Who’s the best Left Tackle you have ever watched?
Mikie2times replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
You sort of hit a level of play at LT where you know these guys are among the best to ever do it, but without stats and with the era variance it becomes very hard to say. I would say Boselli, Jones, Munoz, and Trent Williams are on that list for me. Williams has to be one of the most physically imposing OL I have seen. Dude looks like he will straight kill people out there. -
The MVP Race is 3 Players & Why they Can Win
Mikie2times replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
INT's are the reason Allen has never won it. I went back about 20 years and couldn't find one MVP QB with a PASSING TD to INT ratio worse than 3 to 1. Brett Favre was the last one and it was barely under 3-1. That happened in 1997. In 2020 Allen achieved this and it was certainly an MVP quality season but Aaron Rogers put up a mind numbing 48 TD to 5 INT's. Which is just dumb. Last year Josh wasn't even a 2-1 TD to INT ratio. I'm not here to argue if this is fair or makes sense but it's obvious as to why. That is a huge criteria voters look at for this award. As far as this year, it's looking like it could be an MVP caliber season but he is going up against a player who is playing better. At the very least, better based on the criteria we often see. Jackson is having a Aaron Rogers 2020 type year. Jackson: 24 TD and 2 INT, 538 Rushing yards 2 TD's Allen: 17 TD to 4 INT , 251 Rushing yards and 4 TD's -
Statistically he is having his worst year as a pro. Lowest sacks, tackles, pressures, you name it. This goes all the way back to his rookie year. I presume he has at least a somewhat similar roles as the past as far as being a penetrating DT. I understand your point as far as not really knowing for sure but the stat regression is certainly conversation worthy.

Always enjoy his breakdowns. He has the fun parts of Gruden without the dabagery. -
Does Jerry Jones fire McCarthy on Monday? The GM too?

Oh my god, you're kidding right? Who has been better than the Eagles in the AFC East the last three years? What are the big games that we have come through in? Twilight zone -

We don’t have the worst defense in the divisional round or later of any team in football since Allen joined the Bills? That will change this year you think? I liked Cooper, Coleman. I like a lot of what we do. I don’t like our HC. It’s really that simple. As I have said a billion times. It would be wonderful if I’m wrong about McMarty. As it stands, I’m just calling out your complete disconnect from reality. We have accomplished a fraction more than Dallas by any standard. If you swapped the names and just showed results they would be virtually indistinguishable from each other. Yet you put us on a pedestal thinking they’re some dysfunctional team and we are some world class one. They’re a mess this year, but the last three seasons are nearly a carbon copy of our perceived greatness. Yet it’s me who is horribly off base in this analysis? -

The Cowboys are 36-15 the last three years. The Bills are 35-15. We have 2 additional wild card victories. Totally missed it, you’re right! It’s embarrassing to be discussed in even the same breath. We have nothing in common. -

I was comparing the end result. Clearly we have a much better culture, a better program, a better everything. But for all that better it's got us what again? Last three seasons, great regular seasons and bounced early in the playoffs. Cowboys last three seasons, great regular seasons and bounced early in the playoffs. The fact that you separate it so dramatically is what is funny. Do I expect others here to do the same? Sure. That’s why I said what I did. The main thing that separates them is this year. At least from a level that doesn’t include your emotions. -

For all of our regular season championships we haven't made it any further than Dallas has. This place is like Ray Charles living in a glass house. At least the music sounds good. -
Former Bills can bring Billsyness with them. The Lions can be Billsy as well, so don’t be shocked if he misses
-
Bates can probably make it from here
-
Stop here at it gets interesting. If I’m Houston I want this game over now. I don’t know how OT would treat them even if they made it that far
-
For sure, getting hit like he has changes everything
-
Gibbs honoring Barry on that one
-
I think so. Gibbs is not somebody I want to play
-
What Houston has done to QB’s this year is pretty remarkable.
-
Tirico for sure, I thought Dennis Miller as well for some reason
-
Damn they’re hitting. This Houston team is physical. Sort of reminds me of the Bengals a few years ago.

The Chiefs have only scored 30 points once this season
Mikie2times replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want to win, but with the bye after, if we sit some guys that need it I’m fine with that. The last 4 games have been within 7 points. It should be a one score game. To me the only news story that would surprise me or that I really care about is if either team wins by more than 7. We don’t want to see evidence of them separating. Past that our health will matter a lot more to the one that matters most in the playoffs. This isn’t our Super Bowl. -

We are about .500 in one score games over multiple contending years. 0-2 vs playoff teams this year. Multiple years running in which we universally were considered a contender and we got bounced from the Divisional. Dramatically underachieving against our DVOA and EPA in the regular season specifically on defense. All of which is very well documented. We currently lead the NFL with a +13 turnover margin which historically is not a stat that is sustainable and if anything usually regresses back to the average. You can call them a legit contender but if you had a trial on what legit contender has shown the highest likelihood of running off 3-4 straight tight games against other legit contenders is it possible to rate us anything but last in that conversation? -
100%, I wanted Coleman but to me the argument for Worthy was just the fact that he brought a skill we don't have. Which you very well could still argue. Having a guy that could take the top off would really change this offense. The fact that Gabe's fairly pedestrian 40 was able to do that so effectively make me wonder what dimension that could bring. You know Beane has to see it as well with Ginn Jr playing that roll so well when he was in Carolina despite having predominantly oversized WR's.
