Just wondering... do many of you have neighbors blowing crap up now? I live in a development off of a somewhat "rural" road. Down on that road I can hear all kinds of fireworks and whatnot - my development is quiet. Any of you have it going on? Never happened when I lived in Buffalo at New Years, but happens here.

Yup, that's why I cancelled it a month or so ago. Still get NFL net, just no Empire. Without hockey it's the same ESR four times a day plus infomercials. Hell, even with hockey it always just says "call 1800blahblahblah to order center ice." not worth it.

In a nutshell... If you're going to access from more than one computer, IMAP. Otherwise - POP. There are other benefits/drawbacks, but that's my preference. If given the chance, I IMAP everything just because I know the mail servers that I connect to are backed up.... I'm not so good about keeping my email backed up.

No it's not. Half of the folks I went to school with were into music like this. It was cooler to be into something that was "original" than to rock to the latest ghetto noise or Nirvana screech. There were a lot of kids, usually 14 and up, into The Beetles, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, The Dead, the list goes on and on. While I completely disagree that it's a recipe for a beating, I do think it's important to let them form their own tastes. Give 'em gift certifications for CD's, or take 'em to the store yourself. But make sure you show 'em your collection too - let them like it on their own. -Jeff
