  1. They brought Andre out for one play and he looked good. I know he is the man on returns, but even in training camp he was turning heads as a receiver. Perhaps with Foster out, he gets a week of practice in that role and we will see more of him next week.
  2. The positives folks. We took Belichick's team down to the wire with a young team getting better. His offense which was moving at will against other teams could not do anything against us. We had a special teams gaff that was most of the difference. We scored against NE when teams have not been able to do that at all. How about Peko, and 7th round pick Johnson? Edmunds was filling holes and where Sony hurt us last year, he was pretty much stuffed all game long. Brady's throws look like Barkley's only worse. Gore was amazing, but having Singletary back will be huge. Knox stepped up when needed and is turning into the TE asset I have been looking for on the Bills. Allen will learn or he will end up being replaced by the organization. The onus is on him, but I would like to see this O-line improve a bit more. Not excusing the poor decisions outside the pocket, just the many times the pocket collapses, or edge rushers getting their hands on our QBs.
  3. As much as I like the fun-loving nature of Allen, he often says things like "back in your generation, or you old guys may have done..." Reminds me of my son when I predicted something he was going to do going horribly wrong and he argued with me later, "what makes you think you were going to be right?". We were driving back from a fishing trip and I said, "I have more wisdom than you". "What do you mean?" he asked me. "It means I have more years on earth and more experience than you and it helps me make better decisions." "By that rational, I will never have more wisdom than you do", he said with a lot of teenage sauce. I looked over at him, winked and pointed with a cha-ching sound The moral of the story is that Allen needs to start listening to what those with experience around him are saying and he seems like my thick-headed teen in a lot of ways. We will see how he responds to this as I have never seen Daboll so in his face that angry and animated. What I am not sure I liked is the way Daboll stopped talking to him.... as pissed as you are as a coach you have to set some of that aside and figure out a way to get your QB back on track. Maybe that happened over half time - cannot say, but it was telling that McD had to come over to settle things.
  4. This team comes out hungry for a soft spot in our schedule. I expect W's over the next few weeks folks. The hero ball came back with Josh - I am not going to be an apologist, but you saw with Barkley how they cause QB's to turn the ball over. But the unforced stuff has to be reduced a hell of a lot for Allen to take the next step. Some folks are pretty hard on Barkley, but in this game, coming out against that defense, I am comfortable with him as our backup. Against most other defenses he would be just good enough to keep us in the game.
  5. NE defense has been making teams look bad, but the Bills have a good team. Still have a lot of work to do on Offense - have to think it would been a different game today if Singletary was available as a change of pace option.
  6. There it is.... and Allen haters have to know that NE has been doing that all year. That being said NE's offense is very beatable this year..... My Bills played them tough.
  7. Daboll was pretty pissed at Josh... once the butterflies stop flying around his head it is going to be a rough film session. Folks forget how ridiculous NE's defense has made a lot of QBs look this year. Honestly having Barkley who they really did not prep that much for is a chance for the Bills scheme wise to maybe get a win. Fingers crossed, but we have played NE toe-to-toe so the pundits should not be dissing this team
  8. Of course they will flag us to get us deep and make it look like a fairly called game.... Neal has to be smarter too to know they are looking for an excuse to throw the flag.
  9. Safe play get some yards for the punt, don't turn it over
  10. Was excited to see what this kid could do - love his backstory
  11. as usual the officials apparently blind to Brady grounding WTF
  12. And that is what you are going to get with Barkley throws to where they need to be... I worry about the velocity as NE has so many route jumping DBs
  13. Both D's are playing lights out, but Brady knows more than Allen to just get rid of it. This is the difference between savvy vet and what we have in cocky young QB. Barkley only takes you so far and folks will see that - but he makes sense for this team in his role.
  14. Think I would have motioned Knox on the sweep to create some space for Gore and then handed off to him. That Gore into the teeth - 2nd guessing it.
  15. That ball was trapped by the turf, but meh either way.
