McDermott- Highest odds to be fired..
PeterDude replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear that McDermott is a racist because he benched Tuh-Rod for a white QB and that's why Davis quit at halftime, to protest Kaep style. -
I guess I disagree with the assessment there...

Wow this is silly...

Brady and McDaniels lose their cool ?
PeterDude replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady really does act like a spoiled child... I know they have won a lot of games and SB's, but it seems a perpetually walking on egg shells type of work environment they got going on there. -
I don't think the Pegulas signed off on this

Hmm, that's not the best response to a valid criticism of the FO lol. -
A couple of frustrating plays yesterday IMO
PeterDude replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I get the difference between completion percentage & accuracy. Ball placement is the issue. That is talent driven. I don't see that dramatically improving. Great QB's have very good to great ball placement. Good ball placement requires consistent accuracy, something Allen has lacked all of his career as a QB so far. I don't understand why people think this will get better, magically. It won't. -
Preston Brown "There's some weird stuff going on up there."

I gotta say, I think there is something seriously wrong with McDermott. He has that creepy religious cult leader thing going on IMO. -

Why do you assume this? I hear people say this, and it doesn't make any sense. If there is one thing that is proven about developing QB's is they typically don't become more accurate. This take I keep hearing is more faith/hope based than factual. -
Every throw from Josh Allen’s 1st start

He's inconsistent, just what the pre-draft scouting suggested. -
I am not giving up, the Bills can still have a winning season
PeterDude replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Winning season? Oh my, I just don't get how this eternal optimism crap works in the face of facts. -
I'm not upset at the actual record, as I had them starting 0-4. What I am concerned about is the decision making PROCESS so far. McDermott being hired before Beane started the ball rolling in the wrong direction from the get go. I think McClappity will prove out to be a failure. I'd be interested to see what would happen if Beane was kept on board and allowed to hire a coach. IMO a lot of Beane's bad decisions in free agency and draft trade up's have a McDermott character before talent stink to them.

[Edited Title] Tremaine Edmunds looks Lost
PeterDude replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't like what I'm hearing. Overthinking, timid, soft tackling... Yuck! And they traded up for him too. Their draft trade ups have been **** so far, starting with Zay Jones. -

The Chargers were up many scores, it's natural for a team to letup a bit when way ahead. That probably has a lot more to do with the defense looking better in the second half than anything McClappity did. -
Is Doug Marrone a better coach than Sean McDermott?
PeterDude replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's hard to trust the coaches McDermott has surrounded Allen with. If Allen develops it's almost like he has to figure it out himself, that sounds like a complete opposite approach to say what Mahomes went/is going through. -

I don't recall Davis having a reputation as a bad character player, quite the opposite from my memory. The fact that he quit on McDermott I think says a lot more about McDermott and his process than it does about Davis. Davis saw the tire fire/train wreck from the inside. Seems like he decided he didn't want his career to end like that... OR McDermott totally mis-evaluated Davis' character. Not sure which scenario is worse. Forgoing talented players for high character and then whiffing on the high character part. -

Last year Terry said he wanted to gain the respect of the rest of the NFL. I suppose they did get some for backing into the playoff's, but I don't think they have much respect currently. To all other franchises, the Bills still look bush league. -

PeterDude replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From what I can tell, it is a big part of his decision making process. I think that is a problem when it comes to building a winning team. -

PeterDude replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I do not think what McDermott is doing is the right approach. This is why the faith based part of it annoys me to no end. He only wants a certain type of person (like religions) so they will follow the pied piper (like religions) without too many questions (like religions). You win in this league with talent, not religion. -

Yes, Marrone is better IMO. His personality sucks, but faith based McClappity doesn't have the greatest personality either. Marrone was smart enough to see that Whaley + Brandon = **** show He was smart to get the hell out, look at him now!
