I think (and it’s clearly not just my thinking as I’ve seen it discussed on this board) that yesterday’s game demonstrated that the coaching staff in KC is likely the best in the business. Other stats floating around demonstrate that mahomes is a bit of a system quarterback. Likely even more so than Brady. Andy Reid has been the head coach of 13 division champions and now 9 teams in conference championships.

Tuesday morning quarterback used to say home team wins 75% of the time in divisional round. Odds are the one upset is on Sunday (based on the betting lines alone).

If these 2 teams play 10 times it’s probably 4-4 with 2 ties. I don’t like the bills’ style (of football, I.e. philosophy on either side of the ball) but they win games. I will say that I think the bills can beat any team if they are healthy and eliminate mistakes. Hell, they beat a lot of teams while injured and making mistakes. the bills have problems that can only be fixed in the offseason so I’m just going to hope for the best. Hopefully josh makes enough plays and doesn’t make too many errors. I guess this is fandom with a gunslinger quarterback. Before last weekend I would’ve had the bills at 40% to beat the bengals, now I see it as 60%. the spread keeps getting bigger so there has to be something to that.

By saying that I’m letting the audience know that the statement is based on emotion rather than empirical evidence. you asked me to expand so I gave one area (red zone efficiency) where the team has regressed (a word that seems to trigger you). You showed a 9% drop from last year then dismissed it as statistically insignificant. Fine. I get that you love McDermott and I don’t hate the guy. I just FEEL like the team has gone as far as it can with this staff. I WANT to be wrong.

It’s going to be a heavyweight battle. If we eliminate mistakes, something we haven’t been able to do for some time, we should win.
