  1. My deepest apologies.? I think the Texans/Chiefs game will much closer than people expect. For those so inclined, the +10 on Houston seems like the right side. Watched the regular season match-up and KC had zero answers for Watson and Hopkins so I don't see Houston rolling over. Plus. Andy Reid.
  2. Nah man. Gotta disagree here. Yes; she was given more opportunity than almost anyone in the world. I'm with you there. But how many of these kids actually put in the work like J Pegula? All the opportunity in the world doesn't negate the effort she put forth. It's an odd position I find myself in defending the privileged, but you're acting like she was handed a tennis career that lead to a match-up with Serena. Crazy talk.
  3. 100 percent same. I'm gonna take GB -4, but I hate betting against Russell Wilson. Gonna roll with it for all the reasons you cited. That Pettine defense won't be giving up 3rd and forever like Philly because they'll bring the heat; and for all the Marshawn hoopla, Seattle really can''t run the ball effectively right now. We'll see.
  4. It's just a faulty premise. Kind of like saying Steph Curry would be JAG without his 3 point shooting.
  5. That was most definitely the swing game for the Bills. Solid win despite the fact that MM was still playing. Agree with everything you said, but I'm not exactly "glad" to seem them doing well. I'll forever hate the Titans for some odd reason. Can't quite pinpoint the origin of the hate.
  6. He's also got the ball possession thing going. They know exactly what they're doing on offense and make sure they take as much time as possible off the clock based on their team situation. Offensive line has maulers and Henry is a terrific back. He knows how to win with THAT team. I'm a fan of his coaching. I had a strong feeling he wasn't gonna hitch his wagon to MM's star. Too good of a coach for that.
  7. Everybody's talking about Baltimore, but I think it's time to start giving the Titans some credit. Mike Vrabel is doing a h*** of a job with that squad.
  8. True that, but the 49ers have invested HEAVILY in their defensive line and it is paying off big time. Yes. They have a terrific run game. Yes. Jimmy G is a good QB. But the pressure that DL creates is the X factor for the Niners. Bills would be wise to follow their lead.
  9. Pretty sure I didn't see a Bills offensive lineman do what Saffold just did. As much as the Bills need another RB, they need to upgrade one of the guard spots with a mauler.
  10. Here's one slightly off topic. Why don't teams just jump Offside (attempt to induce a false start) when a team has first and goal from the 1 or <? You have almost nothing to lose and you've got a real shot at creating a false start that would dramatically alter the situation.
  11. Right. Brady is not gracious in defeat. Throws his helmet, whines to refs, etc. Coming to the podium and giving polite cliche's does not equate to gracious. Serena and Brady are both "perhaps" the greatest to ever play their respective sport, but neither is gracious. I've never really had much interest in grace. Nobody's happy when they lose and the true greats are never going to just accept it and let it be. That's probably part of the reason they're great to begin with. Every single great player in every single sport has had a massive ego, whether they're publicly gracious or not. But that is awesome for Pegula. Love to see the offspring of billionaires go out and make a name for THEMSELVES.
  12. Right. I just caught JW's response. Just why dude? Everyone begging for attention in. JW/Coleman/Stalker. They all come across as buffoons, but I would give JW and Coleman a special spot here in the buffoonery be even engaging in this nonsense. Just cover the teams and give your opinions or ditch sports and create a rendition or Real Housewives of wherever involving sports commentators.
  13. The stalker practically begged the idiot "journalist" to respond negatively and even evoke family by saying "he could go full blast and talk about your mom." I don't know why Coleman is responding and this stalker is clearly begging for attention. This is not a good look for either party.
  14. Pederson has a great scheme and that Eagles offense had a great line/solid weapons in 17. Wentz, while very good, may have been the most overrated QB in the league at that point in time. As it stands NOW, he's probably the most underrated QB in the league. OL was decimated this season and the receivers were trash. Still put up very solid numbers and lead the Eagles to the playoffs. He's good. Great? I don't know. But he's certainly not a bum.
  15. I'm not paying Spain or J Phillips 9 mil/yr if I'm Beane, but I don't believe those numbers will match their respective contracts; Phillips may be viewed as a one year wonder and Spain sat on the market forever last offseason. His play wasn't exactly "inspiring." I'd personally prefer a better run blocker at the LG spot, so bye bye at 9 mil per. I AM paying Shaq 7-9 mil per, but I believe he will get offers considerably higher. Easy pass on Spain, but much tougher decision on J Phillips. From the sound of Beane's PC, I don't expect them to give Phillips a big deal. Not a fan of Star's 10 mil per, but that's a seperate convo I suppose.
  16. Yeah. I'm not buying that 8 mil figure. I think people are gonna be shocked by the contract he receives. Something in the range of 11-12 mil per is what I expect. If you look at his numbers and trajectory, he actually looks like a rising star. I don't believe that to be the case, but there is going to be some team that looks at his upward trend and view him as something he's not. I can do with or without Shaq. He's a "nice" player. But this is the position I'd really like to see them aggressively address in FA'cy.
  17. Right. Allen is the starter. We know that. There are some fans skeptical(myself included), but nobody is calling for a new STARTING quarterback. I think Allen's a big boy and there are always going to be fans calling for the backup. There were fans calling for BARKLEY to start for heaven's sake. So what? The Bills are going to have to get better to make the postseason in 2020. They've got plenty of resources to acquire talent and plenty of young guys you'd assume will get better. BUT. If Allen were to miss a few weeks, I don't want Matt Barkley running the ship. These could be pivotal games for all we know. I'm in favor of any move to improve the team.
  18. People can scoff all they like, but I believe this is true. Bledsoe was absolutely toast, especially down the stretch as his body wore down and his "mobility" suffered. Did real well in Dallas, right? It's well established and discussed that JP Losman was a terrible draft pick, but the Bills also "drafted" Drew Bledsoe in the first round. BB had to be stunned a team was willing to give up a first for that guy AT THAT POINT.
  19. I had the same thought. You bring in Winston; yeah, that's a message. It's highly likely he'll be starting somewhere, whether it be TB(most likely) or elsewhere. If Case Keenum is gonna upset the apple card, that's a problem. With JA's propensity to run and the Bills strong defense, a viable backup could very well end up making a difference if an injury were to occur. Barkley crumbles under pressure and is EASILY upgraded. The Bills should be in the business of WINNING football games.
  20. The disdain for Knox's lack of awareness is entirely warranted, but I'm personally more irritated that our "cerebral" center was marching down the field blocking air while the play was transpiring. Then he turns around and shakes his head. Man, get that head turned around DURING the play Mitch.
  21. I guess I didn't much care about the Jaguars in 2017 because it wasn't a "tough" loss, but I absolutely wanted the Titans to lose in heartbreaking fashion in 1999. Felt "really bad" when Kevin Dyson came up a yard short. So sad. So yeah, I don't wanna see the Texans win anything.
  22. There's a kernel of truth here, although it's largely just a "feeling." "Experts" are generally in line with what the betting public is thinking, and when the betting PUBLIC likes the Bills, it usually doesn't go well. From my view point as a sportsbook ticket writer, the REALLY good teams win/cover even when everyone is on them.
