  1. How can a season happen? Buffalo is one of the better areas in the country to be in and we already have players infected. When players put the pads on, ***** gonna hit the fan.
  2. Its apples and oranges you can't compare the two. The keyword in my post was current climate. The Fromm leak happened at the worst possible time because of the George Floyd incident. What Josh Allen said is not being discussed because the reports happened three years ago. We don't know if Josh has made amends and earned his teammates respect since he was drafted. Also, Josh is a former first round pick who is coming off a season where he lead his team to playoffs. Right or wrong, Josh gets a longer leash. Regarding either player, I am not trying to take a moral stand. I am giving my opinion what I believe is the best for the organizations culture and ability to win games.
  3. I believe in giving players second chances. We all made stupid mistakes when we were younger. That being said, based on the current climate and the fact the majority of NFL Athletes are African American..I think it is in the best interest for the team to cut ties with him. He's a 5th round QB with a noodle arm, who ceilings is likely a solid backup. The Bills are risking losing the locker room by having this guy on the team.
  4. This thread is literally about their draft history. Many users on this forum are as big of homers as One Bills Live. God forbid you critique a team that hasnt won a playoff game in 25 years.
  5. I'm still crying about TJ Graham over Russel Wilson?. When this thread is about praising the Bills past few drafts, not only passing on, but trading out of the spot of a generational talent at the most important position deserves some criticism.
  6. Much more difficult to obtain a first round bye because of the new CBA. Only one spot available, must win the conference. I think McBeane is also looking at north/south runners. McDermott does not want to turn the ball over and I bet he feels the same way about taking huge losses on running plays. Moss is also the short yardage back we desperately need. It seems our only option on 3rd/4th and short was QB keeper. Swapping out Moss for Gore should extend drives and punch in a few more TDs,
  7. I like the drafts but as great is a player Tre is, I am not as ecstatic as you about the additional first round pick. We traded out of the pick and Chiefs landed Patrick Mahomes. Sure, nobody knew what he would become but it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, additional first rounder or not. (DeShaun Watson also available at #10) Regarding the 2017 draft. Yes, Whaley was GM at the time but if I recall, McDermott was given a lot of power. Whaley and his scouting department may have put the board together, but I believe McDermott was ultimately making the final call.
  8. It was legal (barely). Looking how the play unfolded, it certainly appeared to have been a forward pass. When Wycheck threw it to Mason, Mason was too far ahead. Mason had to come back and retrieve the ball. The optics of the play certainly give the illusion of a forward pass and in most instances, I think the refs would have thrown a flag...it would be too close to overturn. Regardless, the Bills mistakes were compounding and it eventually caught up to them. We should have started Flutie. We chose to kick the go ahead field go with like 16 seconds and I believe it was only 2nd or 3rd down. And as mentioned, there is no excuse for the special teams not covering the kick off properly. I recently watched a video of the play and Jeff Fisher was literally moving his arm in a throwing motion to the special teams unit beforehand..
  9. Would that be considered a 108 yard TD drive? There was the 10 yard holding penalty.
  10. That's a good point. All Aiken had to was get in the path of the defender (he could have literally just stood there), no reason to engage. Couple this with the poor traction, there is no way any DB can recover. Very poor execution. Hmm, I thought this was instituted starting in 2018. I was under the impression this game was a driving force behind it. Maybe they redefined the rule in 2018?
  11. Oh, I'm certain it will be terrible I like McD as a coach, but yeah...that was bad.
  12. I agree with everything you said. It was very frustrating, because the Bills would have waltz'd over this Colts team but the snow evened the playing field. (Oh and Tyrod was injured as well). Yep, it is silly as all games are important when making the playoffs, but I thought this was the most pivotal play in the most pivotal game. But hey, if we have to play in another Blizzard again this season, we have a 1-2 punch at running back (Gore/McCoy) that is well equipped to weather the elements.
  13. So, under the new rules, this is challengeable? Offensive pass interference. (well this would have come from the Booth being under two minutes/scoring play)
  14. That's fair. Opportunities after are not important, I was digressing a bit. You're absolutely correct the spirit of my question was the play/call itself.
  15. And the Colts had more opportunities to close the game out as well. We threw a pick deep in our own territory right after this play happened and there was overtime. I'm a firm believer things like make up calls or teams playing for something vs. an opponent who's season is over may get the benefit of the doubt as well. I think there are some elements of that in play here. You could also make the argument the snow impacted the decision by the ref as well. People talk about past games/plays all the time here. May - July is the deadest time of the year for the NFL, so I thought it would be something interesting to discuss.
  16. Thank you Mr. Weo! Seems like an improvement over the last turf.
  17. What are your thoughts on the pass interference/illegal blocking on the 2pt conversion at the end of regulation. If this doesn't get called, we are likely still in our playoff drought. The highlights can be found on Youtube. In your opinion, was it any of the following: -Bad call by the refs? -Good call by the refs? The announcer comments that this should not have been called within 1 yard of the line of scrimmage. If two point conversions start at the two yard line, it appears the incident happened about 1 yard from the line of scrimmage. Very close situation. -The Bills were still alive in the playoff race at the time and the Colts were eliminated, did this play a factor in the call? (I don't care if it did, as the Bills had many calls go the other way during the drought) Let me know you think!
  18. I apologize if this has been discussed already. Our old turf seemed to be very slippery. Watching games, players were always falling down, even on hot September days. I don't have any specific sources, but I recall players from both the Bills and other teams making passing comments about this. Does anyone know if the new turf will be made of different material and hopefully reduce all the falling?
  19. Sometime in the last week or so he said "I can't remember the last time in the last 20 years the Bills haven't been the worse team in Football." Ummm, we haven't picked first since what 85? And yes 2001 and 2010 we were terrible, but not last. His phrasing was very mean spirited. I could understand if he stated we were the most dysfunctional but he went with worse team. Do some fact finding, because we are the definition of below average. I feel he found an opportunity to take a shot at Buffalo and went with it.
  20. Although we made the playoffs, we didn’t control our own destiny. I don’t believe it is all doom and gloom at One Bills Drive. However, I can’t say we are a team that is playoff bound either. If this team plays with a lot of heart, I see us still being in the wildcard demographic late into the year.
