I was worried about that as well. The year before last, our offense put up some nice numbers. It was the D that lost games.

I'm mostly concerned about first team offense with emphasis on the line. We've seen the defense and the special teams play well so far this preseason. The offense is the one unit I've not really seen click yet. Run defense has been a bit weak too, I guess. Mostly that line, though... want to see it all click. I know the first team won't get much time tonight (and rightfully so), though. -Jeff

Ok... so there's this big.. um... STORM coming through Florida, right? Check. We've got a data center in Miami, or near it. Right in the path of the storm I gather. The employees are GETTING OUT with their families. So what do we do? We solicit brave souls from ATLANTA and ship them down to FLORIDA to wait out the storm IN THE DATA CENTER that is IN THE PATH of the DAMN STORM. They're not going AFTERWARDS because they don't want to be denied access to the Miami area should the storm wreck stuff. Is it me, or is this just STUPID? I've been joking about it all day... that our IT staff is going down to "protect Florida." (Coincidentally, we fired half the Miami staff yesterday as part of a end-of-the-fiscal-year reduction in force.) They're going to boot systems back up should they loose power. Ok. Pfft. Ak. Stupid! So a week from now when it comes BACK ON you can reboot something. Nice.

I've got your back on this one. I'm GLAD to see it go. Living down south, summers are usually chock full of days above 90 degrees and 90% humidity. I think it's simply horrible. You'll break a sweat just taking the dog outside or getting the mail. I'm looking forward to the 30's, 40's, and 50's the fall and the winter will bring. Summers up north are different. Lower humidity. Highs 78 - 84. Beautiful when there's no rain. I just can't stomach these Georgia summers. -Jeff

I think a lot of it is just an act put on to whip a crowd of teenagers into a frenzy. For those of you complaining about all of the Rap/R&B sucking... I agree. But take a look at the rock groups they had... wow. Freaking horrible. That one dude sounded horrible. He couldn't even hit the high "notes." Not to mention that "sleep all day, stayin' up all niiiiiight" junk. Wow. All of the guitar driven stuff coming out now sounds EXACTLY the same. Weak riffs highlighted by guys who all try to sound like stereotypical punk singers. I can proudly say that I didn't know who 75% of the people on there were. I found it funny that in 5 years, they'll all be no names again. I can't say that I think any of those "artists" treasure their moon-men awards. It's just a giant MTV publicity stunt. I've said it before around here... I've started going BACKWARDS to find good music. The "2000-2009" years are shaping up to be another 1980's when it comes to music. There is plenty of stuff around still new to me. I don't need this new crap.

I caught it about half way through... I got so sick of... "MIIIAAMMMIII What up MIIAAMMIIII!!!! In the house!!" All of the "your city rocks" crap. Was painfully obvious it was geared toward teenagers.
