Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Mikie2times replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
He comes with the dreaded high motor tag, but I think he is a lot more than that. REALLY looking forward to seeing what he can do. -
Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?

He likes to troll me and says I have an "agenda" to attack the the team. It's just weird at this point. -
Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the last 4 playoff losses. Three of the four vs KC, all close games. Some beating ourselves and some poor calls contributed but within the games I would argue it's just been easier for the other team. Which also shows up in the stats. In my opinion, the defense has to force more punts. We can't get off the field in these games and teams that can do that and play good defense vs us is really a bad combination. That's why I still lean Baltimore, even though I think Baltimore is more more likely to commit a critical error than somebody like KC. -
Kansas City = Doesn't really feel like a horrible match up but we can't seem to get it done in the postseason. They have championship DNA and are the most difficult to put to bed in a game Baltimore = I thought they outplayed us in the playoff game without Zay Flowers and in somewhat optimal weather to bother Lamar. We forced the key turnovers but I still see this as a bad match up for us. Cincinnati = These aren't the Bengals from yesterday, but Burrow is built to play against our scheme. I have highlighted before he has no incompletions in 3 opening drives vs us, almost 200 yards, and 3 TD's. Houston= They beat us up last time and produced one of the worst games in Allen's career. It's a very aggressive and physical defense. Nico Collins didn't play in the 2nd half last year either I think all 4 of these teams could give us problems. We play all four, should be absolute battles.

2025 Official Bills Schedule Prediction & Breakdown
Mikie2times replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
I played ball from 8-20, only played against 3 people who made it to the NFL. All three failed and all three were so filthy at that time an entire team of normal humans looked like children. The level any NFL player is at is truly hard to understand. Totally sucking is probably top 2-3 in your state for the class and a lot of those guys don't even make it. -
Sharks are not “dangerous” if that is the case, flying is dangerous. People die falling when going for a walk. Nearly anything can become dangerous if the sample is big enough and the standard is any serious injury. Having said that sure, golf carts can be pretty dangerous under the wrong conditions. Most things paired with booze and shenanigans have risk which golf carts often have.

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
Mikie2times replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
100%, a lot has been debated in this thread and I’m not going to rehash those points. But Buffalo will essentially enter the year saying the exact same thing as they did last year. Same level of confidence. Same debates by the same posters. Then low and behold, 180 mid season. Beane is a good dude, that much is clear. But people act like his every move is meticulously planned and nearly always correct. That he’s a pure straight shooter at all times. Maybe that is always his intention, but we have gone from “spread the ball” to oh crap we need somebody to stretch the defense. To I know Amari didn’t deliver the stats we wanted, but look how well we performed. To I think we need a field stretcher. To I love the WR room we have. It’s been fairly contradictory IMO. Enough for me to question if we REALLY know what we are doing at the position or just backing into justifications. -
I don’t wake up with these thoughts

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
Mikie2times replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Has the offense performed exceptionally in the divisional round or later? I would say largely, no. Has the offense performed in the most critical moments in these games? I would say certainly, no. Has the offense been let down by skill position players in these moments? I would say 100% yes. So when all you hear is we scored 30+ so many games in a row, all I hear is ya, but we can’t seem to be that dynamic when it matters most. The defense is CERTAINLY the biggest driver, but the perception that the offense doesn’t need help because it’s so prolific in most spots (outside the ones that matter most) is similar to me as the people that value our AFC East championships more than a Lombardi. With where this team is additions should be viewed as far as taking the next step. Similar to how the Rams behaved prior to the Super Bowl they won. -
This is the 2nd most disgusting post of the offseason. @HOUSE gets the first for his recent antics.

I don't know if we will be healthier again. More depth now though which we really needed although depth at LB scares the crap out of me.

I'm not going to get into the weeds too much here. As I think this conversation has digressed into "we suck" a bit too much from either perspective. I posted this yesterday showing how teams have used draft allocation since 2018. Drafting WR's at high rates doesn't mean you will be good. As it seems pretty clear looking at the top 5-10, that is often not the case. But just as clear, anybody in the area Buffalo is has a fairly developed WR room. Along with that, most of the teams we are chasing are at least ranked in the middle area. They value the position and they keep deploying assets towards it. In that thread, you can also see DL and DB as two of the positions the most successful teams target. Which is exactly what we did this draft. Further, when you roll up all three positions (WR/DL/DB) you do see some very good teams near the top. So to me basically everybody is right on these takes. The DL and DB position groups needed help and good teams stock up in these positions. But good teams also draft WR pretty consistently, that is unless they have a fairly stacked roster. Throwing in everything combined, if I had to say what three positions appear most important to focus on as far as what the better teams in this league are doing, it's WR/DL/DB in no order. We should be drafting at least one if not two WR's a year until the room is filled out. That isn't insulting Beane, that's just saying what it appears like most of our higher level competitors do. At the very least, what most of them do if they don't already have that position filled.

Remember the Run ‘n Shoot Offense?
Mikie2times replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Colemans natural position is big slot. Makes sense if he needs a little help getting off the ball. Just a crowded area for our WR's. The first half of the comeback was an absolute clinic. One of the best I ever recall seeing. But classic case of systems failing when competition increased. It was hard for them to protect leads. -
The thud you hear at the start is his sack hitting the table. Its how he enters a room now.

What positions we prioritize in the draft: Part 2
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly man, I write plenty of good things about this team and things to just better understand the team statistically. My opinions are how I feel. It’s not some sort of agenda (as it appears to be with you) labeling anybody who doesn’t kiss our leaderships feet as a “non fan hater”. Keep it on football and the content, not me. -
What positions we prioritize in the draft: Part 2
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
One trend sort of stands out, allocation to WR/DL/DB as the 3 primary. Look at the leaderboards in that area. -
I did this pre draft and here is the post draft update: I took Fitzgerald-Spielberger average pick value for trade purposes (1st pick is worth 3000, 2nd 2649) all the way to the end of the draft. I then evaluated by position how much each team spent as a % of the total pick value they were allotted since 2018. While not perfect, I'm attempting to get some statistical way to represent what we have spent at each position in draft capitol in relation to other teams. Again, this is as a % of that teams total capitol, so it's looking more for how you spent what you had, not how much did you have. These are the rankings by position with the heat graph below.

This seems to be a really interesting grouping not only thru training camp but also when Ogunjobi and Hoecht (can we please give nicknames?) return. It would seem Hoecht could be more of a hybrid as far as position allocation, so another layer with that factored in. How many do we typically keep each year is also not something I'm 100% on. So I'm curious what some people think as far as what they expect this to look like out of camp and what they expect this to look like when those two players return. Do you see any surprise cuts? I have heard Jones and Carter being tossed around, but those appear to be the likely 1 tech DT's? I know Ogunjobi can play that spot as well. Perhaps even Walker although most his draft feedback has said that isn't necessarily who he is.

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
Mikie2times replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
One group of posters is happy for how far this team has come and is reasonably content with where our franchise is. Another group recognizes our achievements but will always be critical until we win a Super Bowl. Every argument about this team is based on that, including this one. -

It's in the middle IMO. But point taken. -

Yup. Very few paths to winning it all that don't require the offense to have a few clutch drives.
