  1. Really? What stats? 27th in sacks(8) last year. 25 total in 4 years. Ok I should have said struggles to be a consistent average starter. He flashes at times and then disappears for large portions of the season. Doesn't mean he can't get better. Having a better DE on the other side will help. I 100% agreed with picking up his option and the contract extension he got was fair for both sides. All love man!
  2. Tell Beane, "there is no tomorrow". Start using those draft picks to get a decent safety and another pass rusher.
  3. Totally bullish! It's ok to discuss the weaknesses of the team without thinking they are falling off a cliff. Not sure why the board can't comprehend this. With Allen they can compete with anyone. I still like a lot of the off-season moves. Yes safety and CB remain an issue. We would all feel a lot better if Hairston was looking like a lock down first round draft pick. Lots to worry about with White and the current group of safeties, but the pass rush can be better. Milano and Bernard are healthy. Bring on the Ravens!
  4. Oh I 100% agree. Beane is trying and hopefully Bosa stays healthy. Go ahead Take the bait. I will start. Over under - Did he fall down more times in the championship game than he had total sacks last year? He is terribly inconsistent. He is not a bad player but he is not great. Thus average.
  5. Um he was bad last year. Its not an overreaction to yesterday. It's a rationale evaluation of a player not good enough to play but has an emotional tie to the coach, his teammates, and the community. Its time to move on
  6. Keep Moore. Put Samuel on IR designated to possibly return. That gives Moore 6 weeks to show if he can play. If not cut him and activate a fully healthy Samuel.
  7. As the leader of the anti-McD contingent on here this is going to sound odd. But the scheme is not nearly as big a problem as the personnel. My main issue has always been the lack of size in the front 7. All across the front 7 they are outmuscled. Look at Eagles DL compared to the Bills. It's a joke. Sadly the only guy that had size was Edmunds and he had the instincts of a dung beetle. The other issues obviously is that Beane and McDermott have consistently failed to find a dominant pass rusher. They failed to get Miller a year early. The draft has mostly been a disappointment. Oliver and Rousseau struggle to be average starters in the NFL. They need a dominant pass rusher. There are ways to get one, if Beane is willing to mortgage the future.
  8. There will be an incredible amount of emotion around cutting Hamlin. He's just terrible and its obvious he needs to go. He's a wonderful survival story and he turned a terrible near tragedy into an amazing positive national story and education opportunity. It's time to move on though. Bills can not afford the distraction of cutting him after the next game and in the leadup to week 1. Do it tomorrow or Tuesday. Then start working the phones and move a reserve OL for a backup safety that at least belongs in the NFL.
  9. Again no one in their right mind cares about how the team did. It was about depth player development and keeping starters healthy. Even McD said the back ups basically sucked. Bishop sucked. Hamlin sucked. Hancock made a few plays. This game pretty much affirms what many of us have been saying for a long time. The S spot is an absolute mess. To go from Poyer and Hyde to this is awful. This is the week to say goodbye to Hamlin. Get the emotion out of it now not the week of the Baltimore game. Bring back Douglas at least until Hairston is healthy. A week one CB room of White, Benford, Jackson, Strong and Codrington is a recipe for disaster. It was still 7-0 when most of the Bears starters were out. So I think what people are saying is that it was not Bears starters 28 - Bills backups 0. Again no one cares about the score. its the play of guys like Jackson and Hamlin and the rooke DL that is very concerning.
  10. People are not overreacting to what is happening. They are analyzing our backups many of which are projected to make the final 53 playing horribly. Guys that might need to play meaningful minutes are performing very poorly. Also seeing rookies get time against actual NFL players, not just a bunch of college kids.
  11. Why? The purpose is to see if these 2nd and 3rd stringers can play. So far it looks brutal
  12. No game plan ahs nothing to do with tackling and covering players. Nice play Hancock
  13. Flame away. Rasul Douglas is better than any backup CB on this team now and probably is still better than White.
  14. When are we allowed to worry he may be another 2nd round bust?
  15. Forcing season ticket holders to pay for this garbage is a crime
  16. Cmon man. He doesn't look fine. Hes terrible. Just like Codrington, he is only capable of playing special teams. At least he is a lot less expensive than Matakevich was.
  17. Andy Reid? I know sometimes I can't help myself. But he could line up at DT and still call plays on offense. He probably wouldnt be much worse than DQ was last year.
  18. Ive been saying that for years. 18 game schedule, 2 bye weeks, and no preseason games!
  19. SVP to IR Lundt makes 53 Van Demark traded This week they cut ties with Samuel and bring back Amare!!! Cant keep hoping that guy can stay healthy. Codrington keeps his return spot and they keep Shavers and 6 WRs for a 6 week tryout. If he doesn't produce then he gets cut for one of the PED cheat spots.
  20. If Lundt can show anything these next two games and play a little guard and Anderson if ok, SVP is looking at spending a year on IR
  21. So despite genetics making us all Bills fans, now AI is making sure of it!
  22. LOL apparently Chandler and I have the same YouTube preferences. I saw this today. It is longest TD runs at Highmark, thus home games from 1973 until now. So many interesting things in the background. Jim Donovan called two of those runs. He was a great play by play guy. RIP. The 1973 Simpson run recap was Pat Summerall. Bills started 4-1 and then he goes on to state they play Miami in the Orange Bowl to see if they are "for real". And of course they were not. They would go on to lose to Miami and finish in second place and out of the playoffs. Incredibly the Bills offense broke the record for most rushing yards in one season and of course OJ would go for 2003. But the passing offense produced only two 100 yard games all year. The next game he mentions, Bills only rushed for 75 yards and had net 1 yard passing. Absolutely mind blowing stats. Ferguson went 3 of 9 for 25 yards and gave up 20 yards on 3 sacks. Shaw also went 3 of 9 for 35 yards and gave up 6 sacks for 39 yards.
