  1. **** Sean McDermott. This is completely unacceptable.
  2. Have the Jets had all their weapons at all this year, in any game? Have the Jets faced a practice squad defense at all this year, in any game? Ridiculous.
  3. And he opted out in plenty of time for them to replace them, but Beane was on the record saying they didn't intend to do so.
  4. Were you one of the people arrogantly laughing saying we were going to destroy the Titans? BUF 17 NYJ 27
  5. Next year, when I complain for the third year in a row about the negligence with respect to the CB position on the initial roster, maybe people will finally not jump down my throat. For some reason, CBs on this team get injured all the time, and then that is the one position they consistently under-fill coming out of preseason. Does the constant stream of CB injuries on this team have something to do with the scheme?
  6. Something must have went down with Thompson. He went from being a role player here for multiple years to them having no interest in him whatsoever, even when need was high. No practice squad, bringing back Lacey instead, etc.
  7. So here's the deal. All you'll hear from casual fans and the national media is that the Bills are supposed to destroy the Jets. We're favored by 10.5. They seem to be overlooking the fact that Darnold is back and has his WRs healthy for the first time this season. Furthermore and most importantly, the Bills are likely without two of their top three linebackers and possibly ALL FOUR of their outside corners. The Bills are pretty much fielding a practice squad defense. We're also without our starting TE and a starting WR. Yet, if we lose, the narrative will be, "What's going on with the Bills? Couldn't even beat the lowly Jets!" The converging factors making this a tough game will be totally ignored.
  8. Great! So his first game will be against us in Week 9...
  9. Very strange all around. Very strange that the general plan, if one existed, was not known, but perhaps more surprising is how unprofessional Fitz's response is. If this were any other player, everyone would be blasting him for being selfish and not a team player. You pretty much have to trade or release him at this point.
  10. And yet this will fly under the radar and the national media and uninformed fans will still expect us to beat them in the same manner every other team has, regardless of how much better they are. "The Bills barely beat the Jets", "What's wrong with the Bills..."
  11. Usually does for some reason, even though we're the team based in Buffalo.
  12. Patriots at Bills will absolutely and 100% be a referendum on Sean McDermott. The Bills MUST be 6-2 in 2 weeks. MUST.
  13. This is realistic, but of course you're getting flamed for being a realist on this board. Yes. That's not how it works.
  14. You guys can excoriate me all you want, but McDermott is literally echoing me in his press conference right now. Pick your poison. Allowing rush yards was the plan -- not to say they wanted to allow that many -- but this is the kind of game they wanted, by design.
  15. Could be because Ed Oliver is a bust. Get mad at me all you want, but I'm pretty sure it's true.
  16. Guys, yes, I'm sure McDermott didn't want them to rush as well as they did, but kind of letting them rush to an extent was the game plan. Kansas City had pretty much no big plays in the passing game. If we had come with a different strategy, we would have seen the high-flying, high-scoring Chiefs. This is the type of game that McDermott wanted to play. Granted, I wish we could have kept the rushing average down, but still.
  17. When the Chiefs thought that was a fumble and they were about to go down 24-23, you know we put a scare into them. Respectable performance.
  18. 1. Kansas City is just better than us right now. That's okay. 2. You can't blame the defense for this one overall -- except for the White/Poyer penalties and the 3rd & 12. 3. The story of this game is Josh Allen. He did not look good overall. Questions about his accuracy are real. Can he get better? If not, what does that mean? Let's not let the one fourth quarter drive distract from the game at large. Watching him, even though he's in his third year, you still just get the feeling that he's still learning and improving. When will he peak? 4. Nonetheless, we got good, motivated Kansas City, including one of those occasional very good defensive game plans from Steve S. Despite this, we were an inch away from a fumble that would have set us up to take a 24-23 lead over the champs in the waning moments of the fourth quarter. It's truly a game of inches. 5. When we calm down from this game, I think we should be pretty okay with it, questions about Allen notwithstanding. And, you have to say it again... We couldn't get off the field on 3rd & 12. I'm not sure why McDermott's defense struggles so much in these situations. It *was* Mahomes, but still. That could have been a playoff game. We are still a playoff team. We will still crush the Jets next week. We'll go from there.
  19. Somehow, these last two defenses have been blanketing our WRs while simultaneously getting near-instant pressure. It's been very erratic on offense as a result.
  20. Very big miss analytically. The numbers show that overcoming a halftime deficit is very rare.
  21. I'm not going to lie, those comments from Bradshaw struck me as unfair and disrespectful. Very dismissive. I hope Allen catches wind of them.
  22. Weirdly aggressive. Of course that occurred to me.
  23. Murphy and HH were by design, not injury, so you can't count them.
  24. Get ready for exploitation of the middle of the field all night long, Bills fans.
