Taking AP on the over... sometimes it is players that you have in your scheme and you cannot scheme the weak links out. Unless we score enough for Washington to abandon the run.... that could happen, but that does not mean that our RUN defense has fixed anything.

I don't get why he lets linemen get into hugging distance with him. I have seen so many linemen get into the front of his pads and lock on. He just needs to keep his lean and leverage and extend his arms to keep them from getting into his pads and shed to attack the right gap. He is learning, but this is an area his coaches have to see week over week that needs to improve.

Because he is leaning on the run like we have said he needs to do - McD has to keep the reigns on Mr. Creativity. But you are right, our Run D has been totally exposed - I thought it was suspect a year ago against NE, but so many teams are pass-heavy I never felt like they were really tested again by a team committed to running on us. Early this year they were, but I have to assume that missing Harry on the line just has had a domino effect on their run D scheme.

With those long arms he just needs to keep them extended and not let linemen get into them.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I have a short fuse with Daboll's play calling after last week and it was lit after that stalled drive at the 2 yard line. Not negative, just want Daboll to keep it balanced and let this team get into a rhythm - they could be so explosive if he would lean on the run game that this team can really execute well. It will free up the receivers, and slow down the rush to help Allen.

It seems like he has to make every TD some kind of signature trick play that shows how smart he is. Gore from two yards out is automatic, if not on the first attempt definitely on the 2nd

Nsekhe has been in and out of the lineup since our joint practice with the Panthers usually knee and/or ankle. He was one of those high risk/high reward players and has had a checkered injury history. I think he keeps trying to go, but I cannot imagine trying to kick slide out to block speedy defensive ends on a bum ankle or knee.

Year 1 expectations are through the roof.

I have nothing original to add. Scrolling through these responses I felt I could relate to just about all of them to some degree. Funny, because we fight like cats and dogs and disagree on this board on just about every other thing Bills related. Maybe a common thread that unites is that we are all long suffering Bills fans?
