  1. Except he’s wrong. Assuming the salary cap continues to increase at a steady rate over the course of Mack’s Chicago deal, he will take up around 10.5% of the Bears cap per year. Not 25%, not 33%. Don’t throw around numbers without doing the math. He don’t “get it”
  2. The team made the playoffs on the backs of the players that the pilots of your “sinking ship” put together.
  3. Exactly. All I see in the OP’s post is a bunch of assumptions, hopes and wishes, all of which he (or she) is trying to use to rationalize away an anticipated lost season. The OP assumes he knows what Beane is anticipating, how much rope the coaching staff perceives themselves to have, what the ownership’s expectations are, etc... On top of that, I read a glowing premonition of the future; as if Beane is going to use all that free cap money masterfully and get the train back on the tracks post haste. Sorry, but I put no value in these predictions. Football is entertainment, plain and simple. Both players and fans are enjoying themselves when the team is winning not losing. Laying an egg this season is bad. “Really” bad.
  4. Ah yes “dos and don’ts”. Do you really think out-of-town fans need to be reminded to not physically accost opposing fans? Or that they should not fall off the upper deck of the stadium? Those were your helpful examples. I know not everyone received a UA education, but I think even those unfortunates can figure those things out.
  5. Hopefully this means McD grew a set and we’ll just go for it on 4th down all the time.
  6. Yeah Kamara could be described that way too. Albeit one with vastly greater tools than Mike.
  7. Good move by the Saints whilst Ingram serves his suspension. Gillislee is a limited-use back and could spell Kamara and the other guys effectively.
  8. You lost track of Robert Woods? So you’re not really a fan of football and you just like to complain.
  9. Problem now is, the media knows a free lunch when they see one. Slow news week? Let’s hit up Jalen because we know he has 13 ridiculous takes that are sure to generate clicks. Get ready for an absolute flood of Jalen Ramsey this season. i used to like Mina Kimes too; kinda makes me mad she was tapped to write about this clown.
  10. I agree with that too...that is a fairer way of doing it. My only point was after the first few claims, you’re probably running up against diminishing returns. For every waiver claim brought in, they have to move or release someone who’s been practicing with the team all summer (unless they too were a late addition.)
  11. But being in the Browns’ position to make unlimited claims with top priority has little practical value. Rosters are, for the most part, set.
  12. Not mutually exclusive. The new punter took the old punter’s spot, in essence. But a line move would be welcome too. People are suggesting Jerry; I would be fine with that.
  13. Not that ridiculous. Not sure why people are dumping on the idea. Think it’s just because most are simply fed up with Shaq and want him gone.
  14. ? I am wondering more if you’re the one with the head injury. So where does the malfeasance of a company’s wrongdoing lie, if not with the *owner* of that company? Or are you suggesting that since Haslem founded Flying V, his lackeys should take all responsibility for any subsequent fraud? Wow. That’s uhh...that’s something.
  15. Pfff...cutting Kendricks for this is the height of hypocrisy from a owner who’s company has engaged in organized fraud for years. Jesus at least Kendricks released a statement admitting it. If it was some sleazy trumpite accused of the the same thing they’d be denying it and calling it fake news all the way to their prison cell. hey how about Josh Gordon? He’s still employed by the Browns though? Because it was reported a week or so ago that he owes thousands in back child support. Guess that don’t register as much.
  16. Bleacher report chief. Wouldn’t call that national media. It’s some fat boy on his couch in Ohio.
  17. Very scary. 4th preseason game and all. Everyone knows how determinative that one is. ?
  18. Nope and the team that really wants him won’t have to give that up. Exactly. It is an asking price. The raiders will move off it they have no intention (or means, if you believe the rumors) of paying Mack’s going value.
  19. I am in for this book sounds like a fun read. Also I don’t think Terry is a dunce but he should leave the interviews and other PR to Kim.
  20. Good point. You're stacking assumptions on top of assumptions thinking that the Bills are even going to be in the position to draft any of these guys. And I get the counterargument from people watching these preseason games and wanting to hold on to picks to improve the O line but again any offensive lineman you draft is just another unknown. Take the stud if he's available. A 1st and a 2nd for Khalil Mack? Go right ahead. I have heard it's a combination of things - Gruden is locked in the past, Davis is one of the more cash-poor owners (until he gets the team to Vegas), all sorts of stuff. I don't think it has anything to do with a hidden injury or suspension.
  21. I get your concern but you have to also consider WHY that cost is that high. The guy is a proven monster; he's not local but he already has ties to the area. The cap BS is clear after this year, for the most part. Draft picks are lottery picks; Bosa and Oliver both look great but you never know staring at college highlight clips. Personally I'd rather trade a 1st away for Mack we are currently in a very small window to get him.
