  1. Looks like this team spent the last two weeks reading about how good they are...
  2. Another Bills fan here (since 1987) that's never been to Buffalo. As a 14 year old in Alabama, when you don't have a local NFL team to follow, and your favorite Bama player ever gets traded to the Bills - all of a sudden you've got a team to root for! Been hooked ever since. I see the Bills whenever they're close (Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans), but still have yet to get to Buffalo for a home game. One day...
  3. I haven't been to Nissan Stadium since the Bills were here 2 years ago, but when I lived in Nashville everything on Broadway opened early on Titan game days. It may have changed since then, however... As an aside, a lot of the West End hotels run free shuttles down to Broadway. Might check on that, would save you an Uber fare
  4. This is the correct answer. Pre-game at the bars on Broadway, pedestrian bridge to the stadium, back to Broadway after the game. Music City center is my go to for Titans and Predators games. Easy access in and out.
  5. That's where baseball gets it right. You hit my guy wrong....well, you know what's coming.
  6. It's actually just the opposite. Most folks down here don't even REALLY start paying attention to basketball until February. It's the filler between the end of CFB and the start of spring football. If Avery Johnson had consistently made the tourney, and certainly the sweet 16, he would still be the coach here. I see people talking about Bama not being a basketball school, and while that's true, it hasn't always been this bad. From 1981 to 1992, Bama head coach Wimp Sanderson took them to 10 NCAA tourneys and got to the sweet 16 SIX times. Those Alabama teams sent 11 players to the NBA, including Latrell Sprewell, Robert Horry, and Derrick McKey. If Oats has that level of success, we'll probably name the court after him... *Auburn making it to the Final Four today may have raised the stakes a bit*
  7. Lots of good stuff here. I have the 116610 Submariner. Also have a Panerai 176, although I don't wear it often as it is hand-wound rather than automatic. Completely agree on the Tudor recommendation. I really like the Heritage Black Bay Dark. Rolex bloodlines but an entry point in the high 2K - low 3K range.
  8. Josh Jacobs is going to be special in the NFL. Can do it all. Think Alvin Kamara.
  9. The honest truth is the "vaunted" Bama OL is just not as good this year. They, much like the defense, is living off the reputation of past Bama OL's. Wills and Leatherwood are completely average. Cotton is not even playing if not for the suspension to Deonte Brown. Jonah and Piersbacher are the only above average players on that line.
  10. Based on what I just saw, I'm gonna say Clemson fans?
  11. There is absolutely nothing that could happen in this game that would shock me...Bama close, Clemson wins in a blowout, Bama by two touchdowns, OT. I have no idea how it plays out. The team that wins the line of scrimmage wins this game. Just don't know who that's gonna be? That being said... ROLL TIDE!
  12. This is exactly why we are home this year. After South Beach a week and a half ago, Christmas two weeks ago, its just too much. Not to mention, excluding last year (New Orleans and Atlanta), Bama and Clemson have both had significant travel expenses for the playoffs every year since they started. Just not doable for everyone, every year. Yep. If by chance Bama and Clemson make it next year, ticket prices will be crazy. Game is in New Orleans. 6 hour drive at most from almost the entire state of Alabama. Demand will be huge because it is logistically so much easier. The problem this year is simply location, location, location...
  13. If you like offense, you'll LOVE that matchup. OU plays 7 on 7 football, and Bama is not very good defensively. That game may be in the 70's...
  14. Defensively, they are not as good. Offensively, they are better IMO. However, Bama is light years ahead of where they were offensively in the NCG last year. I think this game will be much higher scoring than the NCG was. In the end, just too many offensive weapons for a young Georgia D to handle. Bama wins 41-31.
  15. Bama by double digits. Close at halftime, Tua does Tua things in the second half.
  16. Make that the Red Elephant Club..... Thanks for the invite! Unfortunately, I'm on call for surgery that weekend, so I'm not. Since you're in NO, any chance you were at Fat Harry's for the Dolphins game in week 17 last year? We were there for the CFP that weekend, just wondering if we crossed paths...
