  1. Andre was great but never was in the conversation for best WR in the league. He never had back to back 1000 yard seasons. Diggs is better. Moulds was physically better than Reed but had ***** QBs. I'm not trying to take anything away from Reed. He was amazing but Diggs is better in every way except run after catch.
  2. I just read his base is $1.9M. As others have pointed out a "quality" backup QB probably is the same cost. As another posted pointed out, if Beane had done this and wasted 22 draft spots the board would rightly explode. Eagles got fleeced.
  3. When does the Bills brass get tired of McDermott's defense choking in games??? McDermott throwing Diggs under the boss was the lowest of the low for this loser coach. I would take ten Diggs over one McDermott I am trying not to get emotional but the people that what to run Diggs out of town really piss me off. Diggs is the best WR in franchise history and people want to run him out of town. I've said this before but he is the only one to stand up to McDermott and his joke of an OC. I love him for that!
  4. No. You can't trade dead cap. The Browns just inherited the bad contract and got a high draft pick for doing it. They had the cap space to absorb the stupid salary.
  5. They dropped 22 spots and now have a backup on a 1st round pick salary. Waste
  6. Agree. He is awful. Move makes total sense from Steelers perspective
  7. Don't understand this move from Eagles perspective? Only way it pays off is if Hurts misses seom time and Pickett looks good and then you trade him. All they did was lose draft position and gain nothing. What am I missing?
  8. Oh I know Josh missed him multiple times. I think he can easily catch 100 balls next year even with a more balanced offense with Cook, Kincaid, and Knox.
  9. Be dropped his contract and hasn't signed it yet.
  10. Yes. There hasn't been a RB that has moved the needle in the playoffs in what a decade or more. If Cook gets hurt they will just need yo adjust.
  11. Maybe maybe not. I admit I have a soft spot for Diggs because he had the balls to call out McDermott on his choice of OC. He has more heart and drive than most on the team. But north of 30 for a WR can be a quick downhill trajectory. So you may be right. I'm really hoping he has a big bounce back year. He's been one of my favorites.
  12. That's certainly possible if there is a run on WR. Might also depend on whether Diggs was injured or not. They likely have a better idea than us why his numbers dropped. If 2024 is his last year in Buffalo I have to believe they draft WR in the first round.
  13. Normally I am not an advocate of drafting "BPA". I think most GMs that say they do lie anyways. At best it is usually BPA at a position of need. However this year may be the year to just sit back and let the draft come to you. As of today, the only starting spot open is Safety. That may yet be addressed in FA but even if not they can take one on day 2 with a little maneuvering. They can justify drafting backups and future replacements at most levels. I'd be perfectly happy if Beane traded around to get the deep speed WR with size this team lacks. Then just take BPA the rest of the way. You could make an argument for just about every position even taking a backup QB that might have trade value in a year or two. OL, DL, RB, DB, and you can always use a backup LB for teams. Pick up a punter on day 3.
  14. Dodson played better than I thought he would, but I didn't think he was playing as well as PFF was grading him. Just have to hope Milano comes back to form and/or Williams is ready for more minutes Maybe at least to start the season Milano and Williams platoon to ease Milano back into things.
  15. McDermott did multiple times
  16. Take the best punter in round 6. WR or Edge in round 1. Those are the only positions that make sense.
  17. I admit I had to look him up and watch a few highlights. Read every post. I think the consensus is he is a solid possible upgrade over Davis. Agree with others I am still taking a WR at 28 or a trade down. Still need a DT or edge in round two. Maybe play the long game now and see if they can get a safety on the cheap.
  18. Who was throwing to this guy vs who was throwing to Davis?
  19. Floyd gets replaced in the second round. He was good but faded and was non existent after Halloween. Settle is terrible. Phillips was a nonfactor. They will find another DT body at some point - draft or scrap heap. Can't be much worse than Settle and Phillips were
  20. I'm fine with trading down. That is what I would do. Just saying if a top 3 WR was there I could live with going after him and giving up next years first. Defense will be fine and better than last year. Poyer and Hyde were not good. Milano will be back. DQ will be there all year. Bernard will have more experience. Miller can't be worse. Rousseau will be in a contract year. Go WR in the first and Edge in 2nd and they will be fine.
  21. What major problems in the secondary? The top 3 CBs and Johnson are all back. White was never going to start again. Dane was never anything special. Poyer and Hyde were bad lady year. Rapp is probably a small upgrade. That leaves one starting salary that can one later or via the draft. Now if you said edge, I would agree with you. I loathe bringing back Epenesa. Lastly I generally agree they waste money on special teams. I would have not signed Lewis or this WR. Both are no better than an UDFA. I like the LB as a cheaper upgrade over Matakevich.
  22. Can't see going 28 to 10. But if the right WR is there I would be fine giving up next year's 1 to get around 12-14. We are most likely going to be picking at 27-32 next year. So it's not really a very valuable #1. The guy would have to be special though. Otherwise I actually advocate moving down in a deep draft for WR.
  23. Yeah its that whole winning thing that he struggles with...career record 78-70. Allen's is 63-31.
  24. Solid move. One of McDermott's finest moments last season was letting this kid run out the clock against the Steelers. The game was not over but he let the kid get meaningful snaps in front of the home crowd. Rewarding a guy like this for hard work is one of McDermott's finest qualities. He should be a very very good RB3 and maybe push to be RB2.
