75 players show up for voluntary workouts
RobbRiddick replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes I'm tempted to just turn up and start practising like Willie Mayes Hayes in Major League, then I look at my gut and decide not to -
Dan Campbell wants a live Lion at Detroit pratices.

This is a bad idea -
Is this the TV broadcast? I read there's a guy who has a copy of it and told the NFL he wanted a million for it but they declined. I don't know if that's true but I'll check the video out later to see if it is. I watched the old TV broadcast of Super Bowl III a few years ago and it put it into a much better perspective than the NFL Films footage does.

Christian Wade [Mod edited] has a groupie
RobbRiddick replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree it would be fun to design a few speciality plays that take advantage of his speed. Unfortunately that's not enough to keep a roster spot for. If the NFL is serious about pushing these opportunities for international guys (which would help spread the popularity overseas if a few caught on) then they should let every NFL team activate a guy on game day without him counting against the roster. -

Ma boss took yo Jets down to da basement an' said stay there mother f***ers, youse ain't never gettin out. Bills be dancing on youse graves an makin that mormon you got playin QB wish his momma had neva spread her legs. You hear me now brotha?

Yeah, you can watch film and interview guys as much as you want but you can never see inside his head and get a look at how committed he is to the game. Plus, would ALL those undrafted successes been as good if they'd been drafted at all? You have to think the chip on their shoulder at not being picked at all really adds to the drive they have to prove people wrong.

Key for me is D-line pressure. If they can get after QBs more effectively the secondary will look far better than last year because the QBs won't have as long to wait for someone to get open.

1. Chiefs 2. Browns 3. Bills
RobbRiddick replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A brave post! But one I agree with. Browns are a damn good team and if Mayfield continues to improve will be really tough to beat. They've also got the Steelers monkey off their backs and I'd be surprised if they didn't win that division with ease -
Hmm, color me unimpressed. Sure, it's a solid enough name that evokes a hard working insurance salesman ("hey, honey, Jack Anderson is coming over to tomorrow with those forms we need to sign") but it's a little lacking for a modern day NFL player. After the movie poster-worthy bombshell of WILDGOOSE earlier in the day I'm afraid Jack Anderson is a disappointing return to humdrum reality. The only chance this guy makes the roster is if he somehow earns a cool nickname, but I haven't thoroughly researched the young man's hobbies enough to see if there's anything that pops out at me. Final grade: F EDIT: I just ran this young man's name through an anagram maker and was given some alternatives that are worthy of at least being in the same room as Mr. WildGoose.
