  1. To everyone getting upset, Beane knew who KC was drafting. He clearly didn't want Worthy there, against my wishes and others. Now it's time to see who we would have taken at 28 anyhow (and get better draft capital tomorrow). I'm not ruling out another tradeback either...
  2. I thought Worthy would be a star with us, KC just got a great player. Beane obviously didn't feel the same, and they must have someone (or two) ranked higher or similar. Let's see who we take at 32. Getting into the 3rd round, at 95 is a great spot. Gives flexibility in Rd 2 to go alot of directions
  3. Agree, just thought Barton was almost a sure thing. Mims was there guy, I was told, so they stuck with drafting a LT (who can kick inside). So not knocking them for that, just shocked as Mims and Barton were very highly connected to Steelers.
  4. Steelers never thought Q Mitchell would be there.... This is between him and Barton I'm told
  5. I'd suspect DL for Rams and Steelers now to take Barton (Mims was there guy)
  6. I had doubts he's the "consensus" #4 receiver. He wasn't that high during season. I think this next tier of WRs is very good, but so diverse and specific scheme fits that will work for certain teams. Won't be shocked if Jax selects BTJ at 23, or if he slides to end of Rd 1 or early Rd 2. Going to be very good WRs when we pick, or if we move back
  7. Cincy and Rams make alot of sense, for DL picks. Value will certainly be there.
  8. To be fair, the offensive talent is WAY better at the top this year. I wouldn't come to any conclusion beyond that. QBs and OTs are always top of draft, difference this year is that the best pass rusher and best CB are ranked in the teens.
  9. We spent ALOT of time with Worthy, Coleman, and teammates at Texas & FSU. We shall see. I know the Franklin hype has been popular, but people forget how good Coleman was and obviously Worthy
  10. No way, although I hope for Bills case. Trubisky was a 1 year wonder, Maye could have been a high pick LY. He wasn't as good this year, but some changes coaching/Wrs occurred that contributed. Maye / Herbert comps are pretty spot on.
  11. My Steeler insider is saying: 1. Steelers - going tackle, which I've mentioned a few times 2. Bills - not sure I trust him on this, but he's hearing Keon Coleman
  12. Agree on Allen, but we need to fit him under contract "immediately" upon trading for him. Unless Min wants to wait until after June 1st....
  13. Let's play this out.... how do we afford JJ ATM? We don't have the cap space.
  14. Marvin Harrison Jr - Cardinals Rome Odunze - Giants Ladd McConkey - Patriots Brian Thomas Jr. - 49ers Xavier Worthy - Dallas Bonus Bills pick: Keon Coleman
  15. Not necessarily to Buffalo.... Keon Coleman. He was ranked right on the cusp, as a top 5 WR during/after this college season. Then he runs a slow forty at the Combine, and others jumped ahead. I think there's a chance he will go toward the end of Rd1
  16. Great work @GunnerBill as always. I've got one team connection, Steelers, and Mims is the guy from what im told. Re: Bills, im really hoping Worthy and Thomas are on the board at our pick. At 28, or a small tradeup, to see who they truly value more. I am in the Worthy camp myself, and draft/sign another WR later. Should be a fun night. Thanks for all you've shared/work on draft prep
  17. Fantastic read/write up. I've watched a lot of Texas games and re studied videos of Worthy and Mitchell. I'd move Worthy to Mitchell's spot, and Mitchell at top of tier 4 (#1 talent but more risks). Worse case with Worthy, you get an excellent #2/complementary weapon. Agree he's not breaking alot of tackles, but he has the grit/toughness that he doesn't shy away. He played through injuries at Texas at a high level, he's hard working and dedicated to his craft. He gets the most separation, behind the 3 top players, by far. He'll be Zay Flowers as a rookie, without the attitude. Mitchell is also a great player, but his game makes me hesitant (at least Rd 1). Talent is there, not sure how dedicated he is/has the work ethic to be successful in the NFL. I like his size/speed/route running, but concerns above + I don't think he gets off jams/plays through contact as well as you'd expect for his size. Maybe he's the next Pickens, maybe he's a bust. He's the highest risk/reward at WR IMO. I'd also put Polk alot higher. He's easily going to be a solid #2 as a floor, his ceiling isn't as high as some, but he is a very safe pick.
  18. Agree on how Mike Brown is, but this is a different day and age from 5+ years ago. This stuff hits the main media guys and it's usually a new contract/long term deal OR they're shipped out. We shall see over next couple days. I'd think Cincy would want immediate compensation in this year's draft. Those are great players, but Cincy would be in position to draft replacements/value where they are/could be. Carolina trading #33 for Higgins makes alot of sense. Tre, I think there's a decent chance he could get his deal re-done.
  19. Worthy has been my "hope" since the Fall. He's gonna be an excellent player for whoever drafts him. Not sure Beane trades up to double dip, but I'm certainly more than fine if that's our combo. Perfect complementary types and could give us a very young/affordable group of playmakers for multiple years. Definitely think we need 2 WRs. Javon Baker or Tez Walker are potential fall back options at 60, or moving back from 60 to acquire more picks on Day 2/very early day 3.
  20. If we stay put at 28, draft Chop, then trade up in the 2nd for Franklin/another WR high on their board them I'm fine with it. Chop has an excellent get off, and DE/pass rusher is a need. Just not as much as WR. Good chance Chop is gone by 28, and I will be mad if they trade up more than a few spots to draft him.
  21. Cincy would be wise to keep them happy, but this likely ends with trades tomorrow night or Day2
