Big Boy Press Conference Day
PetermansRedemption replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I hate Biden, he’s completely unfit for the presidency. From that angle, I still thought today’s press conference was one hundred times better than his disastrous debate. We will see who shows up for the next debate. If he has another like the first, he’s done. Even if he doesn’t, I’m not sure he bears Trump in November. -
Vegas Odds on Bills landing Michael Thomas

I can’t imagine his market is more than vet minimum. I’d bring him in for a camp tryout/preseason fodder and find him a spot if he absolutely shines. -
Sunday Ticket lawsuit alleges price fixing by the NFL
PetermansRedemption replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is what I was thinking would happen. You’ll be offered a single team at a reduced price, the reduced price will just happen to be single percentage points cheaper than the entire league price. -
Tonight's Debate
PetermansRedemption replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I do believe they should. At a minimum they could increase the child care subsidy. My wife and I make pretty decent money and it still hurts to pay $1800 a month in childcare. I can’t imagine how families that make median incomes make it work. The costs are completely out of control (like most things you could argue). The difference is, this one impacts the work force, productivity, and is 100% necessary if you have two working parents. Average cost per child ends up being around $1200/ month. -
Tonight's Debate
PetermansRedemption replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What got me was that both of these men have had 4 years (Trump 4, Biden 3.5) to make childcare more affordable, and neither one have even came close to executing. But, suddenly they are going to waive the magic wand during their second term? If people believe that, then I have a bridge to sell them. Neither one of these men should be able to stand there with a straight face and argue they are going to do anything for childcare. -

It is amazing how well this man used to speak. Night and day difference, you wouldn’t even know it’s the same man. -
I’m not sure this holds anymore. Back 15 years ago when you could get a house in Tonawanda for 87k, sure. Now that same house is 250k and has the property taxes to match. If you don’t care where you live, then I’m sure Buffalo has affordable spots. But go into any decent neighborhood anymore and it isn’t very affordable. Once you factor in property taxes, you can find the same house elsewhere. Taking simple home price of XXX dollars you come out with a far different picture. But not everyone has massive property tax exemptions and pays in cash.

Tee Higgins to sign franchise tender
PetermansRedemption replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs second half of the season and the playoffs left a lot to be desired. If that Diggs was showing up this season, then removing him from the team was a net positive regardless of the trade return. I’ll take a top 5 pick in the 2nd round any day for that. -
Completely average QB. Has never distinguished himself amongst the middling pack. Disgusting overpayment but that’ll happen with any QB that signs an extension. Talent doesn’t much matter. Whether you’re Lawrence, Watson or Mahomes, it’s just who signs last. Jaguars are going to be choked by this deal, zero chance they compete anymore. Maybe not so obviously better after all. I’d only put him slightly above Daniel Jones TBH

Southwest added 5 flights for Bills away games
PetermansRedemption replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Add me to the crowd that loves southwest. After swearing them off for years due to their boarding process, they have won me over. They offer the best value combined with frequently arriving on time and not cancelling their flights (at least in my personal experience). Most places I can get round trip with 3 people for $1000, which is about as cheap as I can find anymore. Plus if you have a child under 6/7 you get to board between A and B groups. Really makes it a lot less stressful as I just pay for the cheapest fare and know my boarding position is right after the A group. -
Ticketmaster Live Nation Antitrust
PetermansRedemption replied to Reks Ryan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would have agreed with you before the extremely sophisticated bots that now exist. Back then you could line up at HSBC Arena and get good seats. Now, average Joe has absolutely no chance at snagging good tickets. The market now operates as Venue—>Ticketmaster (who adds exorbitant fees)——>scalper (who adds insane markup)—->average Joe consumer. -
