  1. Here are the results of such a device. NFW
  2. Personally, I'm keeping my eyes on these two I think they have several assets which could lead to a growth of team morale. Seriously though I'm interested to see Hardy and the group of TEs. I'm hoping that one of the TEs is finally not a chump. I think Parrish busts out ion offense in a big way this year.
  3. How many severed heads will fit in a typical chest freezer these days? I'm just askin'...you don't want to underbuy in a situation like this. Lord knows I don't want two of the damn things running up my electric bill.
  4. If it was reciprocated I think teeth was pretty much out of the question.
  5. Beane's smart. he knows they suck this year. Sell em off and collect the prospects.
  6. If it were Genny Cream Ale he'd have died of dysentery months ago. I mean really he does need a bit of an economics lesson. At that level of consumption liquor has to be cheaper to maintain that constant BAC
  7. You know what amuses me about Neil Patrick Harris these days? he's managed to get himself cast as the uber-heterosexual while in the real world he's gayer than a football bat.
  8. Tonight's leading story: Dick touches 17 year old girl's breasts. Film at 11...
  9. I must've misheard that song those 4 hundred thousand times. When did he say "If I had a million dollars, I'd go to Syracuse and do some blow."?
  10. My sister is moving to Mountain Home, ID in about 2 weeks (Brother in law is a Captain in the USAF). I'll forward her that so she can have a pseudo Ted's dog when she gets homesick.
  11. Joe Blanton to Philly for 3 A ball prospects. Expect his WHIP and ERA to go down slightly since he doens't have to face the DH anymore and unfamiliar pitcher who throw strikes always have the advantage in the short term. He'll get his share of W's down the strech as he'll go from a #1 or 2 starter to a 3 or 4 which improves his matchups. Link
  12. Definetly 9am unless there are extenuating circumstances such as a vacation or early starting event at the house, in which case 8am is acceptable with gracious apologies to all enighbors in ear shot. 10am is too late, especially if you have a big yard and live in a warmer place than B-lo. If I started at 10 i wouldn't be done (mowing, weed whacking, edging, and blowing the clippings off the driveway and sidewalk) until almost noon, and by that time it can be hot as hell down here. There is no excuse for 6:45 however and gross amounts of retaliation would be deserved. Good call in mowing during the party. I did that to a neighbor. His guests parked all over my grass and refused to move the cars so I mowed the lawn twice at two heights, very slowly, and weed whacked like I had OCD. Then I fired up my smoker and smoked some barbecue. The prevailing wind took the heavy cloud of hickory smoke right over his deck for like 3 hours.
  13. In related news, the Sovereign Nation of Petoria has seceded from Rhode Island.
  14. Haven't been there for dinner recently but I was there for brunch. The food was well stocked but occasionally on the overdone side. The service was a little less than attentive for having a private room, but whatever. It wasn't bad. Nice atmosphere. Sadly, the toilets ar enot actually located on the poop deck, however. I'd give it a shot and see if you like it. Be critical though because it's not cheap and Philly does not lack for good places to eat.
  15. Nu'u Fa'aola (Nu-ooh Fah-ah-ola) I beliebe of the NY football Jets
  16. Portia Di Rossi and she likes the ladies, which is a plus. (She played Jaqueline Kennedy Bissett on TV once)
  17. That's at least the third car I've heard rumored like that. The last was the 2008 Fit. Hopefully they actually make one (that normal people can afford) someday.
  18. That's a good solution for today. By 2015 I'd imagine that enough people will have figured that out that the price of used fryer oil will be consierably higher than it is today. Though, I guess technically bio-diesel isn't petroleum. Not to mention that ethanol is a big reason for the current run up in grain prices. Growing fuel is a good idea until you realize there is only so much arable land on the planet, that arable land is pretty much maxed out, the population needs to eat, and is not shrinking in number. Corn for cars = less corn for people. And yes I realize that bio-diesel is not ethanol but it is derived from plant materials which must be grown. It would be nice if we could figure out how to get decent fuel yields out of waste material from the plants, not the edible parts. They're working on it but are not there yet. I would hope that Merc would be a little more creative than that and start looking at alternative power sources like plug-in hybrids with good ranges and investing in battery research. I forsee a plug-in hybrid with a small diesel engine meant only to charge the batteries (a la the Volt) with flexible solar technology on the roof line. While the solar won't power the whole car it will extend the range with a trickle charge into the improved lithium ion batt pack. The solar can also assist with charging the car when parked to reduce demand on the grid. we'll see. Knowing Merc they could make a car that runs on pureed Lion cubs...
  19. Keep in mind, diesel doesn't count as petrol.
  20. Agreed. It's like they are there to shepherd the nice white folks out to the expressway. It is kind of funny.
  21. We've got two mini trips scheduled this year. July 2-6 In WNY catching up on my eating, going to the VFW picnic on GI on the 4th to catch up on my drinking, hopefully a bit of water skiing, etc. The first week of August we're going to Virginia Beach for the week. We usually hit the OBX but we bought a house this year (yes I was the guy who bought one) so the budget was a bit reduced and VA Beach is cheaper and an hour closer. Nothing terribly epic. My parents went to Norway though. $13 for a Big Mac, not the combo meal, just the Big Mac.
  22. When we're discussing little kids and legos I agree. When we're discussing my 31 year old brother -in-law and his Lego Room complete with Death Star and Millenium Falcon it gets a little silly. Anything that encourages free and unscripted play is a good thing. Too many things today are formulaic in nature, or even Pavlovian (hit button, get reward). legos, blocks, matchbox cars, the Thomas the Train wooden train set my son has, etc. All these things encourage imaginative play which is good.
  23. lol! that could be the best nickname for a DT ever.
  24. Isn't that the same defense the Dungeons and Dragons guys use? Legos are fun but they're not really my thing. My brother in law is nuts for them and has a room in his house for them.
