12/1/2024 Bills vs. 49’ers 1st half game thread
Mikie2times replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why wouldn’t it be? We are a finesse team. We depend on our team speed on defense. -
Important, but OSU just can’t move the ball at all

Fitz - If you feel good about the Chiefs, you’re in denial

If we play them will it be close? If it’s close do they tend to perform well? Does it matter how they’re are playing at this point when the above is basically the floor of how bad they can get? -

I mean, most people ARE calling them a fraudulent team. This thread is about getting on the KC is fraudulent bandwagon comparing them to a team that was blown out in the wild card round last year. Do you not recall this exact same narrative playing out with the Patriots multiple times or even the Chiefs last year? Now hopefully it goes nowhere near that direction but wow, you would think people would show a degree of restraint and historical perspective. Actually, never mind. Why would I think that. 🤣 it’s a warm place where logical things reside. The entire board saying they’re fraudulent. We just got done playing a rock fight game with them? See where this is really confusing? If we catch them in the playoffs it should be another battle as usual. -

People that think we will just roll them or they aren’t a threat are in far greater denial. I’m not sure what to make of all this to be honest. After that win many looked at us like it was a sign we were the best in football. Yet on the other hand the Chiefs suck? Now I’m reading a lot of these big takes that the Chiefs will be rollovers. This after us converting a 4th down play that likely swings the game the other way if we don’t get it. I really can’t make sense out of the contradictions at this point.- 123 replies

Or we should just expect a competitive game? Because Josh scored that late touchdown? Sure. It still required exactly what I said needed to happen no? Bet you said this stuff about the Patriots as well. -

I would think this way with other teams but not them, nor the Pats during the run they had. Look at like this. Will we be in a one score game if we play them in the playoffs? I don't know anybody could argue against that. Now hypothetically say they really passed the eye test these last few weeks. Would you still think it will be a one score game? Sure. Nearly all of them have with the exception of some late scores. Bottom line, we will likely find ourselves in a very similar situation if we face them in the playoffs as we did in the most recent match up. Even if we are better, we will need to execute on what is likely our last drive to kill the clock or go up two scores. Anything less than that and it's unlikely we win (or anybody for that matter). -

I don't think he's sympathizing with anybody. More just recognizing not every team beats the breaks off the scrubs like the Lions or even Bills do at times. KC has been doing this forever and sure they have had some good luck this year, but if you asked what do you expect the Chiefs record to be in games decided by 7 points or less I would say they win 3 of 4. We did a great job closing the door on them in our game and will likely have to do that again if we see them in the playoffs. -

It just doesn't matter who they play. Every game will be a one score affair down to the wire and they're really good and being on the right side of those situations. If you're looking for style points to declare why they won't be a postseason threat you're mistaken. That's not who they're at this point and really wasn't last year either. -
I mean, when Jim McMahon is the best QB you have produced in nearly 75 years its saying something.

I have no idea where to put this but it’s pretty damn funny. Non QB Brady is actually likable 🙃 https://www.facebook.com/NFLonCBS/videos/1888511011630542/?fs=e&mibextid=0NULKw&fs=e&s=TIeQ9V -

December 15th at Detroit is the Game of the Year

I’m starting to think we match up better against the Lions than I originally thought. The Bears run a very similar defensive scheme to ours, and they’ve given the Lions problems for the past two years, so I can definitely see a similar script playing out. The big difference, though, is Josh Allen compared to someone like Caleb Williams—Allen’s mobility and ability to break contain is on a whole different level. The Lions’ defense leans heavily on man coverage, and if you can get a mobile QB like Allen out of the pocket, it exposes their secondary. I really think this will be an extremely competitive game, and honestly, I’d rather play the Lions than the Eagles in the NFC. The Eagles just have too much power and physicality with their line and run game. -

Again, it’s in outcomes. Not penalties. I can barely think of 1-2 examples of a flag being picked up on a clear replay assist. Maybe a few intentional groundings. But that’s it. It’s not meant to overturn bad penalties. It’s meant to overturn bad calls. -

They don’t often get involved on penalties. They do it on play outcomes -

Sure, but I see the same thing with them with Michigan. Buffalos fandom and loyalty is just deeper and stronger. It matters more. To them, it matters but then when it ends it’s like it never happened. Characterizing sure, they have die hards, sure. Just different IMO -

I think Dan sort of blew the NFC championship game last year. While fully respect his journey and his coaching prowess I feel like the Lions have a Billsy quality to them and will likely have a lot of playoff misfortune
