  1. And in 3 yrs nobody remembers the asterisk .. when is the last time someone questioned the 1987 Redskins super bowl .. probably 1989. Lets get the division and don’t worry about an asterisk
  2. I remember Conlan or Biscuit saying one time that they hated playing against him as they were worried they would pull a muscle trying to recover from his moves
  3. Scary. The type of darting eyes that make you cross the street when you see him coming at you ....
  4. Barry Sanders was the best RB I ever saw .. playing for a horrible team ... poor guys talents were wasted. His moves were dirty.
  5. This was a nice piece of comparison between Devin and kareem by cbssports https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/why-bills-running-back-devin-singletary-will-have-a-kareem-hunt-type-breakout-on-the-field-in-2020/ Interesting notes: "He became just the 11th first-year ball carrier over the past decade to eclipse 750 yards on the ground at more than 5.0 yards per carry." "forced 36 missed tackles on his 151 attempts for Buffalo a season ago, good for a rate of 23.8%. Hunt forced 61 missed tackles on 272 rookie-season carries with the Chiefs, which equates to a rate of 22.4%" Worth a quick read.
  6. https://twitter.com/CSimmsQB/status/1287862979673952257/photo/1 Reading the comments 90% people shocked by the lack of Poyer / Hyde or as someone in the comments called them Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde. Some great comments if bored. Jordan linked to it on his Twitter and tagged Micah .. may not appreciate their lack of placement.
  7. It was great to see in the article that the Bills have been one of the best at watching player safety .. that stuff matters in free agency, not as much as the $$$$, but still matters.
  8. That is an interesting counter point, but I think that is a rare occurrence (I cannot find another like comparison). There was also some belief in the Pats org at the time that he took too many plays off. Tre is a consummate team guy. Now once the player is older.. I agree that it makes sense to move on.
  9. You do this when you are trying to rebuild not when you are trying to win it all. White is entering his prime .. pay the man. BTW as to those who are criticizing White for comtemplating taking the year off .. shut up. It is in the end a game and it is his decision. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/08/06/tredavious-white-reacts-to-fans-criticizing-his-opt-out-deliberations/
  10. Bust for who (not Quincy or his agent :)).. if I were a WR I would have Quincy's agent on speed dial .. and if I were Quincy I would wash the agent's car once per month for free for life .. just to show my appreciation. His game did not warrant that kind of a contract at all.
  11. In a related note pff revisited his performance over the past 3 Years and downgraded him 30 pts from a 64 to a 34 .. they did mention that if he had joined the Chiefs his revised score would have been an 83
  12. People remember that the Redskins won the super Bowl in 1987 .. the fact that they did so in a strike shortened season is rarely noted and nobody implies it diminishes the achievement anymore .. maybe for a year or 2 they may, but then it is just team X won the SuperBowl
  13. The board always complains when it is pundits ranking players and here is actual coaches and we want to critique. Note: this is not a which tier do I think they will be in 2023 article, it is based off of 2019. I think it is fair in general and of course some will prefer QB7 over QB6, but this is not an exact science so let it go. I think it does show that the league feels Josh is progressing (and given that he was a very raw prospect that is what you want to see) and it also shows that he has clearly not arrived. This year is huge for him and the team. he does not need to be a tier 1 quarterback this year, but he does need to climb into the discussion of tier 2. As an aside, 1) Watson plays on a dysfunctional team and has been outstanding .. not certain how you can view him as anything but an upper-echelon QB; and 2) 1 great year is too small a sample size to say that Lamar will be upper echelon for the long-term, but he was clearly that in 2019. =========== For Mr. Weo only since he thinks I am a Josh homer .. this is crazy .. Josh should be behind only Mahomes and Russell Wilson .. this is an outrage
  14. Focus on Diggs and Singletary It is the dog days of summer .. so thought somebody might want to watch.
  15. Actually he was a scout not a soldier ..and he was in general friendly to native americans and felt they were unjustly treated. I actually wish we had a better name, but not because Buffalo Bill did anything wrong. But as someone said riling up the crowd leads to ratings no matter how faulty the info.
  16. I couldn't find a picture of it, but the "Bo don't know snow" sign was classic.
  17. This is really a good interview .. a lot of non-boilerplate info. Thanks to Teef for pointing out that this was here as I created a duplicate ...Thanks for posting Dr.
  18. Given there is no actual sports going on I think you can place a bet on this with Vegas (they are desperate). I am going with the over on 64 articles.
  19. 1) I am glad I do not disappoint you Mr. Weo .. my life hinges on your acceptance of me. This truly made my week. Truly you are too kind. 2) I spot articles that interest me and yes I tend to lean toward more hopeful, but I am just a positive guy. Note 1: I am pleased that there are cynics such as yourself to keep me grounded in my unwarranted euphoria. Note 2: I do not think that Josh has arrived and I think there is a decent chance he never gets to where we need him to be to get us into Super Bowl contention on a regular basis, but I also think there have been plenty of positive signs including leadership (the team clearly rallies around him), toughness, progress in eliminating interceptions (2 in the last 11 games last year), accuracy in the intermediate throws (this was a weakness in his rookie year and he was near the top in this category in 2019), and his clear desire to get better to name some. 3) I get there is plenty to work on - he takes too many sacks against the best defenses; he fumbles too much; he lacks touch (everything is a fastball) which I think contributes to the large drop numbers from his receivers; he tries to take things that aren't there (e.g., the lateral from hell); and the deep ball. As for the 38 TDs ... adding his rushing TDs to his passing TDs for 2019 he would finish 6th among all quarterbacks and unless they changed the rules and award extra points for passing TDs ... I am not certain that I or you should care how they are achieved, but as a stat purist maybe you have some insights into why being 6th overall is not positive progress. So while you don't think he has answered many of the unknowns .. I do for the reasons stated above, and as referenced above I am still not certain he is the long term answer but I have hope that he is based on what I have seen. Also if my positive posts offend you, please feel free to avoid them in the future. I would hate to be the cause of frustration on your part.
  20. But now he is at 73% .. so people can improve .. thank you for the excellent point. I hadn't thought to tie similarities to how Russell Wilson improved his accuracy thereby disproving the theory that accuracy cannot be learned. You sir deserve accolades for being willing to change your opinion based on facts. Some people would dig in and cherry pick only facts that help their own viewpoint, but you took the bold step of correcting your own fallacy. Kudos!
  21. I think this is a good read even for those of us not into fantasy football https://www.4for4.com/fantasy-football/2020/preseason/josh-allen-can-be-years-lamar-jackson
  22. the media doesn't actually decide anything, hence why they are always surprised when a trade goes down. The media would trash the trade, but a young QB with tremendous upside is going to get you multiple high picks. For the love of all that is holy, we gave up a first for Rob Johnson and we got a 3rd for Tyrod "at my ceiling" Taylor.
  23. There are enough people who think (excluding sports "journalists") that Josh ceiling is very high and the importance of Quarterbacks is so high .. you would get multiple first rounders for him. He has answered many of the unknowns about him and has improved on others. If at least two other GMs really liked him ( and there would be two that do) he would fetch a ton. having stated that for the very same reaspons I wouldn't trade him for any picks and for nobody not named Patrick Mahommes or Russell Wilson
  24. Nope .. don't know the person or the website .. just saw it pop up on youtube and found it interesting enough to share. I am sadly much older than the interviewer though apparently younger than the Wyoming coach.
  25. Focused on competitiveness and willingness to take on responsibility for mistakes among other topics. It is about 10 minutes long. Liked the quote while worried about his aggressiveness .. "sometimes he wears an S on his chest but easier to say whoa than giddy-up'.
