Mahomes misses plenty of passes but nobody cares because of all the big plays Bit tougher to get big plays from the talent the Bills have The most talented skill player the Bills have had since Eric Moulds is their third or fourth option Not sure why this is so tough for people to see There will always be guys running wide open because defenses have to bracket or panic covering Hill and Watkins and their 4th and 5th wrs have more speed and ability than anybody on this team besides brown Yeah were basically still running a undermanned team just not as bad as 2018. I worry the cap space will disappear with more process guys vs bringing in some elite talent. Beane should shoot for the moon in free agency and spend on a top wr, pass rusher

Everything gets swept under the rug when you have success Bills offense has been stagnant for stretches so Allen is the #1 scapegoat. Mahomes is driving a Ferrari and Allen is driving a Camry and people want the same result. Get the guy some help Beane Stop putting all the assets into MCDermotts defense

Taylor padded his stats taking a 2 yard check down on 3rd and 15 He also played a ton better before McDermott took over He would at least take chances along the boundaries for big plays in 1-1's He never worked the middle of the field. His low int totals are directly linked to him not throwing the ball past the marker and into tight windows. Some of the routine throws Allen makes Tyrod would never even try. Looking at a qbr rating is not the same as watching the actual plays A qb could take short checkdowns that dont have a chance at a first down and have a high qbr. I dont know if Josh Allen will ever be a top qb but I do have my doubts if it can happen under Mcdermott. It would help if they gave Josh a elite talent on offense to feed the ball to

Josh Allen - week TEN report card
DuckyBoys replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C- seems fair I dont think his play swung the game really in either direction and I'm giving him the minus for coughing up the ball. He did the put the Bills up late in the 4th -
wish they would have him active and run and pass to the rbs till the wheels fall off

He's getting better Its not going to be linear. The stupid ints have dropped off. So have the panic sacks and immediately fleeing the pocket. He's had some bad luck on ball security and needs to cover the rock while in traffic. Terrible on the deep ball but that will come. McCoach got into his head to not put the defense into a bind with picks. We desperately need a big physical playmaker on the outside to let Brown slide into the #2 role. Daboll needs to use more play action and put that back into the flat to give Allen another safety valve. Why is Yeldon even on the team this is what he is known for ? he should be catching a few dumps each game as should Singeltary Lot of snaps he doesnt have time to come back to the read on the other side that you see open (kid is still getting hit too much on or just after his release) O line needs to get better executing screens. Some of that is on Allen, he needs to sell them better. Daboll needs to spend majority of his time working in easier hot reads to beat the blitz We shouldnt have to rely /force the qb and receiver to execute 20 yard fades and down field throws when we need 4 yards for a first down Brady throws a pass to the flat or hits Edelman on a jerk route when they need 5 or less.

Beasley is a nice third down slot guy and brown is a fine #2. Both have played well and up to their previous standards of production. Few people mention the execution and mistakes undoing the offense I agree but there will be much more room for error if they add some explosive talent. We dont have a rb who can take it to the house and we for sure dont have that WR1 that can dictate how a whole defense reacts and covers the field. TE they might have something in Knox but too early to tell. Were basically trying to win a race each week with a 6 cylinder engine and the good teams have a V12

100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.
DuckyBoys replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure they beat avoiding throwing interceptions into his head to the point he is not trusting what he sees the first time. Not only does he seem timid he also looks frustrated. I'd love to see him drop three steps and just trust the window will be there and fire it in more. I worry he might follow how things went with Tyrod Not saying Taylor was a passing machine but the first season he was willing to at least throw deep along the boundaries. The next season all those boundary balls were always too long or out of bounds/too close to the sideline. Sound familiar? -
Defense has to be more aggressive in getting after the qb Mayfield had a pick in all but one game prior to Sunday Haskins is a rookie and had been a turnover machine prior to playing the Bills . Do we even need to address Ryan Fitzpatrick? Bottom line is the defense is almost never in attack mode anymore and with a mediocre struggling offense getting some extra possessions could be the difference between righting this ship or another 8-8 finish

Run First to Set up The Pass !! What do the Numbers Say ?
DuckyBoys replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You need to have balance and the defense needs think it could be a run or pass on most downs. Daboll tends to abandon the run for stretches he also seems to favor a ton of empty sets . I'd prefer he had a back next to Josh or behind him from under center Offense seems very routine and vanilla -
A Few Thoughts about the Browns Game, In no particular order
DuckyBoys replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Daboll outsmarts himself Miami is bottom defense against the run but he'll probably dial up 40+ passes again also if you are going to play action pass you actually need to hand it off a few times I swear anytime Allen is under center its a play action pass other than goal line and end of the game running the clock out -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
DuckyBoys replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Game plan on offense stunk and McDermott coached timid at the end. Putting the game on a struggling kicker probably not the best idea. Maybe McDermott still pictures Hauschka of 2017 kicking 50 yarders like they were xps. More troubling is the vaunted Buffalo D allowed the Browns to march 80 yards for a td with the game on the line in the 4th quarter. -
One important question I have on the last drive
DuckyBoys replied to Thunderstruck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Think he made up his mind pre snap where the football was going I dont like it but if he holds the ball he gets crushed Dawkins was terrible and Daboll not bright enough to give him help with a chip block Its a lower % play and we seem to be running way too many of those in critical third downs -
They really need to decide how they are going to handle Allen Either open it up and live with the good and bad or stick with a game plan that gives him support (run the football more created completion near the los) They cant seem to make up their mind. Browns are not good against the run why were we in shotgun with no rb on most downs? Daboll sucks, Allen may be struggling but his OC is not doing him any favors.
