I think the most impressive and crazy athletic only JA can do throw was the 20 yard dart to Cook while running to his left and throwing it at least 5 yards back to his right. The throw that was the most professional was the modified wheel (ran through the o-line instead of around the outside of the o-line) route over the shoulder arching pass to Johnson. That was just perfection. Probably the best touch deep throw he has ever made. That first pass to Johnson is so beautiful. However the route design is even better. Most up the field pass patterns like that by a RB go outside the OT and up the sideline. This one Johnson goes between the OT/OG and up the seam while angling toward the sideline. This keeps the LB flat footed at first and then allows Johnson to keep running away from him toward the sideline. Just a killer design. Not sure I've seen that route before. If other have let me know.

Josh Allen AFC Offensive POW Again (Week 15)!
Ethan in Cleveland replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Their best player is on IR and weren't they down their top 3 CBs?? I don't care either way. I'm not giving McDermott any injury excuses so Detroit gets none either. It's still 11 on 11. -
You think Reed would be in the HOF with Todd Collins, Jp Losman, and Doug Flutie??? You are living in nostalgia world. There is nothing wrong with that. We all loved the 1990s team. But let's remember these great players once won a AFC Championship game 10-7, and were noncompetitive in 3 of four SuperBowls.

1. Allen 2. Mahomes 3. Burrow 4. Herbert 5. Jackson 6. Stafford 7. Wilson 8. Kelly I loathe interceptions. I have Kelly 8th. Kelly threw 175 INTs in 11 seasons compared to 237 TDs. Russell Wilson has 109 INT in 13 seasons. Stafford has 187 INT but in 16 seasons and a near 2:1 TD/INT ratio and far far more yards Rodgers in his prime but not now Tua is more accurate but Kelly was better QB Dak is more prolific but Kelly was still better Jayden Daniels is amazing but not quite there yet... Purdy is a system guy. Never liked Kirk Cousins Baker is an interesting comparison. Both gunslingers. Both threw a lot of INTs. Kelly had more success with better teams. Kelly is still better but when Baker is on he is very good.

Why hasn't the Samuel signing worked?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably going to get flamed but if there is a second flaw (consistent deep ball being the other) in Josh's game it is these quick throws to WR screens. He really doesn't throw them well. He bounced a ball to Samuel in the Detroit game. It's almost like he doesn't have the ball fully gripped. These bad throws and Samuel's injuries have hurt him. Shakir took most of the Isiah McKenzie crossing routes. Just not much else for Samuel to do. -
Remember all the people that said the high number of interceptions didn't matter? Well look what happens when Josh plays a little safer! Nearly unstoppable offense. I will offer one critique. The slide at the Detroit 20 yard line. I understand he thought that was probably enough to win the game. In hindsight we know the defemse wasn't holding two three score leads. Hopefully in the playoffs he keeps churning for the endzone. He had two guys nearing him but they were both already chasing him at an angle. He probably gets at least ten more yards and maybe scores if he keeps running.

Yeah I hear you. After the 13 second game I'm sure most of us thought we had a superstar #2. Very good player while he was here. Just too inconsistent.

Might be higher but team would be worse. When did this offense explode? When they added Cooper and Shakir was healthy. Yeah I know no targets for Cooper this week but he had 14 last week. My guess is the defense is accounting for him and that has opened up things for others. Mack is producing 50% more than I thought hecwould, he is excellent in the run game, and appears to be a great locker room fit. Probably couldn't ask for a better FA singing for the cost.

Olympic Hurdles in 2028!

He made two perfect kicks and all his XPs under more pressure later in the game. It's all mental. He's a worry but far less of a worry than this defense.

Allen to X-Ray room (says he's fine; just being cautious)

When did 3 starters out become six or 7? -
Onside Kick Wasn’t as Crazy as You Think
Ethan in Cleveland replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand the decision and it is defensable. Not taking your timeouts on defense before the 2 min warning is not however. McDermott made same mistake against Rams. You control the clock on offense. Use timeouts on defense to save over 100 seconds of clock. Maybe save one if only down by a FG. But if down multiple scores you need time. -
Best Player in Bills History
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kelly was a very good QB but he's not close to a top 10 all time QB. He's closer to 20-25. OJ is still in the conversation for top 10 and possibly top 5 RB of all time. If you are talking Mount Rushmore of Bills players it's, Bruce, Allen, OJ, and Thurman Thomas in that order for me. -
Best Player in Bills History
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's still Bruce for me. He is in the conversation for best defensive player of all time with LT, Reggie White, Deion Sanders, Ronnie Lott, and Ed Reed. Josh has a few more seasons of greatness before he is considered a top 10 let alone top 5 all time QB. Talent wise he is as good as any QB to ever play. But to be the greatest he needs more post season success. -
He's been a very nice signing. His one year of 57 receptions remains his outlier but he's already exceeded his usual 17-19 receptions per year. He has great hands. He is a willing and capable blocker. He is a much much better version of Kumerow. He is a near perfect 5th WR. Hope they bring him back. He can play a few more years doing the little things. Trying to say he is better than Gabe Davis is not true. Davis had between 35-48 receptions every year he was with Buffalo. Davis was far more productive but aside know had inconsistent hands. He could make the amazing catch and drop the routine ones.

He had 14 targets last week. But I get your point. They are so dangerous now with legit threats everywhere. Only Samuel is flailing at this point.
