  1. Wait...KC is already 3-1. So they're going to win Sunday?
  2. From the above posts, it looks like the Jags are all comfy and adjusted to London, while the Bills are getting there at 6:30 in the moring when they normally would go to sleep. Great. And we are supposed to be the home team with an advantage?? Also, anyone know where the above Jaguars practice field is? It's definitely not London. Looks like is in the middle of nowhere. And which one is Press Taylor?
  3. Old thread, I know, but I just wanted to report it happened just now, on a desktop using Edge and Windows 7. When I clicked "2" at the bottom of page one, it took me to the bottom of the next page on this thread: This problem is unfixable, but occurs only fleetingly, so it is not a big deal. It is an issue that must be tolerated.
  4. Yep! I associate Karras with Butkus too--both were big guys in shows featuring unconventional families. There were a lot of former football players on TV shows in the 80's, like Butkus, Karras, Fred Dryer ("Hunter") and Merlin Olsen ("Father Murphy").
  5. I remember him only from the TV sitcom My Two Dads, but he was a legend and well respected. Such a shame.
  6. I agree with most of your post, buy he did call his teammate fat. I wonder how the teammate feels.
  7. Dolphins.com redirects to the Miami Dolphins official page. So "[name]@dolphins.com" is a valid NFL email.
  8. It's a Mike McDaniel parody account. You have to look closely. I was fooled too at first: "@MikMcDaniel".
  9. Good addition! I will try to add the Australia/New Zealand listings each week, but no promises. Here they are for this week: Friday: CHI @ WAS Monday: London: JAC vs. BUF Early: NYG @ MIA (ESPN2), BAL @ PIT Late: PHI @ LAR SNF: DAL @ SF Tuesday: GB @ LV
  10. At least you get to watch division rivals. Being out west, I get Pittsburgh at Baltimore and Philadelphia at LA Rams. I guess those are (slightly) better games. So, sucks to be you? Sorry my friend. :-)
  11. Eichenberg uses the twitter handle @pumposi. Almost every one of his recent tweet replies is defending himself, LMAO!
  12. Who? Neil Reynolds? I know Phoebe Schecter was a former Bills coach...must go well in the studios, lol!
  13. A few notes: 1. Rochester is getting Baltimore at Pittsburgh instead of joining the rest of NY state and airing New Orleans at New England. 2. WKTV-2 in Utica switched from KC-MIN to NYJ-DEN from their preliminary choice. 3. FOX switched much of the country (including Erie) to their late game: Philadelphia at the Los Angeles Rams, which has now become their main game, distribution-wise (it was previously the Giants at Miami). Markets that switched from the preliminary schedule were: All northern California Nevada Oregon Washington Alaska Boise, ID western Montana DC Baltimore Virginia Erie, PA Beckley, WV Mississippi all Louisiana (except New Orleans and Baton Rouge) Knoxville, Jackson, and Tri-Cities, TN (Tri-Cities is Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol in northeast Tennessee ad southwest Virginia) Evansville, IN 4. UK fans (even the Miami ones) are complaining on the twitter that Miami is being shown again! 5. It is unusual for Sky Sports NFL in the UK to choose to show a 9:05 PM BST game instead of 9:25 PM BST.

  15. I'm actually from Dunkirk. Dunkirk Dave is their famous groundhog. Bob Will, a special education teacher in middle school there raised him: https://www.dunkirkdave.com/ Here he is eating a pumpkin pie on Groundhog Day this year: https://www.facebook.com/groundhogdunkirkdave/posts/559630579515195

What's next? "The timing couldn't have been worse. Referee Shawn Smith's crew was struggling Thursday night, hours after we learned that the NFL is now willing to fire officials during the season for poor performance. Smith's crew initially enforced a penalty incorrectly on the opening kickoff of the Houston Texans' 42-24 victory over the Miami Dolphins. It missed an obvious trip on a first-quarter punt, called a questionable unnecessary-roughness penalty that gave the Dolphins a first down, and took away the catch of the year by Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins because of a mild push-off. The natural question for fans, players and coaches alike: Would Smith and/or his crew be fired?" [end] Good link for referee biases and teams that are screwed over yearly: https://time2play.com/blog/referee-bias-in-the-nfl/ Of the 24 NFL crews, Shawn Smith is the 11th most aggressive referee: "Additionally, Shawn Smith was the most associated with roughing the passer penalties (68.4%)"
  17. I was shocked when I read this today. He was a former Pro Bowl tight end for the Patriots and 49ers. He won a SB with San Franciso in 1984. I remember watching him as a child in the 80's. He died in a plane crash in Lake Placid. He was an avid aviator. Boston is getting hit hard in the past few days (this and Tim Wakefield). WTF?
  18. He did three NFL Network games last year (Munich and two Saturday). Not sure how good he is as an announcer.
