  1. I’m not the person claiming Williams is Milano’s replacement. That’s a HUGE stretch. He’s shown little to nothing and Milano is great. I like Williams and would love for him to develop into Milano, but at this point he’s just as likely to be pre-season cut next season as he is a all pro.
  2. But but but but, they traded a first for Diggs, in a wildly deep WR class. The pick they traded turned into Jefferson, they could have sent virtually the same package and had Lamb, why does is matter? CAP space. Those guys are studs on rookie deals. Yes they are going to get paid, BUT you could have saved 2 starting DTs worth of cap for 4/5 years and when you paid them, have a 24 year old, not a 30 year old. That’s huge. For as much hate as I give Davis, he’s been a very productive 4th round pick and if he was playing the #3 the way he should be, nobody would be mad. The problem with the assets being spent on drafting D isn’t that you spent the picks, it’s that you didn’t hit on any of them. Back to back DEs that were so impactful, you had to go sign an aging Miller to a monster deal and that obviously looks even worse now. Oliver is fine, but 3 DTs after him are absolutely in a different league than he is. Elam.. good lord.. that one cost us next years 3rd round pick and more money to make up for that gaffe in order to survive this year. The thing the apologist want to argue is the number of guys Beane drafted that are in the NFL. The reality is, quantity is nice, but they’re no impact players. Literally none. There’s a chance that he finally hit with Kincaid, but that remains to be seen as right now he basically producing as a good slot WR. Don’t get me wrong, love it, but that’s not a massive impact player, yet. The reason this team is in cap hell is poor drafting. The reason this team is looked at as having lesser talent vs the other contenders is POOR DRAFTING. If we want to be really honest, neither Beane nor McClappy would be here if they had not hit on Allen. Without him elevating the entire team, both would be elsewhere.
  3. Milano is one of the best in the game and Williams is struggling to hold his spot over a guy who wouldn’t have a spot in an NFL roster if McClappy wasn’t obsessed with ST play, in an era where it’s never meant less.
  4. All false, Allen is here because Terry is cheap and it was less cost to have two Allen name plates made vs adding another whole set up fee.
  5. Yeah, I’d hate to be the Eagles, drafting all those stupid top prospects and winning right out of the gate. Has to be a rough life, especially being able to do it with their own draft spots being lower than the Bills. You sir, are what others call a “Homer”. Next year NEEDS to be the reset year, the team is old and not very talented in many key spaces, not to mention it’s built from a defensive posture, not an offensive one. I don’t mean assets are focused on the D (though they are), the team is built to stop other teams and try to keep up with some of the high fliers, the problem is, you can’t do both without great drafting. The team has no identity, which means they won’t BEAT you with Defense and they might outscore you with an under tooled O. They need to go all in on Allen, build the line, which gives you a running game, and get him some weapons. Then if you HAPPEN to be able to draft well, the D ends up better than you plan. It’s basically what Philly has.
  6. I fear you are spot on. I’m going to start calling him McLewis, he’s the modern MARVel. Mediocre by definition and yet fans refuse to acknowledge it because “it could be worse”.
  7. Having 5 years of no real difference makers outside of Allen is exactly why they are in this situation. Last draft LOOKS pretty promising, hopefully the next draft can net 3 new starters on the OL, a #1B WR, 2 DTs, a pass rusher, 2 starting safeties and a partridge in a pear tree so they can fix the cap and be good at the same time.
  8. Who? The S depth on this team is pathetically bad. Are you planning to convert corners? I’m sadly convinced they will run it back again in 2024, same coaches, same basic roster and 2025 will be the new coach and a reset year. So they won’t be competitive again until 2026 and Josh will be creeping up on a decade in the league as a guy who hammers his body.. hope I’m wrong, but I think the pundits had it right, the window is basically closed.
  9. Well that’s because he’s scoring too fast obviously. You can’t leave a team 13 seconds and expect to win, unless you play the Bills who have 2 time outs and 20 seconds, they will just kneel it out for you.
  10. Man, I can’t imagine what he could do w a TE who gets coverages to leave a safety down and a QB with an arm like Allen or Maholmes, can you?
  11. Yeah, BUT it’s Texas, so the DA makes the decision, not the victim. Dead money is what his cap hit would be if he were cut in that season. So if you bounce him in 2024, it costs is 32M
  12. That all depends on what the DA wants to do, if they can be bought, Von is fine, if they want to make an example of him, good luck!
  13. I’d say Miller cost himself everything w this one. He’s probably done in the league and nobody is going to hire him to front office work if they can’t show complete innocence on this.
  14. Might as well just trade Josh to a team where he has a chance to win if true. What a shame to watch another guy go down as “best to never win anything”. So you are ok with being the team that has to play perfect games because they aren’t good enough. Got it.
  15. Von Retiring straight up screws the Bills, he needs to cut his salary.
  16. Once Kelce is gone AND if we see a progression to letting the kid get more than a 6 yard route, he could be really special.
  17. It’s all coach speak to say it wasn’t Gabe’s fault, Brady essentially said, the guys weren’t prepared to execute under the circumstances and I knew we would see it, so it’s my fault. He took the finger pointing away from both guys by simply saying the team wasn’t prepared for the moment.
  18. Im ok with what you’re saying, but why is it, when there’s a “miscommunication” the ball is almost ALWAYS intended for Davis? I can’t believe the rest of the guys just know what Josh is thinking every time, there’s something to it.
  19. I don’t get it, he even has the right name for a WR in Buffalo, we love smurfs, what more can he do?
  20. I thought he was undraftable coming out, after his first year playing, I was still sure I was spot on. Then he broke out like Allen did. He’s playing great football.
  21. The entire problem with a scheme like this, you can hide mediocre talent with it, waiting on the other team to screw up. However, you sell your soul to stop either the run or the pass in big moments UNLESS you have elite talent, that leaves you susceptible to getting crushed in big moments. The reason Tony Dungy got fired in Tampa was the same issue, bend, don’t break, only works if you have room to bend. McD will get fired is just that, it doesn’t work when you can’t bend.
  22. If they lose to KC, just mail it in, you aren’t getting in the playoffs, it’s also proof you can’t beat the best (in their own version of a down year)so just plan for the draft. That said, regardless of what makes sense, they will play to win for the rest of the year and put themselves 2 or 3 draft slots away from the guy they really want/need for the 50th time. Or even better, trade the slot that takes potentially the GOAT at their respective positions for the 3rd time in 7 years.
  23. That wasn’t a special catch by NFL standards. He’s still a #1, but he’s no longer a difference maker. He’s not breaking teams back, if anything he’s been dropping passes that break the Bills. He may be a stay Queen, but that’s more indicative of the lack of talent around him. That’s no excuse either, he’s produced BIG with the same guys or equivalent around him since he’s been here, he’s just dropping off. It’s not crazy when he’s no longer a difference maker. You can’t be just “better than everyone else on the ***** team” and make 20+ against the cap.
  24. It’s pretty clear, there are a lot of teams with FAR better talent than the Bills have and still have better cap situations. A couple of them even have QBs in the same conversation as Allen, so what’s the excuse? He’s made a lot of ***** FA signings and his continued lack of difference makers in the draft have lead to spending large on FA guys who are taking up a lot of cap and not producing much. here’s the thing, you can’t take Josh Allen away from him, but if you did evaluate this team vs any other team with a QB who’s has been paid, where would you rank the talent level? Id argue, it’s not near the top of those teams. So is he doing a great job? My answer is no. You are your decision.
  25. Riiight, that’s why he’s got more drops in the last two weeks than he had last year, makes sense:
