Nextmanup replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a LONG way to go, but someone needs to light a fire under the team's ass...or this WILL be a blow out. Need to get on top of this NOW. -

I'm surprised McKenzie didn't complain on that one. He seemed to take it pretty well. -

Why talk radio is better with NO callers…
Nextmanup replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
I enjoy callers, when they are intelligent people and make interesting comments. What I don't like are stupid people. -
Of the upright! Then off the crossbar! Then a bounce....and it went out. I feel for those guys! That was an awesome kick from 61. Would have been good from 63 I bet....had it just bounced in. The camera work on the live shot was horrible. All of the exciting part was literally out of frame. Nice work camera guy.

And if we are honest, Chad's natural body and talent (which makes up 98% of what you need) is just not enough. There are a million OUTSTANDING athletes in this country who never touch the NFL, despite being standouts their entire lives and great athletes relative to the general population. Why do they fail? Just not quite big enough, tall enough, strong enough, fast enough, talented enough. The guys in the NFL truly are the ultra elite of the elite. And Chad just ain't in that group.

And that's a City of thing, not Town of thing.

Mike, it's shocking how many dull knives post here. I blame it on the folding of the Bills message board. When that happened, we got a massive influx of new people, and the board's IQ was lowered by about 40 points.

Last week, Eric Wood said that as word gets around the league of what Wilkins did, he will quickly become generally hated everywhere. Or words to that effect.

To the OP: I think I have an idea of what you were going for, but it didn't work. Keep your day job.

NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
Nextmanup replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great, sounds like the NFLPA has already thrown in the towel on this one and is content with a change to the rule. I worried that their "investigation" would be half-assed. Welp, don't look for any more heads to roll! And that doctor really was the scapegoat! Thoroughly dissatisfying outcome! -
OK, but how do you quantify "Success" and "innovation?" Win %? Most SB wins? Most winning seasons or something? If you are going to go by hard statistical data, you don't need to ask anyone what they think; you just have to look at the data. How in the world would you conclude coach 6 is correctly 6th, and that the 7th guy was correctly behind him, but just, and not as far behind him as 8? That's what I meant when I said "how would you rate this stuff?" It's a question that has no answer--but I guess that's part of the fun!

Your post here is just 100% dead on the money. Not only do I agree that Belichick did not "cheat," but I would argue that is not even debatable. As you say, studying the rules to find gray areas that can be exploited to your benefit is not cheating. It's called being smart. Formula One motor racing teams have armies of engineers and technical people that are paid many millions of dollars each year to do exactly what Belichick did. It's an accepted part of the sport and finding a rule to exploit to you advantage might be the difference between winning the championship and not. Only in football and Bills land would this be thought of "cheating."

Xavier Rhodes placed on Practice Squad injured list
Nextmanup replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does this not defeat the entire point of acquiring the guy? And would we not now need to go find another player and sign him as well? The more things change, the more they stay the same!
