  1. Collinsworth complemented him several times yesterday. (I know this board despises him and I will admit he can be biased, but I personally think he does a great job color comementating). Dane Jackson is a good player. Former seventh round pick and someone I feel does fine as CB#2. Ideally you would like him as a backup but it's the NFL and reality is players get hurt. I'm glad Dane is on our team and I hope Beane resigns him, as long as the numbers make financial sense. If our pass rush was getting home, our secondary would look a lot better. I think the bigger problem is the offenses inconsistenty and lack of identity.
  2. QBs getting hurt in the pocket doesn't excuse exposing yourself to more/unnecessary contact. I think it would be a terrible idea if we tried to make Josh into something he is not. The running threat he bring makes Allen so dynamic. What concerns me are things like not sliding, not stepping out of bonds and lack of situational awareness of times when it is necessary to make contact with a defender(s). The coaching staff/front office have not done Allen a lot of favors in regards to the run game/offensive line as well. He is basically are short yardage back. To their credit, it seems we finally invested in the interior line. We have also gotten bigger in the trenches and added some North/South type of running backs.
  3. Never though I would have to write this.. First and foremost congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings, hell of an accomplishment. Bills comeback is much more impressive: -Bills comeback was in the playoffs, versus a good team, not a 4-8-1 team with an interim coach (if you can even consider Jeff Saturday that lol). -Bills were without their HOF QB Jim Kelly and HOF RB Thurman Thomas, in an era where RBs were about as important as QBs. -Bills comeback occurred when scoring points was much more difficult and the league didn't cater to offense. What bothers me most is that when the record books will show largest comeback 33 points/Minnesota Vikings and they won't know any of the context behind the Bills Comeback.
  4. Let's go Bills Mafia, lets make this girls day!!! https://gofund.me/dd98021b
  5. I don't know why people think the Daboll/Giants are going to give up Barkley. Maybe I missed something. The way I see it, they are 3-1 with a weak schedule. When the trade deadline approaches, they are likely to be in the mix for a wildcard spot. I don't see why they would trade their entire offense. Daboll makes the playoffs his first year as a coach, he gets a lot of breathing room (see McDermott 2017).
  6. That is a Super Bowl caliber win. Everything goes wrong and they still find a way.
  7. Bad call. I'm always an advocate of letting the players play. That being said, Baltimore needs to know how flag happy refs are when a QB even gets breathed on. I'll certainty take it tho =)
  8. Key phrase "on their home turf" Denver Broncos beat defending champions Baltimore Ravens in 2013 by a score of 49-27, but the game was held in Denver. Matchups in kickoff game are always strong teams playing one another.
  9. Superbowl champions are now 15-4 in the kickoff game since 2004. Buffalo is in rare company. Buffalo also holds the largest margin of victory against a defending Superbowl champion on their home turf. (Broncos defeating Ravens in 2013 was held in Denver) If it wasn't for the four turnovers, we would've scored even more. Hell, Rams touchdown drive needed to be aided by a kickoff out of bounds and an offensive lineman pushing Cooper Kupp for the fourth down conversion. Their only other scoring drive was a low probability 58 yard field goal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Kickoff_Game#Win/loss_records
  10. This tweet from him feels like a comedian making up an outlandish quote that AB said. Except AB actually wrote this 😆 , this made my day.
  11. Love being part of the most passionate fanbase. Love that there is always a gameday thread, regardless of who is playing. As I'm getting older, I find each NFL team fascinating and have been visiting rivals message boards if a player or their team is trending. Almost every other message board is either visually hard to look at or it looks like a message board from the 90's. Glad we have the cleanest, most professional looking NFL message board I am aware of. Go Bills! This. Is. Our. Year.
  12. Maybe those who have attended training camp can enlighten me. So Von Millers natural position is linebacker, although pass rushing linebacker. We run nickel defense most of the time and Milano/Edmunds are our two linebackers in the 4-2-5. I am curious as to how we exactly plan to utilize him. I am not sure having him line up as DE with his hands in the dirt will be getting the most out of him (maybe it is IDK). I think this is a good problem to have and Frazier/McDermott can really get creative with some of our looks/disguises. Also makes me wonder who will be our other DE if we aren't having Von Miller line up exclusively there. Boogie? Lawson? If this has been discussed, I apologize in advance.
  13. All you fans who are getting butthurt have to stop being such homers. His analysis is actually pretty sound. The AFC is absolutely loaded. I still like the Bills chances but their may have never been a tougher season in the history of the AFC to obtain 12 wins than the upcoming one. Furthermore, it seems he is speaking more on the betting side of things and the value the Bills offer in sportsbooks, he is not trashing on our teams talent.
  14. First let me preface this by saying that Josh is absolutely amazing and constantly puts the team on his back. I have a few things he could work on such as: -Ball Security -Situational awareness. Specifically when in field goal range. He is improving but still will take a huge sack here or there that knocks us out. -Taking what the defense gives him. Check downs. Another area he has improved, but would like to see more. The one thing I MOST want to see him improve on is winning from the pocket. Now he does a damn good job here too but he still runs too much for my liking. Losing him for the season will feel almost as bad as Sunday. The biggest difference I see between Mahomes game and Joshs game is Mahomes unmatched arm talent (not only strength). When Mahomes scampers, there often isn't a soul around or he is able to scurry out of bounds because defenses need to respect the back end so much. Josh on the other hand is often barreling through defenders and even hurting some haha! As entertaining as it is, I want him healthy. I do believe QBs get better with age, specifically in regard to reading coverages etc.. He improves year after year and I expect him to stay on this trajectory. This makes me wonder as Daboll is likely to leave, if Josh will be given greater responsibility in the offense such audibling and even calling his own plays.
  15. Buffalo Bills lead series 65-56 https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/buffalo-bills/teamvsteam?opp=22
  16. Whats next for our franchise QB.. MVP? Superbowl? Madden Cover? First player taken overall in 2021 drafts (depending on format)? Who ever would have thought the Bills would have a candidate for these?
  17. Not sure if this has been posted. But Josh is leading all fantasy players. I don't play anymore, but still think its awesome! That is all https://fantasy.nfl.com/research/scoringleaders?position=1#researchScoringLeaders=researchScoringLeaders%2C%2Fresearch%2Fscoringleaders%3Fposition%3DO%26statCategory%3Dstats%26statSeason%3D2020%26statType%3DseasonStats%26statWeek%3D15%2Creplace
  18. Injury history and the game looked to big for him last week. It's still really early but maybe Miami didnt like what they say in training camp either. I have no criticism with selecting him at #5 last year. It's a QB driven league.
  19. https://www.rotoworld.com/football/nfl/player/57496/tua-tagovailoa I was originally critical when they decided to bench Fitz. Apparently they want to see if Tua is their guy and may draft his replacement as soon as next years draft. They have stockpiled picks and have the Houston Texans (1-6) first round pick. I applaud this mentality by Miami. I feel a lot of teams wouldn't pull the trigger the very next draft after selecting a quarterback at #5 overall the previous year. The Dolphins seem to play hard for Flores and their arrow, IMO, is pointing up ^ .
  20. Exactly. I mean the contact wasn't terrible but it held up the receiver and his route. Josh threw it inside and if Davis wasn't obstructed with he would have been breaking right where the ball was placed.
