  1. EJ should have never been drafted in the first round He was a 3rd round pick at best Yet another reach by the Bills who seemed to think they were smarter than everyone else. By that reasoning he should have never been thrust into the starter role. He didnt have the ability to put mistakes behind him and overcome adversity. Once that mental weakness showed the Bills gave up on him quickly. I remember my buddy a Seminoles fan laughing his butt off after we made that pick. Everything he said about the kid from watching FSU games was 110% correct. That pick also set up the Sammy trade the following year where that regime doubled down on their blunders
  2. someone that graduated high school 20 years ago should be able to get 25 or better on that test let alone a person that took any college classes But I get your point My part timer at work teaches at a local community college and he gets to teach algebra prep to collegian athletes Quite the shore to pass them in the most basic fundamentals
  3. Anyone else besides me find it appalling any college student would struggle that mightily? First its multiple choice, you have a 1 in 4 chance of guessing answers. Second its basic math/reasoning/language skills with some history questions. The trick is to make sure you complete all 50 questions and not stay stuck on one.
  4. I think he might still be there I've seen a lot of mocks with no rb in the first round
  5. We trying to win a superbowl or coddle players? Seriously I dont think its an issue Devin is probably most effective with around 15 touches a game and he was drafted to be a complement to Shady. Think of those 10 yarders Gore got Those are huge gains and tds with Taylor. I love Singeltary but why not add more juice to the rb room
  6. Roger Goodell will still get booed in the virtual draft
  7. Which they once again repeated with the dynamic duo of AJ McCaron and Peterman. Which Allen was able to survive that 2018 year. Watching the Bills handle the qb position is way too stressful which is why I desperately cling to Josh being the 10+ year high end starter
  8. He's a difference maker and a Singeltary/Taylor tandem at rb would be sick
  9. If he's not significantly better they will at best tender a 5th year option . I am not panicking, he showed enough to have me excited for what he can improve upon in 2020. I expect playoffs, 25+ passing tds and 3500 yards. I'm not prepared for the frustration of another reboot and if Allen fails we'll see a whole turnover again
  10. BPA is fine If a high end talent at rb drops that is where I'd go 3 rushing tds from Gore, Singeltary and Yeldon is pathetic
  11. I don't think his background or his story is going to help him succeed. He'll succeed because he has superior talent, intelligence , drive and work ethic to get where he needs to be. The organization is now fully commited to his success. 2018 they threw him to the wolves plain and simple. I really throw that year out. To me he began his run as the Bills qb last year. In 2019 they surrounded him with middle of the road play makers on offense. 2020 he'll finally have a difference maker in Stefon Diggs and hopefully another talented rb to pair with Devin. I fully expect with no improvement his stat lines to be better just from Diggs being there. He gets that deep ball down and they teach him to cover the damned football when he's in traffic and I see a big year for him in 2020. I still don't think we'll have seen his peak for 2-3 more years.
  12. Problem is he's achieving that production with the help of a 20 Mill a year wr, a 16 mill year rb and the NFL's most expensive offensive line. Somewhere in there somebody's not earning that money and that leaves the rest of their roster middling at best
  13. I think you are right. Mother Nature is trying to correct things. I think we'll be back to some form of amended normalcy sooner than later. Spanish flu killed an estimate of 50+ million when the world's population was only 1.8 Billion so there are precedents to look at. I cant see everything in lock down for 6 months, there would be no economy left. I'm sure much smarter people than us are busy calculating every possibility
  14. I don't think that is completely true. The Falcons did not cater to Mike Vick's talents They ran a typical offense and Vick just added to it with his rushing ability most of which was scrambles and not designed runs I don't think either are great when it comes to traditional qb skills but Vick for sure had incredible arm The Ravens went out and minimized the type of throws they ask of Lamar They dont ask him to throw a lot to the outside deep or to throw into tight windows. I havent watched every ravens game but what I did see I wasnt exactly wowed by lamar's passing
  15. I think Cam was a success. He carried that Panthers team. Did he ever develop into a prototypical qb? No he did not but as long as his body held up that combination of ability won a lot of football games. I don't see Lamar being able to last as long as Cam did unless he does alter his playing style . Lamar is Mike Vick except the Ravens were smart enough to incorporate an offense that highlights what he does well and minimizes what he is not good at .... yet. Can Newton was unique in that his body type allowed for continued usage as a college option style qb in the nfl. I'm re-watching all of last years games for the 3rd time. Seems each time I go back I see a different angle as far as the qb play and offense as a whole .
  16. There were some calls but honestly the Bills still had every chance to come out of there with the win. I rewatched it just now and its amazing how poor the defense was in the red zone giving up the two pointers with ease. Also how little separation there was. How little Gore had left to give. We sure could have used Diggs in that game. Josh really needs to focus on being aware of defenders when he's running with the football. I hope we get a 2020 season.
  17. yep how many games have we watched of "lets not lose the game football" If the Bills are ever going to win the big game they need the killer instinct
  18. Think as long as we dont speak in terms of absolutes than you can be impartial on Josh Allen. Nobody can say for sure either way. I applaud the Bills for turning a corner and putting the tools in place for a qb to succeed and hopefully it is Josh.
  19. I hope the Bills carry a wr #4, wr #5 who can contribute besides just special teams this year
  20. Comes down to unrealistic expectations. He was a raw prospect who really should have sat all of 2018. Also we have delusions of where a young qb should be due to Mahomes immediate success (and yes I know he sat year 1) Some of us are satisfied with where he is and some obviously are not. My take is he improves again this coming season. There are games he frustrates me but I really do think he is the franchise guy going forward. Bills could have been delaying his development by hiding his weaknesses but they have not done that. If anything their game plans / play calling often have put him in more unfavorable conditions. Hopefully he becomes a more battle tested complete qb over the next two seasons while he's cheap against the cap . I think he's worth the patience How many qb's are the talent/ ceiling level equal or greater to his? It's a short ist
  21. lets also remember Diggs played in a conservative rushing based offense Vikings had one of the fewest pass attempts in the nfl last year Kirk Cousins was not squeezing balls into get him involved. Saying he's not a top 10 wr based just on stats is not giving the man credit Go watch some tape, he's pretty damned good
  22. I think it makes a dramatic difference Quickly we forget the board was frothing to have Duke Williams in late in the season That is how bad the 2nd outside wr production was. I'm certain the efficiency of the offense would have been much greater
  23. Didn't we just win 10 games for the first time in 20 years and go to the playoffs? He's getting better and the talent and desire are there for him to be a really good one
  24. Long as he continues to show improvement I dont see what the hurry is. He was a physically freakish project qb coming out. Bills did nothing but throw him into the lions den with a steak around his neck year one . Year two they added some support around him but the conservative play calling and washed up Frank Gore and lack of a second outside wr hurt his production. Year three the O line should be better. Diggs gives the Bills two wrs who can win on the outside and Singeltary plus whomever they bring in has to be an improvements of what was left of Frank Gore. Until McDermott quits sitting on small leads he still might struggle to push up to 240 yards a game. The defense is good enough that a 10 point lead and Daboll takes a quarter off from even trying to push the ball
