Sals 53 man roster prediction
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldn't agree more... In this case, I'm talking about Boehm. Boehm helps this team more than the speedy Robert Foster or physical, emotionally charged Duke Williams? More than another rotational pass rusher? 10 OL and only 4 1/2 cornerbacks? Makes literally no sense. -
Sals 53 man roster prediction
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very interesting. He has the exact same as me except he has D. Johnson instead of Corey Thompson, and Boehm instead of Croom. He also predicts the same baffling lack of cornerback depth. -
If recent history is any indication, the Bills will cut down to a disturbing lack of depth at the cornerback position -- a position that is already thin and has injuries. It's one weird trend with this coach/GM. So, tomorrow, I expect them to only have four true CBs on the roster, plus Siran Neal: White Norman (already injured) Wallace (already injured) T. Johnson (gets injured every year) Neal Lewis and Jackson will be cut.

Bills Super Bowl Victory 20-21 Season
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven't read through the whole thread, but I might have a bit of a different perspective on this. I think if by the time the Super Bowl arrives the stadiums can be full, I don't think it would be any less satisfying if you had a packed Super Bowl with all the hoopla. Imagine that? I think that would feel just the same. Right there with you except no man boobs; had surgery a week ago to have them removed. -

It would put as at like #7 in ppg, which is realistic with this offense unless Allen sucks. Really, if this offense doesn't score on that level, there is a quarterback problem.

Duke should definitely be part of the WR's this year
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's either that or out of the league, because he's not playing special teams. -

Yes, the fact that he didn't make that one catch doesn't mean he doesn't have great hands. Give me a break. -

This seems to be the most likely outcome to me, with Duke being employed elsewhere as a productive #2 receiver. -

The point is that we mercilessly dump on Duke for failing to make what would have been a highlight-reel catch, when John Brown couldn't even complete a standard catch that probably would have made the same impact. Everyone forgets about the other critical receptions Williams had during the game. Look, I don't think he's going to make the 53 either, but I think he would have as the #4 if not for Davis. I think the Hodgins love is hilarious; this is a lanky guy with a slight frame who almost certainly won't be long for the league. I'll take the big-bodied, physical, nasty player with great hands any day. Duke brings an emotional edge that can't be discounted as well. I think Duke Williams is actually the best fit on the roster for 22 personnel, but they might decide they don't use it enough for it to be worth it. -

Why aren't you saying this about John Brown? Duke made several key catches in that game that no one else on the roster last year would have made, and it's like everyone forgets it because he failed to make a spectacular catch in the end zone. The criticism of Duke Williams is over the top and makes no sense. -

What behavioral issues has Duke had in Buffalo? -
Jets 13, Bills 27 Bills 28, Dolphins 17 Rams 9, Bills 38 Bills 23, Raiders 17 Bills 16, Titans 24 Chiefs 37, Bills 27 Bills 27, Jets 20 Patriots 20, Bills 33 Seahawks 24, Bills 20 Bills 41, Cardinals 27 Chargers 16, Bills 31 Bills 23, 49ers 20 Steelers 27, Bills 16 Bills 23, Broncos 20 Bills 31, Patriots 17 Dolphins 23, Bills 13 (if resting) or Dolphins 17, Bills 41 (if not resting) 11-5 or 12-4 depending on playoff situation going into week 17. Very, very tough schedule, but we're also one of the best teams in the NFL.

I think my general takeaway is you have this team much too low-scoring. If you believe in Allen, you realize this offense is loaded and should score a lot of points. I think it will be extremely rare for us to be under 21, and you have that happening 7 of 16 times. I also think you're going to see a couple of 40-burgers this year.

She's in the quarterfinal now and not doing too hot in this match it appears but figured some of you might like to tune in.
