"Ace Per Head" - Dolphins Talk guy discusses some concerns coming out of the Miami area as conflicts between the GM and HC develop. Story coming out that Flores preferred Herbert to Tua. In addition, Flores / Gailey did not think Tua was ready last year .. yet he was started. Love that McDermott and Beane are soooo in synch.

Schedule makers did us no favors
CorkScrewHill replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In the it's still early category .. we only play 4 teams that at present have a winning record with Tampa 2-1; Carolina 3-0; New Orleans 2-1, and Tennessee 2-1. -
I think he loaded his britches on this play...

Josh Allen named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
CorkScrewHill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The great thing about Josh is in addition to being an amazing QB he just seems like he is a great person for whom to root. he always seems to do the right thing off the field .. mainly because it seems genuine (the baseball player that blew him off as a kid .. impacted how he deals with people). Great story that starts with Josh. -
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2021-nfl-predictions/ Bills in simulations: 89% to make the playoffs - highest 79% to win division - highest 21% to get first round bye - highest in AFC; 2nd highest overall to Rams 11% win Super Bowl - 3rd highest Average final record is 12-5 which is tied with the Rams for the most. I think much of this comes from the schedule and in particular the division we are in.

Josh Allen named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
CorkScrewHill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a start, but if he doesn't get AFC Offensive Player of the week next week, I think we need to start the discussion as to whether he can ever be a back to back OPOTW winner and in turn whether he can be a Franchise QB in this league. Darnold is looking good and I am pretty certain that we might be able to get the Panthers to trade for Josh if we throw in a few 1st round picks. :0 -

Does Anyone watch ESPN morning shows anymore?
CorkScrewHill replied to sistersarah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Similar to MTV which no longer plays music, espn got away from what they were great at .. sports and fun highlight shows. Now it about shock statements which are quickly forgotten when they don't come through and harped on as if they were Nostradamus if they happen to get one correct. they go for the low hanging click-bait (the Bills were a one hit wonder .. the Bills are amazing; Lamar jackson is the second coming / Lamar Jackson will never be a QB). They hit both sides so everyone can be shocked and upset at something. Then fans click to see the person admit their mistake and they double down getting even more clicks. They do not have to be right (certainly not Wright) .. they just have to be outlandish. Oh and they need to tell me how to think and live .. otherwise it is great. My advise watch the sporting events and skip all of their talk shows. -
Schedule makers did us no favors
CorkScrewHill replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We could be Miami .. the evil schedule makers gave them a road game against one of the toughest teams in the AFC after that team has a bye. Which AFC powerhouse did they gift this to .. why the Buffalo Bills. -
I think with Dawkins at least the first two games (especially the first) are likely throw away as he was still recovering from the effects of Covid. I would expect him to continue with his normal excellent play in general going forward.

A running QB puts the defensive player in a dilemma. I thought the same thing when all of the WFT defenders were still guarding their man as Josh waltzed in the end zone. The Heineke one he was at least hauling. Josh knew he had it and it was almost comical how he took that into the end zone. Big name players make it to the Pro Bowl when it is no longer deserved. Guys without big names that toil in Buffalo .. only if it is at least somewhat deserved. I am trusting the football people who put him in that game.

Adjective To be desired or approved of. having the qualities required for a particular role. Noun that which is morally right; righteousness. In a paragraph I would go with something like, "And on the 6th day God made a quarterback, big and strong with a rocket arm and deceptive mobility. He provided him with exceptional leadership skills .. and he looked what he had created and placed him in Firebaugh California and he stated 'This quarterback is Good'. Then he rested on the 7th day and watched the Bills play football with a big smile on his faced because he knew what he had made."

My understanding from previous posts (not necessarily fact) was that they use them for their marketing site (e.g., Milano ranked #1). The team is much better equipped to judge their own players as you point out .. they know what play was called. I would imagine they also don't use them for other team's player evals as the PFF top draft picks / top free agents don't align to draft position / contracts from what I can see.

Said it was really odd as they needed to have meetings in the showers because they knew the locker room was bugged. The Patriots are just the worst. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/09/20/peyton-manning-discusses-concerns-that-locker-rooms-were-bugged-in-new-england/

Steelers Blocked Punt Schematic
CorkScrewHill replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do not have fancy graphics .. but every punt my son and I are shouting at the screen to punt the thing as he takes soooooooooooooo long to actually swing his leg. I will reserve judgment, but right now he seems to be the Ent of punting and as TreeBeard says "it takes a long time to punt a ball in old entish" -

It's too early to be overly worried about Josh and similarly it is too early to be overly hyped about the Defense, but as of now they are 2nd in yards given up and second in scoring allowed https://www.footballdb.com/stats/teamstat.html?group=D&cat=T Also early, and they have played a couple of higher-powered offenses, but the Chiefs are last in the league.

9/19//21 Week 2 Bills @ Miami Postgame Thread
CorkScrewHill replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His ball placement has been off .. but it is way too early to be overly concerned. One could say, if you don't think Josh has heart / skill to address it you haven't been watching the last 2 years where he clearly continued to improve his game.
