  1. Every single QB in the NFL has their bad games.
  2. Many if not all of these stats are meaningless without considering the rest of the offense. I'm not suggesting Josh is better than the others because in fact he might be worse.
  3. You a tweet critic? Seriously, we can't overlook Denver. I think they were leading at the start of the 4th in four of their losses.
  4. Yesterday was the first time I heard they struggled with the uptempo. Not to say we shouldn't try it, but I assume they're working on that this week.
  5. Josh was asked about Daboll being upstairs in his post game yesterday. He jokingly said there were a couple of times he stepped up for the snap and looked to Daboll on the sidelines and couldn't find him, then remembered he was up stairs. I don't think Daboll was talking to him.
  6. With all do respect, don't say this
  7. I agree but the question is why? Are the routes not opening as they should? Is he missing his receivers on their routes. Is his O line giving him additional time to improvise? Is he scrambling to buy himself more time to find an open receiver? There are both good and bad about this. One of Josh's strength's is his ability to scramble and buy himself more time to find a receiver. Let's not be critical of that. Obviously given this, he needs to do the smart thing with the ball and throw it away if he doesn't find a open receiver. I think he's gotten better and recognizing that. I think the Denver roster has good talent on it. Their weakness is Elway and the coaching staff.
  8. the middle is strong. Edges need some help.
  9. Denver was successful stopping the run, limiting the Vikes to just over 2yds per. They came averaging 4 1/2 yds per. Diggs tore up Davontae Harris, who was pulled the last two series. I'm not sure Brown is as good as Diggs, but Daboll needs to study that and see how Diggs was beating Harris. If it was just speed, we probably can't replicate that. I think our TEs could have a big game.
  10. Typical Denver weather this time of year. Shouldn't benefit either team.
  11. There is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating Lamar and his success. I want to see every draft pick become that special player. Of course, and that is true for any rookie through about year three, and thus the 4yr rookie contract. Some need more than a year or two to adjust to the NFL. Others peter out after a couple of years. Lamar is having a great year. But on every one of his runs, I find myself waiting for that train to come out of nowhere and flatten the kid. I've seen that too often. How many licks can the kid take? Yet to be determined, right?
  12. This doesn't say that, right? It says what he did doesn't result in any suspension.
  13. I hope McDermott's actions match his words. We'll see if he walks the talk.
  14. I think criminal assault charges are also appropriate.
  15. This is the most significant difference with our receivers. We don't have anyone that goes and gets the 50/50 balls.
  16. I'd love for no teams to show up. Doubt that happens, but...
  17. Seattle's TE, fight for the 50/50 ball and one handed catch last night, for example.
  18. I was thinking the other day that the offense plays not to lose for 3 quarters, then flips the switch and plays to win the 4th. The defense...just the exact opposite. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's my bias, but in all of the other games I watch each weekend, most teams seem to have WRs and TEs that make their QB look really good; the pass is anywhere near them and they go and get it, and come down with remarkable catches. You can count those made by Bill's receivers this year on one hand.
  19. It's probably time to open up the offense
  20. While I don't disagree, I will never bet against NE in the playoffs.
  21. Lot's of skill players named in this thread. I think the game is won in the trenches. Our O line has to get us a couple of hundred yards rushing. Our D line has to hold the Browns to 150
  22. It felt like Rivers and the LAC thought they needed a TD didn't it? You got one of the best FG kickers in the league, get the 35yds and go home.
  23. I hate to pimp up a Pat on this board, but Edelman holds clinics on most Sundays on how to create separation. I couldn't believe the separation he was getting in the SB last year. Early on in the SB, I was saying Edelman deserved MP if NE won the game. The routes and separation he was running and creating were amazing.
  24. While I don't disagree, the separation a WR creates has a lot to do with ball placement. The less separation requires the ball to be placed where only the receiver can catch it which is at times not where you'd put it for maximum YAC.
  25. Southern CA is much like eastern NY in the media.
