This kind of stuff is pretty common. The phins are getting Jordan Poyer likely at the lowest point in his career. The guy was serviceable but you could see how many steps he lost through the season. Good luck to him, he's going to need it with the exodus of young talent from Miami's defense.
-
I appreciate you taking up the mantle here and fighting the good fight, but it's clear that some people want to be mad at the Bills for the sake of being mad. Totally fair and I can see that side of it too.
-
Show me a team with awesome playmakers at WR4/5. It doesn't exist, that's why they're WR4/5.
-
Injuries will do that.
-
That's completely pivoting away from your original point, but okay.
-
The guy said that he "not enough talent to play on a team that's supposed to be a contender", I just provided context to show that's a silly thing to say. I never compared us to the Chiefs.
-
I'm responding directly to your statement " not enough talent to play on a team that's supposed to be a contender" Contenders have won it all with guys like Hollins in the wings. I'm not saying the Bills are anything, just that your statement is wrong.
-
The Chiefs whole WR room was filled with guys around Mack Hollins level this season and they managed to make it work. I'm not excited about this signing but it's not like he can be a Kelvin Benjamin level flop. He's a backup/ST guys primarily with some decent NFL experience.
-
Mack Hollins looked okay on the Raiders, but he's a bottom of the roster type guy, WR4/5 with some special teams upside. This shouldn't change anything in regards to the WR room needs, but eh... After Sherfield and Harty I'm not going to get excited.
-
He's been one of best route runners in short yardage situations. He's an interesting prospect for the Bills but probably redundant with Shakir. That being said, if he was cheapish I don't think it's the worst idea.
-
He'll be a backup / special packages / special teams player with starting experience. I suppose you can't ask for better. Seems like he's better than AJ Klein or someone like that, so I'll take it.
-
Dillon just had one of the worst seasons you can have as a RB. I wouldn't want him on the team at all, or pay him more than vet. minimum. I'd rather stick with Ty Johnson then even take a flier on AJ Dillon.
-
Dobbins is kind of interesting if you can get him on the team for a cheap prove it type deal.
-
I'll open my wallet and drop 60 bucks right now if that's what it takes for a Superbowl win .
-
Considering how the market has been for RBs compared to last season, it wouldn't surprise me. RBs are getting paid this year.
-
Likely the best fit for him. I'm very glad Beane is staying away from this first wave of RBs.

NFL Admits Mistake, Bengals get 3rd Rnd Comp Pick
Bruffalo replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a reason why the comp. formula isn't made public and the NFL can change it arbitrarily without informing anyone. It would in no way surprise me that there's implicit bias in the formula. -
You're right, a WR in R2 then as well. (Half kidding) A veteran signing is your insurance policy. I'd love to get Ridley or a flashy trade but I don't see it happening.
-
Wait until you run the numbers when Tua get paid 50+ million a year from the dolphins.
-
Just give me a day one rookie and middle tier veteran. There are more than a few examples of rookie WRs coming into the league and immediately contributing in the last few years.
-
Not to mention he had a torn pectoral. It's one of the easiest injuries rehab-wise to come back from in football. Much different from an ACL tear or ligament damage.

Do The Bills Have Enough "Elite" Talent?
Bruffalo replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Elite coaching is probably the biggest difference between the Bills and Chiefs. Reid is way more experienced and a really innovative offensive mind who is sprinkling in a lot of creative plays within a really solid offensive package of plays. McDermott is a defensive guy. Say what you will, but defensive minds don't effect modern football as much as offensive ones. The defense is inherently reactive. This puts us at a disadvantage. -
Bills 2024 Roster Breakdown (Current status)
Bruffalo replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't have any stats on hand to back it up, but it felt like he got better after the CB room stabilized and Douglas was brought in. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. -
He's a stabilizer on that D-Line. The difference with him in the lineup vs. out was pretty stark. The contract is right in line with his value.
