have fun with it. The national media won't bring up the choke job that he had though.
  12. Crazy what happens when you don't put you're whole secondary 10 yards behind all the receivers every snap.
  13. This takes a little bit of the sting off of last week, even if that's just me being petty. The thing I love the most about this is that this loss is absolutely on Patrick Mahomes. What a terrible second half and OT for him. Imagine if that was Allen, we'd never hear the end of it, but because it's Mahomes it'll get brushed under the rug and not brought up.
  14. This game is just making me sick to my stomach. Josh Allen deserves to be in this game, and our JV gametime coaching decisions blew it.
  15. Gronk isn't going to be effective without Brady. His chemistry with him is the only reason he's still good.
  16. I mean maybe that's true, I'm not trying to say that McKenzie is secretly as good as Tyreek Hill or something. I'll never know that though unless a coach comes out and says it. All I do know is the very few times he's been elevated to a starting slot receiver he's produced in a big way.
  17. I don't really understand why McKenzie is always in McD's doghouse. He's rarely gotten the opportunities, but when he does he's shined the last two seasons. I don't really understand why this guy can't get snaps in the slot. Yeah, he's not the return man we hoped he'd be (although when he has the ball he's electric), that doesn't he's not a useful piece of the offense. I'll be shocked if the Bills decide to retain Beasley, his contract and production just don't match up. McKenzie seems like a shoe in for his spot, but it looks like he knows he's not going to be on this team come August.
  18. I love this idea, but the man has earned himself a payday. I think he'll be too pricey for the Bills.
  19. I'd rather retain McKenzie and pick up someone else. Unrealistic but what I wish would happen: Bills pick up Hunter Renfrow. More realistic: Braxton Barrios.
  20. It's ridiculous that Addison and Hughes were out there as much as they were. It was obvious from the first drive that they didn't have the wheels to actually get to Mahomes.
  21. What would you rather have: - Fast food that's kind of great in the moment but ultimately disappointing. - A huge pile of stinky garbage with a foot fetish. Great poll, 10/10
  22. Watching Josh's presser just made me feel sick. It's a wasted year because of a coaching staff who can't get their crap together on gameday.
  23. Now that I've slept on it, I'm even more mad about this game. The coaching staff absolutely let us down. You have Josh Allen, coach to his level. It's pathetic.
  24. Part of the problem is our young guys are just stuck in this rotation and not getting as many valuable developmental snaps. Rousseau is probably going to continue to develop, from what you see of him so far it's a good sign. Epenesa is a question mark still. I'm so tired of seeing Addison just whiff on the field. Maybe he had it a few seasons ago but the athleticism is waning and his mindset of how to play the position hasn't changed. Hughes is great at getting pressure, but pressure doesn't mean anything against a QB like Mahomes, who thrives out of structure. After how this season is gone I'm not even sure Star really wants to still play football. Seems like he's going out of his way to not be on the field as much as possible. I understand it, god knows I've phoned it in at work just to collect the checks. It's a disappointment though.
  25. Even though your post is just oozing with sarcasm I think you bring up an interesting point; is this coach a guy who can consistently coach at a high enough level on gameday to get you to a Super Bowl? McD is obviously an excellent culture builder. I don't think anyone can argue otherwise. His guys love to play for him. He's excellent at setting the routine and having a professional atmosphere around the organization (Something a guy like Rex Ryan obviously couldn't or wouldn't do). This is all important to building a consistent successful team. On gameday though the warts can show. He is often conservative at key moments, has questionable TO usage, or the playcalling goes off in a direction that you kind of have stretch your mind to justify. Now I can't say that this is him necessarily, maybe some of it or a lot of it has to do with his coordinators, it's hard to pin down without knowing how gamedays are executed. We'll likely see the difference come next season, because I would bet one or both coordinators are going to get a head coaching gig. I will say this though, the Bills are set up in a way to remain competitive for as long as Josh Allen is our QB. The FO has done an excellent job in structuring contracts in a way that's going to keep us flexible with personnel. I don't think there's any world where McD is the head coach for at least the next 2-3 seasons though, it would take probably back to back major flops to even consider him on a hot seat.
