I think if by the time the Super Bowl arrives the stadiums can be full, I don't think it would be any less satisfying if you had a packed Super Bowl with all the hoopla. Imagine that? I think that would feel just the same. Right there with you except no man boobs; had surgery a week ago to have them removed.

The point is that we mercilessly dump on Duke for failing to make what would have been a highlight-reel catch, when John Brown couldn't even complete a standard catch that probably would have made the same impact. Everyone forgets about the other critical receptions Williams had during the game. Look, I don't think he's going to make the 53 either, but I think he would have as the #4 if not for Davis. I think the Hodgins love is hilarious; this is a lanky guy with a slight frame who almost certainly won't be long for the league. I'll take the big-bodied, physical, nasty player with great hands any day. Duke brings an emotional edge that can't be discounted as well. I think Duke Williams is actually the best fit on the roster for 22 personnel, but they might decide they don't use it enough for it to be worth it.

Why aren't you saying this about John Brown? Duke made several key catches in that game that no one else on the roster last year would have made, and it's like everyone forgets it because he failed to make a spectacular catch in the end zone. The criticism of Duke Williams is over the top and makes no sense.

I think my general takeaway is you have this team much too low-scoring. If you believe in Allen, you realize this offense is loaded and should score a lot of points. I think it will be extremely rare for us to be under 21, and you have that happening 7 of 16 times. I also think you're going to see a couple of 40-burgers this year.

I truly can't wait until this is behind us. Us out of towners desperately need a la carte or "follow your team" legitimate/legal/reliable streaming option... with a good frame rate so it doesn't look like streaming.
