Im all for drafting a C this year …. I have just started looking at the draft options …. I wouldn’t be using Pick 28…( get a WR please) … and Van Pran will be gone when they pick at the end of Round 2 … any thoughts on Frazier ? Don’t know much about him …would maybe prefer one in Rounds 3-4 who doesn’t have to be the Week 1 starter in 24 and can sit behind Bates or Morse for a bit ..

I haven’t heard about his rehab … but I was referring to the 2022 season when they acquired him in a mid season trade and only used him on the O a handful of times ….which seemed a bit of a waste to me .. There will be a different O being installed by whoever the new OC is in 2024 in any event

Greg has just released another one of these… Bad news is that the projected 2024 NFL salary cap number is going to be lower than expected… so the Bills are going to start $50M in the red … Also says that they will have to restructure Diggs again to free up enough money to get under the cap next year …

Other moves they could make … Extend Douglas and Johnson… I would roll the dice on extending Dawkins who just had his best year .. but not McGovern … want to see more than 1 year … So that makes it around $20m now? A big name WR is a pipe dream in FA …could still sign a mid tier guy like Mooney .. I don’t necessarily think the outlook is “bleak” provided they can upgrade the WR room ( which was ordinary in 2023..)… So this does include getting a contributor in the draft ..so go in on Round 1 Do this and with a good OL in place, Cook ,Shakir Kincaid and McDermott making it work on the D… there is a path

I don’t see Von or Diggs agreeing to a pay cut …but I still see other roster moves being made like restructuring Josh again and cutting some other guys to allow some modest FA moves …which may include finding a mid tier WR … not expecting Evans or Higgins though

Why do they need to convert or transition a CB to safety? Just draft one or get one in FA … They don’t need to break the bank or get a guy in the first round … I have confidence McD and Beane can find a Safety or two …

So what’s the thoughts on picking up his 5th year option ? Wont be cheap .. but they probably have to do it to buy themselves more time to work out their DE problems …

Actually predicted this one correctly … (and got others wrong) … I expect him to be successful … some people are worried about their cap but I don’t think that will slow him down much …

He had to deal exclusively with Dorsey .. who seemed to have some trust issues as witnessed since his departure I would definitely have him back returning kicks and punts if he is back to that 2022 form

He was ok on special teams when they bought him in midway through 2022 … we dont know how he would go on O because they never gave him a chance …just another player they didn’t trust because he “hadn’t learnt the system “..

In terms of the numbers … they will go Defense heavy in the draft But I still expect them to pick at least 1 receiver ( first round), maybe another mid round depending on what happens in FA… and a C in rounds 3-4 to learn the job for a year and take over in 2025 … Get that done and I could care less if they use all those Day 3 picks on the D …

In the event he is cut … The money lost to cut him gets pushed out over 2 years rather than 1 … if that helps the team then great … I don’t personally think it will happen this off-season unless he himself makes it happen by acting like a brat …
