I think it’s fair to be critical of josh when the offense struggles because he is in control of it and the one that impacts it the most. It’s his job to make it work, fair or not. That includes the running game.

I disagree, his recognition and anticipation are not great. flaw might be the wrong word. Weakness is what I meant

Josh is a great but flawed quarterback. All his physical tools are ideal. He has, and still can (a lot of the time), rely heavily on these tools. He hasn’t had to be a student of the game beyond what is normal (for starting nfl quarterbacks). If he wants to go to the next level he has to develop this aspect of his game. He has to make his changeup as good as his fastball if you will. These shortcomings are also on coaching. The coordinator and the qb are a package. These criticisms are in the context of josh already being a great nfl quarterback.

Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously

We must’ve had waiver priority -
Mccaffery isn’t going to make it through the whole season, he takes too many shots.

It’s the NFL so the margins are thin to begin with, and even thinner when you’re talking about the nuanced differences between the best of the best and the teams one tier below. the niners are on the top tier and the bills are one below but the bills are capable of beating anyone if they play their “A” game. the niners are more likely to play their A game but that doesn’t make them unbeatable.
-
Bills probably win against the niners 3 of 10 times. Niners probably blow out the bills 3 of 10 and win by <10 4 of 10.

As we all hate on Ken Dorsey today let’s remember

I’m curious what % of the plays buffalo calls are unique for the team they are playing. -
Sure they do, used to be more popular. See Randall Cunningham

Josh still struggles with putting some loft/touch on a variety of throws. One example was the first touchdown. He rifled the ball to digs when he had the entire back of the endzone. he doesn’t throw the most receiver-friendly ball

Some weird cross between Dilfer and Brady. It’s not like we’re on Sunday night football anytime soon
-
Part of the issue is a large percentage of people use the term quarterback interchangeably with thrower. A comprehensive evaluation of a quarterback is way more complex than that. so, is he a golden armed god? No. Is he a good quarterback? Yes

Mccafferey isn’t going to survive the whole season (healthy)

Go back to the start of this conversation and you’ll see that was the original point

You think that’s a positive

5-12 on 3rd down, <22 mins t.o.p, one first down in the first 4 drives. Other stats from the game.

Because even with all the injuries they played as well as the Frazier defenses

Got a new version of josh today i’m going to call “corporate josh”. Corporate josh is risk adverse but doesn’t do the little things that win games, like scrambling for a first down to keep a desperately needed drive alive. the offense stunk today. Running out of shotgun should be used as an occasional change up, not your fastball.

I wish the coordinator was in a shootout
-
Depends on what you’re in to
-
This is worse than the jets game, we got our poop pushed in today. lost today and took future loses
-
This is 100% on Dorsey and the offense. Did NOTHING today.
-
Oh god please go in so I can turn this off
