  1. The cheapest thing I saw was a woman going to Fuddruckers and after having eaten (no leftovers), she went and got some of the lettuce and tomatoes in the self-serve burger topping bar and took them home in a napkin for later. The most wasteful thing I saw was a woman at Panera Bread taking one bite from a salad entre and then leaving it after chatting with her friend. [So I guess you have $10 or so to blow? Must be nice.] --- Second post [I hate when these are merged and the topic is so different and not a response to a quote]: No non-Buffalo fan cares about missing this game since our opponent is the Chargers and it's a Saturday night and everyone hates Collinsworth. Watch the nation freak out though when it's the Wild Card Saturday night and people are scrambling to do something about it, especially if it's a good matchup.
  2. Man, I just went over to the Chargers forum to see them dissing the Bills, and then report back here. But, the attitude there is resignation. In fact, they want to play their young guys and have them lose to improve their draft status. They said if the Raiders can hang 63 on them, imagine what Buffalo can do. The spread went from (-10) to (-12) for Buffalo, and one guy said he'd be all over than and give us even more at (-20)! But this comment made me laugh: "You know the season is in the books, when the pregame thread isnt stickied, lol..." https://www.thepowderblues.com/forum/forum/los-angeles-chargers-forum-nfl-forum-padres-forum/the-los-angeles-chargers-forum/1592371-bills-at-chargers-10-pregame-discussion-wk-16
  3. There would be plenty of savings for the networks. I'd imagine many would do it for a case of beer and bragging rights, lol! Speaking of that, it's rumored that in Hulk Hogan's first match in 1979 against Harry Valdez, poor Harry was paid exactly that way: with a case of beer: [Ok, sorry, I am making that up, but it sounded good!]
  4. Note the beginning of the video: Buffalo dominated the NFL that year. We led the NFL in 3rd-down efficiency, total defense, and sacks allowed. We were 5-2 against teams with winning records. We beat San Diego, Oakland, LA, Pittsburgh, and New England. Only a fluke play against San Diego in the playoffs in the last-minute cost us the game.
  5. NBC experimented with an announcer-less game in Week 16 of 1980 (NYJ-MIA) on Saturday, December 20, 1980, a few days before Christmas in a meaningless final game. [Some wish they would do that now with Chris Collinsworth.]
  6. And ESPN+ too for the international game they had this year.
  7. Your response made me laugh out loud. Yeah, his reply didn't really say anything.
  8. If your D just ended the 4th, better to let them rest in OT while your O gets the ball first.
  9. One more thing I forgot to mention: the Peacock game (and TNF games too) is on NFL+ on your phone.or tablet, but not TV. For your TV you need Prime. Maybe that is why they are asking for a Prime account. But NFL+ does advertise all your local and primetime games are watchable on mobile devices if you are a paid subscriber to NFL+. Otherwise you can watch NFL+ but you gave authenticate your cable provider or Prime. https://id.nfl.com/subscriptions/select/nflplus "NFL+ $6.99/month TV, PC, PHONE, & TABLET NFL Network Live Game Audio Live and On-Demand Offseason Content And More! PHONE & TABLET Live Local and Primetime Games (including Playoff Games and Super Bowl LVII)" https://www.nfl.com/plus/learn-more "NFL+: Watch Patriots vs. Broncos on December 24th at 8pm ET LIVE on NFL Network"
  10. If your D is gassed, better to get the ball first and let them rest then.
  11. No problem. FWIW, you probably know this already, but you can also watch TNF free with Twitch on your phone or tablet, and then use a TV app to get it to your TV.
  12. There's a "watch" arrow icon in the bottom. So are you not able to watch NFL Network games on your phone with NFL+? I am trying to do further research on this as I don't have NFL+. This is what their website says: https://id.nfl.com/subscriptions/select/nflplus "NFL+ $6.99/month TV, PC, PHONE, & TABLET NFL Network Live Game Audio Live and On-Demand Offseason Content And More! PHONE & TABLET Live Local and Primetime Games (including Playoff Games and Super Bowl LVII)" https://www.nfl.com/plus/learn-more "NFL+: Watch Patriots vs. Broncos on December 24th at 8pm ET LIVE on NFL Network" This reddit thread seems to indicate NFL+ shows all local and primetime games on your phone or tablet:
  13. American Forces Network schedule for Week 16: The Peacock-exclusive Bills-Chargers game will not air live on AFN. It will air at 6 AM Eastern on AFN Sports. Bengals-Steelers will air on AFN Sports, however, live. As for Sunday, AFN Sports has Lions-Vikings, Cowboys-Dolphins and Patriots-Broncos. Sports2 has Browns-Texans and Jaguars-Buccaneers. Prime Atlantic has Colts-Falcons and Cardinals-Bears. On Monday, the NFL tripleheader will be on Sports2, due to AFN Sports having the NBA quintupleheader.
  14. Also note that while the NFL is king in the US, many countries are choosing to cover the Christmas Day NBA games on their ESPN/FOX networks, as basketball is huge abroad (except in the UK). So, for example, Australia and New Zealand, which are not showing the Christmas Day day games (except on DAZN). And also Brazil: : And Mexico: Sweden and Norway are showing only the LV-KC Christmas Day day game on TV4 Play & TV2 Sport X.
  15. Yeah, FOX is unfortunately steering many of the competitive AFC markets to that game. They want more yes on that leading into their main late game. It is a good game (two winning teams fighting for the NFC North) but many people feel the same as you. The problem is Atlanta, who, despite currently fighting for the NFC South title, has a losing record. And the FOX audience is still NFC oriented, having covered them for all these years. AFC teams like Indy are treated as a step-child.
  16. You should be able to watch TNF on your phone or tablet. That is how they are broadcasting the Bills game Saturday.
  17. 18. But you don't get the NFL Christmas games there on Boxing Day (unless you have DAZN), since ESPN s showing NBA all day!
  19. Wasn't there someone from Washington who was supposed to come here last year, but reneged? Someone here called him McKittrick I think too.
  20. What about this: Josh Allen?
  21. Gotta hand it to the Brits; they have a unique sense of humor! [These are from the NFL UK twitter...too cumbersome to post all the images I have below as tweets since they are replies to one another]
  22. James Cook did not win Player of the Week in the UK. Sigh...
