I've advocated for getting rid of divisons for years. But not so much because of the possibility of a division winner with a losing record making the playoffs. More so I want to play all the other teams more frequently. Keep the conferences. Play every team every two years. Now with 17 games a year there would be some repetitive games each year. You could keep those as traditional rivals - say like old division rivals or make new ones. You could keep Buffalo vs AFC East opponet every year or you could instead make new ones like in state rivalries Dallas and Houston Stop punishing first place teams having to play other division winners. Stop rewarding bottom feeders with easy schedules the following year.

It's been talked about before in other threads. Pretty rare. Like 6 or 7 times and at least two of those times the team lost and was out of the playoffs. 75 and overcast with 94% humidity down here right now and you can feel it. Probably should drop as the day goes. Hope the boys are well hydrated.

I think he revealed two things. Both those teams might have some tendencies but I think he also specifically said hit them for 4 quarters. Ie they are physically and possibly mentally soft. I will give McD some credit here which I am usally not apt to do. I think the D is playing the most physical football they have played since McD arrived. Guys are really hitting and tackling hard. The defense still has mental lapses but I do think they can really hit guys. Dodson, Rapp, Oliver, Douglas, Poyer(still), Floyd, Jones and Joseph are all very physical defenders.

No but I suspect they will not run Allen much this game. Maybe not even QB sneak it. Remember his preferred sneak is to the left leading with that left shoulder he got a stinger. Hell you could have Gabe Davis or Knox take the handoff and do the tush push with Allen safely on the sideline.

I agree. I love Josh but taking the easy 5 yard completion is still a challenge for him. And he is actually awful at the WR screen pass. He never delivers it accurately. They should strip it from the playbook.

Keep an extra guy in to block. Give Josh time to carve up their bad secondary. Then let Cook sneak out of the backfield for a few shots downfield Josh missed Cook wide open on the sideline last week. Josh has hit that pass twice before one for a TD and one a dropped TD.

Diggs had a great chance to draw a PI last week if he just stops running and let's the defender crash into him on the underground ball Josh threw while scrambling. The defender had no idea where the ball was. Davis has had at least two other such plays where he makes little to no effort to come back to an underthrown ball.

The entire roster does not matter. There are 10-15 guys at any given time that can be replaced by street free agents. Kyle Allen would not win 4 games with this roster. Make no mistake if not for Allen, Beane and McDermott would have been gone two years ago.

I'd argue Huntley is better than any of the Steelers' QBs and he has playoff football experience. I think Ravens win with their backups!

This is simple and not so simple The #2 seed is worth going all out. That said if Tua or Josh are really nursing injuries and the playoff spot is locked up you can make an argument ( a weak one) for resting them. Again the #2 seed is just home games not a bye week so it's not as valuable as before.
