I think people don't recognize what the preseason really is. It's football but in it's barest sense. No disguised coverages, no blitz packages, no gameplanning. It's blocking and tackling and base defense. It's all about evaluating your 2s and 3s it's and getting the rust off the 1s without getting them injured. I want to see Allen throw the ball around. I want to see Harrison Phillips in 1 on 1 battles on the interior. I want to see Edmunds look like he knows what he's doing, but I won't lose my mind if things don't look sharp as a tack, especially in game 1.

Brown also had an absolutely abysmal combine. I think he benched 225 like 9 times, really bad. and slow, and nonathletic was the best way to describe him. -
Sheryl Crow lookin rough these days. that's a pass

Is the concept of the "Triplets" dead?
Soda Popinski replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I meant 10 with the same team. Marshawn 3, Gore 2, Peterson 3, Shady 2 it's tough to keep a back, especially an elite one anymore. You want to have them the bulk of their HOF career and not overpay for those Emmit Smith years in Arizona. -

I think it's still possible but much less likely. Look at ATL. Ryan, Jones, Freeman should all be together for the foreseeable future. It's not easy because that elite WR/QB tandem is much more likely to stay together than the QB/WR/RB trio. With today's league getting a RB to go 10 years is almost unheard of anymore, I still think it can be done but it's a pretty big rarity. -
Definitely going to watch Shaq and see if he's going to push for the starting job. DT behind Kyle/Star/Phillips is wide open. Be nice to see some WRs step up and do something. And I cannot wait to see that Allen kid. And Edmunds. Oh and everyone please, remember last preseason??? Where White got beat like a drum regularly for 4 games??? Don't put stock in the preseason to an extent. He really struggled, but once the season started IDK what they did but he went crazy.

HBO's Limited Series "Sharp Objects"

They can wrap it up any time now. I still think the dad did it. But I'm guessing there is some kind of crazy turn at the end. Does it feel a little bit like HBO saw Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri and decided "hey we can make a different version of that and add some side stories to it"? -
What neighborhood do you live in?

na, none take, the problem isn't really the wife, it's both of them. Our daughter wants us to come down all the time. I thought when she moved out to go to college she'd make new friends and all that but she really just enjoys spending time with us. I think if we don't move down, she may move back. They have a strong bond. Me, i'm just happy if i can sneak off to catch fish. And i'll be happier the closer we get to salt water boat ramps regardless. I wanted to move west because I catch a lot of fish in the Tampa Bay area. It will suck if the boy goes off to college and I don't have a hunting and fishing partner anymore but i'm sure I'll find someone to wet a line with. -
HBO's Limited Series "Sharp Objects"

Ok where are we at on this thing now? I saw the last episode and seriously nothing happened. You get snippets of back story here and there but by and large the lack of anything is making me lose interest. I wasn't terribly interested to begin with and now that Preacher is getting good and Better Call Saul is back on, plus that new one the Lodge looks pretty good i may stop watching all together. -

I know, and on the Florida Sportsman forums i go to they are laughing at me too for moving back down to that absolute hell. But the daughter and FSIL both have pretty good career prospects and of course the wife wants to be closer. I was internet scouting and Loxahatchee looks pretty passable. 1 acre lots, no HOA, room for the boat (it's in a storage facility now and i hate that, more motors get stolen from those places than anywhere else). The current HOA sucks. We have bahia so no grass issues, not that I would water anyway. But I had a collapsible basketball goal a few years ago and left it by the road and the HOA had kittens. Challenge accepted. Then they send you a notice every once in a while "you need to keep your garbage bin inside your garage"....Yea and you can go eff yourself kindly. If they had trash pickup twice a week, maybe MAYBE. But this once a week crap where the neighbors on the other side of the street get it Tuesday/Friday is total BS. I have no idea what our HOA does other than hassle me One guy called the police because I parked the boat/truck in the driveway and blocked the sidewalk. So I got a ticket from the PD who didn't bother to knock on my door and say "hey mind moving the truck so people can walk the sidewalk?" which I would have been more than happy to do, i was in the house literally 30 minutes and I come out to a $45 driving award??!!!! So after I stopped the blackout rage I did get it thrown out. Never again. -

5 acres would be fantastic. I would kill for some land. Actually we're considering moving in a couple years when my son graduates hs. Wife wants to be closer to the daughter and the FSIL. Found a place near south FL that is pretty perfect. 1 acre lots, not far from boat ramps. We'll see. But after 15 years in an HOA I'll never consider one again. -

I don't know the verse because when my wife showed it to me I blacked out. Probably John 3:16 or something regardless it might as well say "HA! Fooled youuuuuu" in Rick Moranis's voice from Spaceballs. -

Oh and for everyone who leaves that fake $5 bill that when you open it there's a bible verse in it, from all of the people in the restaurant industry to you......****** you. Try paying your electric bill with that piece of paper, or see if they take it at the grocery store. Just an excuse for people to tip nothing without the guilt of not tipping. -
