  1. I love when I spend 15 minutes putting together a post so I can get one thoughtful reply and then and endless string of silliness... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
  2. I could really see Marty ditching Brees before Flutie to prevent a potential problem next year if Brees comes out and lights up the league before Rivers is ready to start. Rivers is gonna be the guy, Flutie is at least a reliable backup, Germaine is cheaper than Brees and comfortable with a #3 job. Brees could go, in which case, I'd be all over that.
  3. I listed it by team according to who I thought may be available. Seattle, Tampa, Baltimore, New England, Oakland, and San Diego appear the most promising. Seattle: Trent Dilfer, Brock Huard or Seneca Wallace. Tampa Bay: Brian Griese, or Jason Garrett. Philadelphia: Koy Detmer or Jeff Blake, maybe neither. Baltimore: Kordell Stewart, Anthony Wright or Josh Harris. San Diego: Drew Brees, Doug Flutie, or Joe Germaine. Pittsburgh: Tommy Maddox, Brian St. Pierre, or Kurt Kittner. New England: Jim Miller or Kliff Kingsbury Oakland: Rich Gannon, Kerry Collins, Tee Martin, or Marques Tuiasosopo Denver: Bradlee Van Pelt, Matt Mauck, Mike Quinn, or Danny Kanell Cleveland: Kelly Holcomb, Luke McCown, Nate Hybl, or Todd Husak Indianapolis: Joe Hamilton or Jim Sorgi Miami: Jay Fiedler...could happen, they invested in Feely street FAs Shane Matthews, and Chris Redman
  4. Indeed, release Zolman then put him back on the PS. He gets to hang around and run the scout team, if they really feel like they need him for a week they can make a roster move then. In the mean time, if we get down to our 3rd QB we're screwed anyway. Eric Moulds would probably be the emergency QB and we'd run the ball ALOT. We could run the hell out of the option, but you have to practice that ;-)
  5. Yeah I know it sucks for him, nobody wants to break their leg. However, this may turn out to be a positive in the long run. How? It will prevent us from turning on Drew Bledsoe like a pack of hyena after his first bad game. We won't be ABLE to call for Losman until at least the midpoint of the year, at which point we will know if Drew has bounced back or not. Most of the work JP would get is classroom and scout team - half speed. In other words, mostly mental, not physical. He can still get all of his film study in without thinking about starting for several weeks. When he is healthy he can resume his limited snaps (backups get VERY few snaps during the year) and continue his studying. He will still be on schedule for next season, and maybe in his spare time the Bills can schedule some workouts with the Bisons so he can learn how to slide properly... Bad break for JP, maybe a good break for the team?
